Yes, that last post definetly added to the discussion....

"What?" says the kid... "No, I'm just trying to get Resnig into the airlock." ROFLMAO. That was great!

I want him dead because taking him anywhere with you is kinda like being warped into a bad episode of Gilligan's Island. He is Gilligan and your the Skipper....

Good attitude LostinSpace....I like it. quote:I disagree. He has purchased a copy of the game, presumably in good faith although from a possibly less than totally reliable source, which has subsequently turned out to be pirated software. The vendor of the copy he has is the pirate, not Jascatar. However, legally Jascatar should either purchase a legitimate license or stop using the software. With all due respect, Richard, he said flat out he bought the game WITHOUT a CDKEY. As ANYONE buying games should know, buying a game without an original CDKEY is illegal. Furthermore, pirating=stealing. Receiving stolen goods is a crime. If Jascatar even had a SMIDGE of a clue that what he was getting may have been less than legal he could, in all technicality, go down with the ship. Frankly, I'm shocked and amazed that anyone would even try to argue this point as it seems pretty cut and dry. (Disclaimer: The following is my own, personal, opinion) Jascatar, I think it's safe to say the Battlecruiser community would love to have you as part of our ranks as you seem genuinely interested in the game. I've seen you post tons of questions about different aspects as you try to learn it and that is definetly outstanding. However, if your copy of the game is not legal, then you need to hide until you do have a legal copy (with your own CD-Key).

No problem LostInSpace. Typically, you want to keep your replies to one post per reply (i.e. don't make 3 separate posts). Beleive it or not, it's more confusing the other way(the way your currently doing it). I'm not a moderator or admin so I'm not handing down canon or anything but thats typcially how it goes.

Wasn't some of Bad Boy's 2 filmed in your home town SC? I think I remember being down that way at the time and I got rerouted all the hell over town to avoid the area their scenes were being shot on.
-
If you read this before the SC ties you to a bottle rocket, there is a search button at the top of this page. Use it please. If you don't find anything, we can go further but I can tell you right now it is almost undoubtedly a problem on your end (drivers, exc.). Note: Post changed to better suit the holiday of July 4th. :-) [ 07-02-2003, 10:00 AM: Message edited by: Bandus ]

LostInSpace, why don't you just post one reply instead of three separate replies? Jascatar, despite your evident enthusiam about the Battlecruiser series, do you realize that as far as I can tell, you have blatantly admited software piracy to the DEVELOPER of the game? I'm anxiously awaiting the answer on how you registered on the site as well w/o a CD-KEY, that should be interesting the say the least. Meanwhile, I'm going to hide my ass behind about 5 feet of solid lead to avoid the fallout from the nuclear firestorm that is about to be unleashed.

Yeah, I really did forget about the fact that Jascatar is French. Sorry about that, bud. But seriously, that seems like a mistake of just not reading. I mean, in the PDF files even if the title of the game wasn't written there are dates from 1998 in there. That should probably set off at least one or two warning bells?
-
Derek, a long time ago I got pissed off at you and I wrote a post asking something along the lines of "Why the hell are you so mean to newbies asking newbie questions?" After reading this thread completly several times, and downloading and looking at the PDF file he was seeing JUST TO MAKE SURE it was what I thought I have to say that I COMPLETLY UNDERSTAND YOU. Good point Tyrn. My bad.

ROFL.

Yeah, I caught that VIA Gamespot DREADA. I did read a few reviews about the game though and while I am going to wait awhile till more of the features are ready I will probably get it. The screenshots look very pretty and an MMPORG set in the Star Wars scene may be interesting.

For those of you asking for the GBS-II, the SC basically told you how you can get it. A few of you didn't listen. Look at the very bottom of my sig....you'll see some lovely italicized characters. Several others on this board have that writing. Now look a tad lower on the post, see the "Registered Date" section there? Yes, it shows that I've been on these boards for quite a while. Now look at the other folks with italicized writing at the bottom of their posts. Check their registered date and content of their posts (no rubbish, siddown, crap.) Sensing the connection between the post content, italicized writing, and registered date? Figure it out.

I have a question actually. Has anyone ever seen Resnig do something INTELLIGENT? As in, has anyone ever seen him do the right thing in a given situation?

Question about... star station resupply
Bandus replied to kschang's topic in Universal Combat Series
Enigma....you've earned your name by writing that RP story. Aggressor, along the same lines your thinking, I think the neatest thing about this game is that even the SC can sit down and play and not know whats going to happen each time he plays. I mean, he'll know WHY certain things are happening, but he won't be able to say exactly when it will happen. I think thats awesome. -
Your going to be shot.

It's almost definetly a video or sound card driver issue. Or check your bios (I think I said this already earlier in this thread). Check your bios and go from 8x to 4x on the AGP. The AGP Aperture size should also be set to HALF of you video cards memory. (i.e. you have a 128mb video card you set your aperture to 64mb).

Ayep, this is the one. Thanks folks!

1.) Will there be an auto save feature?
-
Star Shatter? Maybe? For some reason the name Anthony DiCamilo rings bells.
-
Formatted or formatted properly? I'm not sure what your saying by that honestly. Waiting 5 to 10 seconds would not help at all, I'm sorry. That's just rubbish. Granted, your right , it does upload data constantly, pressing a key while your computer is trying to gather data would not cause it to freeze. I assure you, I had the same problem as is being described right now and waiting 5-10 seconds doesn't have anything to do with it....If you still think it does, then we have differing opinions on this topic and it evidently isn't going to change. Only one of these opinions is correct. :-)

I *think* the appendix has pictures of ship types. You can skim that to try and find a picture of that ship. I like the story though. Thats the kind of action that makes me keep coming back for more with BCMG.

Planets like Jupiter that have hostile atmospheres would be pretty impossible to mine in I imagine.

quote:So what you are saying is games are incapable of crashingNever said that, or even alluded to that. quote:compatable with every computer format?Didn't say that either, bud. quote:It has nothing to do with the way you install the gameIn that case, assuming your right and that the install has nothing to do with the game running properly, I think it's a safe bet to say the install has about as much to do with it as say....waiting 5 or 10 seconds before doing anything when reloading a saved game? quote:Installation is too, easy, click here load there. You can't really mess that up.And yet people do. All the time.
