Gallion thought as he listened to BenÔÇÖs remarks ... The last thing I need is backup. Unconsciously, he began to rub the now vivid scar on his neck. To make matters worse, Savage offers his own version of an olive branch ÔÇô albeit temporary ÔÇô which caught him completely off guard. ShouldÔÇÖve been ready for that old man... he thought ... seems that the blades arenÔÇÖt that dull...good! Mayhaps this gaggle of motley fools has more than a snowballÔÇÖs chance....but still, one or two more prods just to be sure... Then one of the fools pipes in ÔÇØIÔÇÖm In!ÔÇØ Gallion made note of who the source of the outburst was and was just about begin anew his jabs at Savage when a timid Deer bolted from the SnakeÔÇÖs side. He did not pay particular attention to what the deer was saying until the he touched on a tender cord, ÔÇ£... your necklace is showing....ÔÇØ Necklace! What bloody necklace..?...GallionÔÇÖs thoughts began to skew, flashbacks and fast-forwards, pause, reverse, all at the same time. He had a Crazy Ivan look in his eyes, if only for a moment, then returned to his normal(?) jolly self. He shrugged it off, hoping that none caught his momentary lapse of reason, as he began where he had left off several seconds ago. There were four within the gaggle that caught GallionÔÇÖs lapse, The Deer, The Snake, The Mother Hen, and a Diamond in the rough. Then Ben began anew with another tirade, which once again interrupted his somewhat fragile mental process. Gallion thought, once again citing irrelevant nuances more likened to the controlled environment of the academy than reality. I gotta do something about this... But the luck of the Irish was not with the old corsair ÔÇô more like MurphyÔÇÖs luck was plunging his evil hand into the pot and giving it a good shake and stir for good measure. A ruckus was caused within the gaggle as one ÔÇÿcommie, who Gallion knew nothing about, took it upon himself to start a fracas as he nailed the Insurgent sitting next to him with a blind-side hook. Before the victim could retaliate or the mayhem spread, the Mercs stepped in and restored some semblance of order as they carted the ÔÇÿcommie away under heavy restraints. The gaggle meandered back to once they were before the rude interruption and Gallion once again prepared to renew his jabs at Savage. ÔÇØStop!ÔÇØ.. What the ... now!, Gallion thought, canÔÇÖt I even get my fun over with without anymore bloody interruptions? Oh-no, the head pea-shooter driver just stuttered his guts out... Once again the Corsair had to wait for someone else to get off their soapbox. ShouldÔÇÖve pressed the issues whilst I had the momentum, he thought, good, pea-shooter driver is done. Once Liev was done, Gallion started to chuckle to himself, which in turn progressed into crazed, manic-like laughter. The entire gaggle stopped what they were doing and their conversations amongst themselves and looked towards the crazy Corsair ÔÇô some thinking that they had a genuine loon aboard. Finally Gallion regained his composure. ÔÇ£Hehehe, now, now gentiles, we are not here to fight each other ÔÇô or so the theory goes. I just wanted to get yeÔÇÖllÔÇÖs attention and see how many here recall what has happened in the past. I suggest acquiring a better v-card. GFS2 MX or a GFS1. A Voodoo3 3000 series will suffice also if denero is an odstacle. Other than v-card, ye system specs will suffice. We interrupt regularly scheduled programming to bring you a live update on the explosions that ripped through Galactic Command Headquarters a few days ago. We now go Brett Mushberger at Ghq ...Brett, what has been going on at Galactic Command Headquarters since the explosions a few days ago...? Well Connie, things are returning to some semblence of normalacy here at Galactic Command. Though they were not always this way over the past day or so. Security is still very ... very tight but nothing that personnel assigned here are not already use to. The GALCOM PAO has just released their preliminary statement on to the cause of the mysterious explosions that ripped through the bowels of Ghq, causing significant structural damage to the station, and killed at least 55 people with one person still missing. The names of the personnel killed during the explosion are being withheld pending notification of the deceased next-of-kin. Brett, has GALCOM started the ivestigation yet as to what caused the explosions? [ - static ]- What was that Connie? I lost you there for a moment... Brett, I asked how was the investigation going? Has GHq security determined who or what caused the explosions? Getting info from GHq Security is like pulling teeth from a newborn babe Connie, so I cannot report whether or not progress is being made in the investigation. As to what caused the explosions - speculation is running rampant here in the press box. From Insurgent Terrorists, Gammulan SpecOp Forces, malfunctioning equipment, to operator headspace. The one thing that we all are certain about here in the press box Connie, is that this was no accident. Someone or some organization deliberately placed and set those explosions off during GHq's version of the morning rush. What about the missing person Brett? Has that individual been identified? Man am I getting my butt smeared in this thing. Lost two SHs and cant dock me BC at that Scientist Station located in Pluto (aka Gazer1) cause some pesty Hostile NPC craft is cloaked in system. THe bugger wont show its face and fight like any decent AI would - arrrrggghhhh I really created a monster I think. Sure didn't test out this challenging. Just goes to prove that no two game sessions are alike. But man, am I having a blast Gotta scoot before Miffy decides to call out a search party More news when I have any. Project complete I must say that this was not as dificult as I first thought it would be. GBS scripting is realitively simple once one gets the knack of it. Not that this makes me an expert or anything like that. I just barely scratched the surface of what scripting potential GBS has to offer. Food for thought folks. BCM cometh sooneth and I for one will not stand by waiting for mission scripts (SP or MP) to come down the pipe. Anyway, this has been one heck of an edjumication into how BC3K can work. Insurgent ACM is now complete. Barring any major script errors that is. I hope all who play this ACM enjoys it. This is not an easy campaign - you are warned. Most Mission Failures will result in ACM Termination. Sorry, had flashback to original ACM scripts way back in v2.0 days. Pay attention to commlink message traffic. TOD5-M1/1 is long ... real long .... real bloody long. But I thought that the extra time was needed, player will have to traverse the Terran Quadrant alot plus familiarize themselves with the good old manual to succeed in this mission. Good news, so-to-speak that is TOD4 complete, just have to peruse the final script copies and catch any other irregularites. Once that is complete then I will consolidate my 5 test script files into one. For TOD5 I am going to pull an SC and just make a whopper of a mission with a real long mission time. When I was playing original ACM I was bummed at how the ACM ended. Now that I have created my own nightmare, I can sorta feel what the SC may have went through when he was scripting the ACM. Without any major snafus or fubars showing their ungly head, this poject should be complete real soon.
