OK, wife's going into hospital tomorrow to have birth induced, so depending on how long that takes to start (could be up to a couple of days), I'll be home alone with the two young'uns for a good few days (at least 5 in this system), though friends, relatives and neighbours have offered to help me out by taking them off my hands for an hour or so so I can get something done (or just have a break). We're well stocked up with forzen meals, so it shouldn't be too bad (We're getting good at this ) If I'm a little less available over the next couple of weeks, that'll be the reason. Well, if I ever get round to doing stories again, it'll most likely be roleplaying here or at my fleet forum, since roleplaying has been suffering from a lack of activity in recent times, and I have some ideas in that respect, but a lot of other more pressing projects in the meantime (some administrative, some fun, some spiritual)

Some very nice work there, I'm looking forward to future installments of the Shadows of Yavara. If I had the time, I'd join in (but I have an insane number of extra-curricular online and fleet-related projects running at once at the moment). Any reason why you have PM's disabled here? A Duron 1.3 Ghz is way below the minimum system requirements for the game (the minimum is a Pentium 4 2.0Ghz or equivalent AMD processor (i.e. Athlon XP 2000+ at the very least) UCAWA product info my UCAWA was created 11 August 2005, 07:01:00 and modified 13 April 2006, 08:13:59 my UCAWAMP was created 11 August 2005, 07:01:00 and modified 13 April 2006, 08:12:01 so something went wrong with your patching process.

Still a bit of work to do (especially on the website), but we're up to the stage where we can start taking people in, training them and giving them missions. The plan is to recruit people to the fleet, train them up and have it functioning well within the ranking structure as outlined in the Wraith Fleet Charter, then whoever shows the most promise and dedication from within it's ranks will be offered leadership (you remember the proposal I sent you a while ago?). I also considered the option of handing over leadership directly to someone appropriately skilled (with someone in mind) and discussed that possibility with that individual, but they felt that they didn't have the time to take on such a role and were happy where they were. If you have someone else in mind who you think would be appropriate, then by all means.

I formally announce that Wraith Fleet is again open for business. The wraith fleet website has been relocated here, and is in the process of being reconstructed, complete with itÔÇÖs own secure forums. In the meantime, Wraith fleet members will make use of ISSÔÇÖs secure forums for classified discussions and will receive SpecOps and multiplayer training via the infamous CIOPS directorate of Administration and Training, as well as access to the ISS classified tactical database up to level 2 (more than any other Galcom fleet), which has been specially expanded and enhanced for this purpose. Wraith operatives are required to operate in the most hostile of environments, surgically taking out hardened and well-protected targets deep behind enemy lines using stealth, advanced tactics and state-of-the-art equipment and weaponry. Their efforts save thousands of lives every day by destroying key enemy communication and command infrastructure and neutralising key personnel, denying those who would harm us the ability to fight. Are you up to the challenge?

Congrats, Jag! The little one will still be in my prayers. Being premature isn't nearly so much of a problem as it used to be, ICU care has improved so much in the last few decades it's insane (My mum is a consultant anaesthetist and regularly works in ICU). With fetal induced diabetes, the amniotic sac ages a lot faster, so it's better to be early. (over here, they artificially induce birth on the predicted date) My wife's fetal induced diabetes has been confirmed, though it's not extreme, so she has to report to a doctor three times a week (nothing compared to what your wife went through), and after she translats at a conference in a week's time, she says she'll be climbing stairs and lifting heavy loads to try and induce labour herself

That's OK, we'll get to the bottom of this (well, SC will, the rest of us just do what we can to help him narrow down the possibilities ) Please add your system profile to your signature when reporting a technical issue. It helps us narrow things down.

I can confirm. Exactly the same results as Matchoo, sp no problems, mp crashes after the scenario is loaded (but before deployment) with the floating point not loaded message (I have an AMD64 3500+)

OK, we have a new member, Cmdr. Matt Buckley, who will be flying the GCV Dagorian under the ISS flag from now on. We welcome Matt to the fleet, and at the same time announce that we are closing our doors to new members until further notice, to enable all our recruiting efforts to focus on reviving Wraith Fleet. All new applicants to ISS will be directed to Wraith Fleet, and all Wraith fleet members will receive the same basic training as ISS through our secure forums until their own secure forums are up and running.
