  1. Well ------------------ Commander Gallion GCV Graf Spee, Starbase Cerberus Wing Leader - Wraith Fleet/Corsair Wing "Run Silent, Run Deep"
  2. Sorry SC but there is to much bovine excrement floating around here that I feel need to be addressed. If given a choice between Wing Commander and Wing Leader then I say neither. In the Commander's signature spell out the title; e.g. Corsair Wing Leader or place some other attachment to denote a command position *Corsair Wing. This is not the forum to debate this IMO. My four bits minus two. 3. Thanks Blades - ye cleared things up fer me BTW - count me in ye yarn TTFN
  4. Bandus - no where in my posts about The order of the Jade Dragon did I mention that it was a government. Pay attention. Several members from various Galcom Fleets were members of the Order. The Order had the authority to tag any Galcom asset to accomplish its mission/goals. The Order was suppose to be an elitist type organization within an organization that did not exist - super-slueth type stuff. Needless to say that the Order is a dead issue. No further reference will be made to the lounge lizards by me. I suggest others do the same. IOW further discussion in reference to The Order of the Jade Dragon is closed - end topic. 5. Sounds cool, but before ye starts plotting and what not I needs some clarification. Time Frame Joy Ride takes place - before, during, or shortly there after of Wraith Massacre Reason - Akira managed to fall into a trap and get himself caught by 'commie forces - that in itself is a great piece of work IMO Akira still has a principle part to play in my yarn. I would rather not have a conflict of interest concerning RP endeavors.Awaiting answer(s) TTFN [This message has been edited by Gallion (edited 08-31-2000).]
  6. The Order of the Jade Dragon was organized and approved by the higher ups last year. Certain members of the forum were invited to be members of an governing/guiding inner circle dubbed the Dragon Council. The Order of the Jade Dragon was designed to be central clearing house for Galcom Intell and SpecOps assests. But not much has become of this since its inception. There was once a Order of the Jade Dragon RP thread that has been lost since the forum server move. Anyway - Fleet Ops will get the honor of interacting with ISS, etc. for any Intel or support that may need. Unless of course Fleet Ops will be tasking slices of Wraith Fleet ot other Fleets (think of JTFs in todays military). Anyway I think that The Order of the Jade Dragon is Dead and hereby resign my position on the Dragon Council- effective immediately. 7. quote:SOG and Corsair should think on getting ties with Earthcom and the ISS for any intel or support they may need that the Wraith Fleet itself won't (or can't) provide. Corsair has access to Intel. One member is a Bushi of the Dragon Council - unless of course the Dragon Council is now defunct and nothing more than a gathering of motley fools In which case I will need to modify my sig file. 12. Actaually I thought that I had come up with an original name - much to my chagrin when I did a yellow/white pages search during my early days on the net. Name of PnP RP character from days of youth. Computers were for the well-to-do in those days. Origonallt name was Gal-Lion, quasi french type name, then I got lazy and dumped the hyphen. Which results in name today. But if ye ever runs into a 13/14/16 level CN F/MU/T - watch ye backside and purse strings TTFN
  13. The Sait and Entrapment were both good flicks. I was let down with how The Saint ended but enjoyed Entrapment. The Art of War does not break any new ground IMO in the spy/sction thriller movie but I enjoyed it. Made me think about more than just visuals; had the plot figured out at 1/2 point. If one likes Wesley Snipes then they should enjoy the flick. I do like the gender twist that was used for the protagonist aramike01 - I agree to a certain point with you. I await you seeing the movie before spilling my interpretation(s) and yes - Heat was a good flick too TTFN [This message has been edited by Gallion (edited 08-26-2000).]

  18. ÔÇØÔǪLocal spies are hired from among the people of a locality. Inside spies are hired from among enemy spies. Dead spies transmit false intelligence to enemy spies,. Living spies come back to reportÔǪÔÇØ Master Sun, The Art of War [rp] 2227, March 15, 3008 LV-103, Alpha Cygni Planetside Tringad was given a standard issue Galcom PDA when he finally caught up with the old Falkyrie in an old dilapidated storage structure. His team spread about the structure to maintain a vigil against possible discovery by the meandering Gammulan Warrior patrols that seemed to appear when they were least wanted or expected. Tringad perused the PDA quickly. At first glance, the data file contained nothing unusual. Tringad noted nothing significant until he neared the end of the data file. The data file made subliminal references to a highly classified and secret Gammulan operation that had been in progress for several years. Somehow the Gammulans had placed an operative within what was considered the most secure Galcom organization. Or so it seemed at first glance. Tringad started dissecting the data file again from the beginning and more of the very vague pieces of a very complex puzzle began to fall into place. Tringad turned his attention from the PDA to the old Falkyrie and was about to ask him some questions as to the validity of the data when all hell broke loose both within and without the structure they were in. The Gammulans had found them and were peppering the dilapidated storage structure with explosives and weapons fire. Out numbered and outgunned, TringadÔÇÖs team members put up a furious rate of defensive fire, killing several Gammulan Warriors in the process with some well aimed and lucky shots. The firefight was in a stalemate, the Gammulans had the advantage in numbers and sheer firepower but Tringad and his motley crew had the tactical terrain advantage; the Gams couldnÔÇÖt advance without exposing themselves to deadly defensive fire. Suddenly, without warning, this all changed when the front fa├ºade of the storage structure literally disintegrated, killing two of TringadÔÇÖs motley crew and creating a large gap in the their defensive fire. Tringad ordered what remained of his crew to fall back before the Gammulans could take advantage of the breach the explosion had created. Two quick thing team members armed and placed several proximity mines along their avenue of retreat. A fire team of Gammulan Warriors, their warrior bloodlust peaked sensing an easy kill, failed to notice the proximity mines as they advance on the retreating crew. Exploding proximity mines ripped through half of the fire team, killing them instantly, and the remainder were either dazed or wounded. Tringad and the motley crew had bought themselves several precious minutes as the escaped through the rear of the storage structure, eluding capture as they slipped into the darkness f night on LV-103. Tringad signaled for a halt when was sure that they were no longer being pursued by the Gammulans. Tringad took several moments to consider his next move. Somewhere along the way, they lost the old Falkyrie or he had lost them. Minor nuisance and nothing that Tringad needed to worry about for the moment. More pressing matters concerned him than a lost Falkyrie. Against his better judgement, Tringad decided to transmit the data file from the PDA to the Graf Spee in orbit of LV-103. He preferred to limit his dealings with the crazy Corsair but given the current situation he had no viable option. Which turned out to be a good decision on TringadÔÇÖs part because just as the data transfer was completed, the motley crew once again became the object of a meandering Gammulan Warrior patrol. 2245, March 15, 3008 LV-103, Alpha Cygni Repairs to the Graf Spee were nearing completion when an urgent message was received from the surface of LV-103. The Battlecruiser and Transport had managed to successfully pass a standard ID check and query from a Gammulan Warship patrol only minutes before the message came in. Commander Gallion had to scan the message twice before he realized the implications. The data in the message was vague; though it answered many of rumors and innuendoes that the Corsair Wing Commander had heard and suspected prior to the Gammulan onslaught. There was one good piece of data though. One of the architects of the Gammulan offensive and member of the Gammulan Military War Council was due to arrive in LV-103 real soon, with heavy Gammulan Military escort. This was a prize that the old Corsair wanted to seize but couldnÔÇÖt. He had to maintain his current charade as an escort to TringadÔÇÖs Transport. Which was something he did not relish but knew had to be done. Gallion took stock in the situation and forwarded the data file to a Battlecruiser that he knew was lurking within the LV-103 debris field. If he couldnÔÇÖt do anything about the prize at least someone else could. There were several subliminal side benefits too that the old Corsair hoped would be realized by the Commander of the Battlecruiser lurking in the debris field ÔÇô before it was to late. [/rp] TTFN Hope that this post makes sense ------------------ Commander Gallion GCV Graf Spee *1st Squadron, *Corsair Wing Stationed, *Starbase Cerberus "Run Silent, Run Deep" ICQ# 29486270, EST (GMT-5) =Wraith Fleet= Second in Command, Wraith Fleet Bushi of the Dragon Council [This message has been edited by Gallion (edited 08-31-2000).]
  19. "...There are five kinds of spy: the local spy, the inside spy, the reverse spy, the dead spy, and the living spy. When the five kinds of spies are all active, no one knows their routes ÔÇô this is called organizational genius, and is valuable to the leadership..." Master Sun, The Art of War [rp] 2219, March 15, 3008 LV-103, Alpha Cygni Planetside The Gammulan Empire had completely eliminated all Falkyrie dissention on LV-103. So far the mission was an utter failure, at least in TringadÔÇÖs opinion. He and his team were unable to establish contact with any Falkyrie resistance cell, either in person or by any other communication means. Several times Tringad and his team were almost discovered by roving patrols of Gammulan Warriors. The situation on LV-103 was perilous and getting only worse as time dragged on. Commander Tringad was about to about to throw in the towel and contact the orbiting transport vessel to have him and his team beamed back aboard, effectively canceling the mission, when something completely unexpected happened. Just as Tringad was to give the transporter activation order, an old Falkyrie entered the room that they were in. ÔÇ£You are not of this world,ÔÇØ the old Falkyrie began in perfect terran standard, ÔÇ£nor of this planet or part of the Galaxy.ÔÇØ Tringad was dumbfounded, as was the rest of his team. One member of the team began to move her hand, as slightly and as nonchalantly as she could, to the weapon she had concealed between her enormous mammary glands. Tringad noticed this ever-so-slight movement and motioned for her to stop. The old Falkyrie noticed it too, and continued his diatribe in heavily accented terran standard, ÔÇ£I asss sumzing dat u wul b a wanÔÇÖinÔÇÖ. Com vit me.ÔÇØ The old Falkyrie did not wait for a reply, he simply turned about and exited the room, leaving Tringad and his team behind. 2233, March 15, 3008 Debris Field LV-103, Alpha Cygni The debris field was gaining more mass as it collected the flotsam for previous battles and other odd galactic tid-bits from the LV-103 system. The form of one such tid-bit took the form of the GCV Shogun. Fleet Commander Ristar order a shuttle to be launched to scavenge the field for any usable pieces of flotsam or galactic tid-bits that found their way in to the debris field. Initial salvage recovery proved to be so successful that the shuttle had to return to the battlecruiser to empty its cargo bay. Ristar thought that this was all well and good for a small portion of the crew. The salvage operation gave them something to focus on besides waiting for the next phase of the mission or brooding over the Gammulan war. A micro-burst transmission came in via the Dragon commlink channel, which caused a stir in the ISS Fleet Commander. Ristar quickly perused the incoming message and issued a shuttle recall order. The time for waiting had ceased, it was time for action. The prize was due to arrive real soon, and it was a prize that Ristar didnÔÇÖt want to miss. 20. When you will survive if you fight quickly and perish if you do not, this is called dying ground Master Sun, The Art of War When you cannot press forward, cannot retreat backward, and cannot run to the sides, you have no choice but to fight right away Mei Yaochen, The Art of War [rp] 2210, March 15, 3008 Zelana, Lanix V Mor-Dr could not believe the reports he was receiving nor the data that he was seeing as the battle intensified near the Herin jump point in Zelana. Just minutes before he was sure of Gammulan victory over the fleeing Wraiths, but not now. Somehow, someway Wraith was spared from assured annihilation by the timely, or untimely, arrival or reinforcements. Mor-Dr did not know where those reinforcements came from, nor did he care  per say. That was just scant minutes before he entered the maelstrom in Zelana. His main concern at the moment was not strategic or even the pursuit of Wraith, it was for himself and his ship as three Wraith reinforcement battlecruisers decloaked within 5km of his ship and began an unexpected and murderous crossfire assault on his Aestrom Carrier. Mor-Dr tried every trick he could think of to shake off the attacking battlecruisers; ECM failed, as did jinxing. Shield levels were near the failing point and his Carriers hull was breached in several areas. Launch bays were either destroyed or disabled which prohibited launching his fighters. Reactor power levels were dwindling as his ship was hit by a lucky missile shot up the preverbal tailpipe. Flight controls were becoming sluggish too. Damage and casualty reports were coming in faster than he could react to them. And this was just his ship. Similar reports were filtering in from throughout the Gammulan Vanguard warships that had hastily entered into Zelana pursuing what he thought were all that remained of Wraith Fleet. This is not good, thought the leader of the Gammulan Vanguard, not good what so ever Mor-Dr couldnt complete his thought. The shields of his Aestrom Carrier failed completely, just before it was pounded by a full barrage of Vagrant missiles unleashed from three attacking battlecruisers. One missile detonated near the Aestroms bridge, causing a minor hull breach near were Mor-Dr stood. The ensuing depressurization and escaping atmosphere caused all items not securely fastened to the bridge deck or bulkheads to become missiles as the sped towards the breach in the bridges bulkhead. Unfortunately for Mor-Dr he stood in the path of one such missile. The irony was that it was Mor-Drs personal datapad that struck him on the backside of his head, knocking the leader of the Gammulan Vanguard unconscious. Only time would tell if Wraith Fleet had stopped the Gammulan advance. At the moment they had the upper hand but that would not last much longer. Five Gammulan warships were entering the new battle zone for every warship that Wraith engaged in direct combat. Soon the numeric superiority of the Gammulans would dictate the tide of battle. That is unless something else unforeseen happened or that Wraith managed to pull a rabbit out of their hat 2223, March 15, 3008 Undetermined Locations throughout the Terran Quadrant Through out the Terran Quadrant the alert that originated in Antis went. The reaction was the same for the most part. Some wondered if the man behind the mirrored glasses had finally lost it whilst the zealots began to salivate uncontrollably. It mattered naught in the short term how the members of the man behind the mirrored glasses organization reacted; it was the long-term reaction that counted. Realization hit home through out the organization that this alert was not just another Chinese fire drill but the real McCoy. Warships were readied and ordinances were loaded. Loved ones prepared themselves for the inevitable as they said good-bye to the ones they cared for  may haps for the last time. Though slow in its beginning the activation of the man behind the mirrored glasses forces picked up steam as the minutes ticked by. One-by-one major units and bases reported their readiness status to the hidden Spectre where the man behind the mirrored glasses made his abode. The organization was at the ready, waiting for the man behind the mirrored glasses to give the final order that could change the geo-political power in the Terran Quadrant and the Galaxy for ever. 21. My constructive four-bits minus two Think of military heraldry or the old chivalry coats arms when contemplated the design of any unit insignia. Every part of a unit's insignia symbolizes the unit itself and the unit's mission. Take the definition of Wraith from any dictionary: wraith (n) 1. An apparition of a living person. 2. The ghost of a dead person. The Oxford dictionary has more complete listings of definitions but I do not have access to a copy Fighter Command is subordinate to Wraith Fleet and is a Fleet-wide asset that can be deployed anywhere at anytime. Some type of Wraith apparition(s) with wings in the process of swooping or diving from sun/star onto its prey (think of a several birds-of-prey, falcons, eagles, hawks, etc., swooping towards an unsuspecting rodent or serpent). Symbolism: The apparition diving onto its prey from the sun indicates surprise attack. The use of multiple apparitions symbolizes the multiple squadrons and wings of fighter Command. The use of a rodent (or serpent) as prey symbolizes the vulnerability of Fighter Command's targets. Color Scheme: Colors signify many things besides eye-candy depending on how they are used. Red usually signifies the blood a unit sheds in battle. Blue signifies the unity and cohesion of a unit. White signifies honor (or cowardness). Things to consider TTFN ------------------ Commander Gallion GCV Graf Spee *1st Squadron, *Corsair Wing Stationed, *Starbase Cerberus "Run Silent, Run Deep" ICQ# 29486270, EST (GMT-5) =Wraith Fleet= Second in Command, Wraith Fleet Bushi of the Dragon Council Ed Note: Excellent choice Whisper for the target [This message has been edited by Gallion (edited 08-21-2000).]
  22. It may be asked, when a large, well-organized opponent is about to come to you, how do you deal with it? The answer is that you first take away what they like, and then they will listen to you Master Sun, The Art of War Note: Hammerhead Wing was formally known as Delta Wing and was renamed for the upcoming BC:M release and to alleviate confusion with another Galcom organization. This RP was created and references BC3K fleet structures. IOW nothing available in BC:M will be available in this RP. For the purposes of this RP endeavor any and all references to Delta Wing actually mean Hammerhead Wing.[rp] 2159, March 15, 3008 Herin, Trenis Murphy struck again and not in favor of the feeling Wraiths this time. Just as the last Wraith warships arrived in Herin from Antis so did a small contingent  compared to the Gammulan Horde that was pursuing the battered fleet  of Gammulan warships arrive in the Herin system from the Ronus IV jump point. The count of the new Gammulan arrival was at thirty and increasing by the seconds. Most of the fleeing Wraiths were beginning to form up into defensive lines near the Lanix V, Zelana jump point and probes were arriving from the Antis jump point. Fleet Commander Londono had seconds to make a decision; it was not a decision he had ever wanted to make. In a matter of seconds Londono had to decide whether to save what was left of his once proud fleet or to go out in a blaze of death and glory. He took into account the fighting capabilities of each remaining warship  it did not look good  and weighed that against delaying the Gammulan Horde for as long as he and Wraith could. With some remorse the Wraith Fleet Commander sealed the fate of three warships. These three warships were slowing down the rest of what remained of the fleets tactical redeployment maneuvers. Londono gave them orders to make their stand at the Zelana jump point. All non-essential personnel on these three doomed warships were transported from them to warships throughout the fleet. The plan was simple, they would hold off the advancing Gammulan horde whilst the rest of the fleet escaped through the Zelana jump point. Needless to say, the Wraith Fleet Commander was becoming desperate 2202, March 15, 3008 Nullspace For what seemed like the millionth time, Delta Wing once again lined up and began its approach towards the unstable flux-field that would free them from the confines of void of nullspace into the realspace. Delta Wing stretched out like the ancient freight trains on earth as they approached the flux-field. One-by-one they entered the fluctuating energy mass. Some made it through whilst others did not. Commander Bandus crossed his fingers and recited a silent prayer as his battlecruiser neared the pulsating field. Bandus felt a slight phase variance, common when transiting jump points, which indicated a successful flux-field entry and crossing. Now came the disorientation as the battlecruiser navigation computers regained navigational fixes to determine where in the galaxy he and the rest of Delta Wing that made it thru the flux-field were. The seconds ticked by. More and more of the other Delta Wing warships were making it thru the nullspace flux-field, the count was forty and growing as seconds ticked by. Activity increased at the other side of the system  Bandus still didnt know where he was  as other space vessels entered through the jump point located there. The Commander of Delta Wing accessed his TacOps display, what he observed shocked him and at the same time he knew where he and his wing were in galaxy. Murphy giveth and Murphy taketh. He has the uncanny ability to even things out; over time. For Delta Wings arrival into realspace happened at the right place and at the right time. They arrived in Lanix V, Zelana Just as Wraith Fleet entered the system from Trenis, Herin. [/rp] I know that there is not a flux-field located in Lanix V, Zelana. 24. Got a few things to setup here before advancing the timeline to much FYI - Orion HQ is located in its original BC3K location; Jupiter/Io, Sol [rp] 2149, March 15, 3008 Antis, Trenis Mor-DÔÇÖr and Gammulan vanguard watch as last Wraith warship departed Antis via Herin Jump Point. They had just missed the fleeing Wraiths. Mor-DÔÇÖr gave the orders and the vanguard began to deploy towards the Herin jump point, which would take them an enormously large amount of time. For all the advancements over the centuries in various space technologies, improvements in the navigational system were seriously lacking. Fleet-wide hyperjumps were more dangerous than actual combat. Mor-DÔÇÖr pushed those thoughts out of his mind as he began to survey the Antis system. He noted everything and yet saw nothing. The charted debris field was where it was suppose to be, as was other known celestial bodies associated with the Antis system. Something was missing, something big was missing in Antis and it began to concern Mor-DÔÇÖr when he realized what that something actually was. He chided himself for not noticing it earlier. That something was an unstable variable that may just wreck he Gammulan offensive if its value were to change from null to true and as long as that something maintained its predicted null value, the Gammulan Empire had nothing to worry about. Mor-DÔÇÖr contemplated the possible fates(s) of this radical variable element as he watched the vanguardÔÇÖs progress towards the Herin jump point. He ordered the advance elements to launch several probes through the Herin jump point. He did not want any more surprises from the fleeing Wraiths. A different variable, one that Mor-DÔÇÖr failed to calculate or even consider, made its eerie presence known. For once the terran law of Murphy ruled in favor of the Gammulans. Reports were coming in from the Herin system, some from the probes and others with a more personal touch. These reports caused Mor-DÔÇÖr to reassess the current Gammulan stratagem. Based of on the reports from the commlinks and probes, Mor-DÔÇÖr decided to throw caution aside and pursue the fleeing Wraiths as aggressively as possible. The Gammulans had the remaining Wraiths trapped, trapped like a childe with his hand in the cookie jar. The vanguard began to move through the Herin jump point following its leader, Mor-DÔÇÖr. 2156, March 15, 3008 Antis, Trenis Spectre The man behind the mirrored glasses and leader of the Gammulan radical variable watched as his sanctuary was once again violated, this time by the Gammulans. Other reports were trickling in regarding the Orion Fleet build up and deployment to the Lyrius, Syrius system. His network was functioning well, the man behind the mirrored glasses thought as a rare smile cracked his stanch expression, all the hard work over the years was beginning to pay off. As he knew it would despite various voices within his organization crying otherwise. He broke his self-revelry and began to look at the bigger picture, a picture that encompassed the entire terran quadrant. Various scenarios played through his head, it was a mental exercise that the man behind the mirrored glasses played whenever he could ÔÇô which was often. He noted a pattern developing within the Gammulan battle tactics, it was a pattern that he did not like or care for one bit. The man behind the mirrored glasses settled on a course of action to break the Gammulan pattern generator once he defined their implications. ÔÇØRaven,ÔÇØ the man behind the mirrored glasses said into his commlink, ÔÇ£alert our forces in the Terran Quadrant. Tell them this is not a drill!ÔÇØ ÔÇ£Aye Sir!ÔÇØ Raven replied from elsewhere within Spectre. Inwardly Raven was furious. Something was going on that caused the man behind the mirrored glasses to ready their forces in the Terran Quadrant for battle and it was something that he had not predicted or planned for. 25. Taking some generalized liberties here. Attempting to get this show moving along. Gotta get this wrapped up soon without screwing the epic up completely [rp] 2131, March 15, 3008 Undetermined Location, Gammulan Quadrant ETA at LV-103 approx. 30 minutes, that was what the handler heard in his commlink, no hostile vessels detected along our flight path. Travel within and through the Gammulan Quadrant was much safer since the beginning of the Gammulan offensive. Especially with the elimination of the terran riff-raff that had previously wreck havoc with the Gammulan space transport system. Reports from the Offensives front were encouraging. The Mandorian and Kandorian incursions had been eliminated, and Wraith Fleet had been routed and were in retreat. Hari had successfully placed himself within easy reach of the target  he was only waiting for the opportunity to present itself. Unconfirmed rumors indicated that the Insurgent stronghold located in Antis was empty of any and all Insurgent forces. Events were proving that his and the Empires goal(s) were proceeding on schedule. There were minor unforeseen hiccups along the way that were eliminated as they arose. The Gammulan War Council member was quite pleased with himself and his current list of achievements. Just a few loose ends that required his personal attention on LV-103 and then he could relax his vigil some. The handler settled into a comfortable position on his rack and noted the time on the chronograph display in his quarters. Twenty-five minutes remained before his arrival in LV-103. Twenty-five minutes before he could begin to reap the fruits of his labor of the past several years. 2144, March 15, 3008 Earth, Sol Galactic Command Headquarters The incoming message from the Wraith Fleet Commander caused a scurry of activity within Galcom HQ. Some staffers were running around like a chicken with its heads chopped off yelling, the Gams are coming, the Gams are coming , whilst others had a look of disbelief and dread when they realized exactly what the Wraith message meant to them personally, Galcom, and to Terrans as a whole. Several veterans of the first Gammulan War took the message in stride and brought some semblance of order to the chaos created by the message. They treated it just like any other Chinese fire-drill exercise but also knew that this was not a drill. Battle plans were hastily pulled from their bit-bucket storage and reviewed. Many were relegated to the binary equivalent of a trash cut whilst others were set aside for further contemplation by the brass higher up the in Galcom food chain. lack of reaction time is what bothered the GW1 veterans the most. [ Why wasnt Galcom HQ notified of the current Gammulan Empire offensive earlier? Where were the almost one hundred warships of Wraith Fleets Delta Wing? What happened to the insurgent forces in their Antis stronghold? Can we stop the Gammulan advance?Galcom had twelve hours (if they were lucky) before the Gams showed up on the Terrans front door in Sol. They had to send a blocking force to give them time enough to muster enough forces to stop the Gammulan advance. The senior officer present made the decision and activated the Orion Fleet alert procedure. Orion Fleet would be Galcoms response to the Gammulan offensive. Location would be at Lyrius, Sirius. Far enough away from Sol but close enough for reinforcements and support  scant breathing room at that.. The senior officer then began to notify other Galcom Fleets. Prime Fleet would remain within Sol; ISS Fleet would backup Orion Fleet and watch the secondary entry points into the Sol system; and EARTHCOMs mission would remain the same  defend Terra Firma, a.k.a. Earth, at all costs. Galcom forces began to mobilize. The sleeping giant, though slow to respond had been stirred and began the slow process of waking up to the threat posed by the Gammulan Empire. None knew what the outcome would be, their only concern was immediate survival. 2149, March 15, 3008 Undetermined location, Terran Quadrant Several times over the past twelve hours the operative thought that its cover had been blown and that it would be discovered. As the adrenaline rush and anxiety attack, the operation settled down into its normal routine. The operative continued to due its duty as it intercepted the latest flurry of Galcom message traffic and forwarded them to somewhere in the Credian Quadrant. The Galactic situation was changing, changing faster than the operative or its handlers could control or predict. The next 24 hours would be critical to both the operatives health and the Galaxy itself.
