I too am flabbergasted by the SC on this one. By the Lords of Cobol this show rocks!! I mean c'mon now, nominated for two Emmys and debuting at number one in it's demographic. I realize the Emmys are somewhat self serving but they do mean something. Also some (elitist) people think that just because something is popular it is automatically drivel. Well, I say that kind of thinking is the real drivel.

I'm down with sports. I jumped the EA behemoth years ago when Sega launched their (not anymore ) 2K sports titles. I've played them ever since.

I've seen it now and here's what I think if anybody cares: I'll keep it simple, too major a departure from the origin and characters(Doom and Ben Grimms wife). I did enjoy the movie somewhat, particularly the representation of powers and the overall personalities of the characters. Nevertheless, the whole time I kept thinking: This isn't Doom, this is not Doom! As for the lack of action mentioned by several people, let's remember that previous first super hero movies had to deal with origins. It was ok, but I wish it had been better. Should have had Sam Raime do it, or someone who loves the Fantastic Four as much as he loves Spiderman. Here is a link to a review that I think nails what I am trying to say.

Well met Grayfox. Couldn't agree with you more. Hellbinder, while I think you are somewhat extreme I certainly welcome your viewpoint. Rampant immorality couldn't exist without your kind of view to define it. Just like ugly defines and brings into existence beauty and vice versa. Where I absoluty agree with you is the disturbing trend to push the boundaries of what can be done within a particular rating. PG-13 of a few years ago was nothing like it is today. But you know what, people are buying it in droves. The problem isn't really with the movie companies is it?

All right everybody, THAT'S IT! I just got tickets off Fandango and I am seeing the next show tonight. I am a fan of the comics(I still have them and if I had the disposable time and income, I would read them today Cruis.in) and I did enjoy the Hulk. In fact I have Hulk comics also, I have the DVD and I think that I will watch it again(Scriv I'm just checkin' the fools with ya brother ) just so some of you can rake me over the coals about it! Just so you all know how riled this thread got me, I've been a shut in(besides work) for the last three years or so and I am going to brave the cruel world alone just so I can come back and throw down with some authority! In the meantime "be excellent to each other and PARTY ON DUDES!
