This was fixed back in the v2.02 patch I believe. For those that are experiencing this problem, What version are ye running and patching from? i.e. CD v2.0 US; v2.0-v2.08, v2.08-v2.09 patches. TTFN [This message has been edited by Gallion (edited 09-29-2000).]

Yep that be the way to fix it TTFN

Looks god Karl, be sure to notify when final location is determined TTFN

Congrats Ben Dependant on ye ISP, ye can get another IP from them - though this may require additional costs. Or ye can set ye PC for internet connection sharing - aka proxy server type software. Search the net, there is a plethora of info on xDSL and internet connection sharing techniques. TTFN

1. Press O when returning from planetside to get into space quickly - once attaining at least 45k ft altitude. Cannot orbit planets in space as spacestations and ODS platforms do. 2. Depends on the caste of ship. GHQ pays top dollar and EPs fer Gammulan slime 3. Yep but will cost you mega GALCREDS to do. OTS weapons aren't cheap. Insurgents are like cockroaches when the light to a room is turned on - they scatter. Ye may get some or mst but unfortunately ye will never be able to completely eliminate the Insurgent investation of Earth. 4. Ye can sell illegal cargo at any illegal spacestation that will allow your BC of SH to dock. 5. I usually DeD them. I do not believe in taking prisoners Welcome to our nightmare. All the questions that ye asked can be answered in the manual, version control file, or the BC3K FAQ. IOW please RTFM. THe manual is well writen and hasn't put me to sleep to date. Usually wakes me up 'cause I find something new each time I peruse those hollowed pages. TTFN P.S. as to the Fleet affiliation debacle, I suggest the Gammulan Caste. They get the biggest and baddest weapon system platform known in the BCM galaxy. [This message has been edited by Gallion (edited 09-24-2000).]

This or launch your own SH and tow yer BC yeself. RTFM - this is covered in the manual BTW. TTFN

Game Commander w/ a decent headset/mic setup is much better than MS product. Aside from mices I tend to stear clear from MS hardware products. I refuse to add to Billy Goats portfolio value. A good free VON product is Battlecom. Low bandwidth usage and decent communication quiality - dependant on one's connection type/speed. Assuming of course that we manage to survive the next 1,000 years as a species and society, age will not be a factor IMO. Look at the medical and technological breakthroughs in the past 100 years, heck the past ten years even. The sky is the limit and the only things that can stop it is ourselves as a society and our imagination. TTFN [This message has been edited by Gallion (edited 09-19-2000).]

The ever inept CO strikes once again. Who needs enemies when we have the capable CO Resnig to contend with TTFN

Ristar, Just a suggestion and a FYI - IMO, any RP that includes the Insurgency and military forces will more than likely result in Galcom/ISS RP character casualties (my thoughts only - Spectre HQ only knows fer sure) explore the political/diplomatic side of the ICV-GCV/ECV struggle in a RP saga. Come up with something different than the hack-n-slash Galcommie ego bloating storyline. Heck, this action could take place right on Terra Firma itself - Earth, the prize for both sides TTFN [This message has been edited by Gallion (edited 09-13-2000).]
-
Why not just explore the political side of the Insurgency v. UFN/Galcom struggle? Leave the brute force element (aka combat/military) out of the RP. This venue has not been explored or attempted in RP to the best of my knowledge - aside from the various mud-slinging threads. Not every RP endeavor needs to be an us v. them with military forces commited. Politics and diplomacy manuevorings are involved before, during, and after each military action. Look at the current real-world geopolitical situation(s) for examples. Food for thought. TTFN [This message has been edited by Gallion (edited 09-13-2000).]

This could work, given the turmoil and mayhem the Gams will be causing very shortly in my RP thread. The Insurgents could take advantage of the Galcom's weakness cuased by the Gams. Who/Whom ever starts this gig needs to get with the powers that be and get approval before starting. The SC just may not take a likin' to seeing his universe torn assunder. BTW - do you think that the Insurgency would allow a happy 'commie ending? I do not think that they would or will - my four bits minus two. TTFN

Sounds like ye folks needs a tea-party on the Thames IMO. Since ye doesn't drive the petrol taxes do not directly concern you. Indirectly you and all consumers pay the tax in the form of higher prices on all products. Petrol costs money, and tradition is that all costs are past to the end purchaser. Heck ye all have that VAT too. Here in the states, petrol is going for approx $1.55 (varies higher/lower depending on location) per gallion. Remove the various government taxes and the actual cost per gallion would be approx $0.95 - you do the math. TTFN

Great...go v2.07-v2.08, v2.08-v.209 Need to be running v2.08 before patching to v2.09. TTFN

I agree Tyrn, their ftp application sucketh bigtime. First time I loaded website up I was using DW3. Made several updates then they (crosswinds?) must've shut down ftp protocol. Since I have all the major stuff loaded it be no biggy fer me now. Try e-mailing crosswinds support fer answers. I was just commenting on the popup windows - annoying but livable and trying to point towards other possible locations. If ye are happy with the current site location by all means leave it there. Tac - if ye can get webspace pass it to those that wish it. For now, my location is fine for my site. Tyrn - if ye happy with yer site location then by all means remain there. {i]Your choice - my opinion don't mean squat in this matter. Hope this maketh sense TTFN [This message has been edited by Gallion (edited 09-11-2000).]

Only two (2) popup windows Tyrn. Two (2) to many IMO - same disclaimer as before. Though I do understand the web-space issue. Check this location out. Aside from the guidelines (EUA, AUP, etc.) they seem to offer the best without the usual banner or popup window mess. TTFN [This message has been edited by Gallion (edited 09-11-2000).]

Why?
-
Alright Csairs - lets scanty oveer to the Fleet Db and register. Note the change in the sig files. Adjust yours accordingly. Note - Individual ship mottos are no longer authorized. Per Galcom HQ directive from the SC. Corsair Wing Motto is "Run Silient, Run Deep". Going through some reorganization stuff. The Wing will not be broken into squadrons. Details will be posted on website - 40% complete (dont laugh to hard Tac). So remove any and all COrsair WIng Squadron markings/identification. There is no requirement to have a motto in ye sig file - however if ye choose to use the sig file then make the corrections.
