  1. quote: [/QB]Originally posted by Supreme Cmdr: aha! I was wondering about that. OK, I will disable that in the next patch. XP1 will have the ability to deploy/extract SFMs using this method and the transporters. btw, how come he cannot extract them using same waypoint method? Or doesn't that work?[/QB] I tried extracting them with the waypoints, but the shuttle just does a flyby without picking up the personnel. Also, flagging them for evac doesn't work, the checkbox resets to empty once the menu disappears.
  2. simple. get them into a shuttle and place a deploy team waypoint for the shuttle in space and launch. It should deploy the marines and crew into space.
  3. Starstations don't need better shielding; reducing the fighter cannons damage and increasing the damage of station PTA's is what needs to be done. As it stands now, you don't even need a cloak and PAD to totally shred a station. My philosophy is that a station should nearly breach an attacking capital ships' shields by the time that the ship is inside of the stations PTA range. Also, they need to stop targeting missiles or the missiles need quite a bit less armor. Finally fighter weapons should not completly breach the shields of something 100x it's size in under 30 seconds. Of course these are just my poersonal beliefs, and unless I were somehow able to send subliminal messages to the SC, there is prettymuch a nil chance of getting it changed
  4. You can't evac with transporter either... I don't believe that you can transport anywhere other than to a planet anyway. I say that because I tried to deploy them into space using the transporter... it didn't let me.
  5. Weegee, I tried setting waypoints and even going out in the shuttle myself to retrieve them... to bad I was only able to retrieve that corpses of the Flight Engineer and SFM after they refused to follow a dirrect order to Evac.
  6. WeeGee, check your private messages.
  7. I was unable to find out from the manual how to do it, but I did find a way to deploy them, unfortunately I too have been unable to find out how to retrive them.
  8. CTAS was dropped and has yet to be implemeted... maybe MP patch or XP1?
  9. Eclipse

    Pretty FPS

You can use a joystick to fly the aircraft in Operation Flashpoint... it makes it a little easier.
  10. Happy Bday.
  11. Nice upgrade... now I can't hide in the shadows anymore.
  12. Until the advent of MP, fleets are primarily RP elements. after MP comes... those RP battles get a new twist.
  13. Hmmm... could get expensive if you run out of Liquit Nitro,
  14. Read my comments in the BCC forum, overall a good start.
  15. Sheesh can't all ya'll vultures lay off the poor fellow until he's at least stated he is interested in a fleet. Your gonna end up scaring him off.
  16. Welcome aboard.
  17. Welcome to the forums. As it has been previously stated, upgrading systems can really help with the fuel situation. If you are out, use a shuttle to fly to a station to buy more.
  18. 1. Old speakers from a dead Packard Bell. 2. SB AWE64 3. yes, but I'm too lazy to upgrade.

(i put 50k armor points because the ship will explode anyway before you hit 0 anyway) well I actually think the odds would be in favor of those attacking you. 1. It would be a logistical nightmare to effectively command the fighters. 2. the lack of turreted weaponry with capital grade stopping power makes it extremely vulnerable. 3. The slow recharge of the main cannons makes them nearly impossible to use effectivly against smaller more maneuverable ships. nearly any small ships could out maneuver and out gun the ship while evading the fighter cloud... after the ship was destroyed, one could easilg jump out of the system cloaked. I didn;t mean to rip the ship apart, just my thouts on it [ 01-17-2002: Message edited by: Eclipse ]
  20. I would suggest getting XP pro. Other than a few minor security breaches that were related to file sharing, and the NVIDIA/VIA/XP bug I've not had any problems.
  21. hmmm... well I think he could have left off the story that took 3/4 of the review space, and played the game more so that he would have more to say. I'd guess he played about 10 minutes.
  22. I think either Jupiter's Moons or Saturn might be safe... I've never really hung around one area long enough.
  23. Well lets see.... I got a watch, some tools, some clothes, a couple games, and a book case... thats about it.
  24. I thought it was very well done. The scenes that were left out were, for the most part, side events. It would have been nice to see them, but oh well. Cave Trolls take ALOT of punishment before they go down, and that balrog was very nice.
