I think that it was probably a test, although by the time anything had been done about it, the plane would have either been taken, or destroyed, had it been the real thing. There was only one important fact in the woman's diatribe that, to me, was disturbing, that being the mention of Air Marshalls onboard the flight and unable to do anything about what was possibly going on at the time. Apparently every Air Marshall is handcuffed the same way the rest of the law enforcement community is, ie;"we can't do anything until a crime has been committed." That's called Civil rights and I don't give a rat's ass who or what you are, until you commit a crime in this country, you are free to go about your business without harrassment from anyone. People who write and publish stories like this one should be locked away for observation. The plainest truth is this; we all take a chance of being killed every time we walk out our portal and get on the highway to go to work. Why all the big to do over terrorists wanting to kill us? Because that is what a select few want. A big to do over it for their own purposes. It's the same load of road apples that put Hitler in the chancellor's chair. And we all know what happened next. If Bush and the rest of his fear mongering buddies continue on thheir current path, they are not only aiding and abetting the terrorists, they can be classified as terrorists themselves. Keep on buying into the administration's bullshit, then get in line for your tattoo or microchip. By then I will be deep in the woods laughing at all the suckers. -

There is always the option to drive to your destination. PUH! Whatsa Mesa saying??? Our highways are more dangerous than flying. That entire story was nothing but more paranoid fear mongering. It is, by design, used to brainwash the weakminded members of the populace. The ultimate goal is subjugation and if that little tall tale is freaking you out, you ain't seen nothing yet. -

Well boyo's that shows the definition of the word "Theory" I am most interested in hearing Mr Hawking's new information regarding an astral phenomena that we will most likely never have an opportunity to study up close and personal. Therefore this particilar theory will be a very long time in proving with scientific study. When you think of the gravitational forces exhibited in our own little solar system, the mind boggles and I, for one, get the true feeling that we are just infinetesimal specks in the cosmic space/time continuum. On that note, even though Mr Hawking is just another physical speck like the rest of us, he is larger than a galaxy if he can admit that he was wrong.

Thanks Jam The floppy drive is a bloody gimme. There was no choice to remove it. My current sys has a floppy drive but I disabled it long ago. Alienware probably buys them in ton bulk for a buck each. Not that I'm going to use it. LOL Floppy drives are ancient history to me but unfortunately there are peeps out there still living in the 20th century and Unkie Bill probably invested his first billion in floppies. Oh, I almost forgot, I used to use an Optivisor when I built cable test equipment. It might work for me and it might not as I have not only suffered a stroke, that diminished alot of left side body parts, but also have been diagnosed with Fuch's Dystrophy in both eyes. It's a genetic malady That prevents fluid from being pumped out of the Cornea. The fluid builds up in everyone while you sleep and gets pumped away after you wake up,except in me. Most days it looks like I'm walking through a swimming pool. I have found advice on the web for living with it. Like fanning the eyes with a Blowdryer set on low. Using medications for the eyes, which doesn't work. I have found the best treatment to be the drying effect of air conditioning. So I'm not doing too bad The only cure is a Corneal transplant and I'm not into using other people's body parts in my own, so that option is out. I cured my sight problem in regard to interfacing with my electron machine by purchasing a 19" LCD monitor this past weekend. I gotta say... I LOVE IT!!! It feels like I put a Drive-in movie screen on my desk. I digress, Everyone's input is much appreciated. Thanks again The shiney new GCV Kentucky is on it's way.

I use Spyware Nuker and it seems to work pretty good. I tried Cyberscrub, which doesn't work. After running the spyware/adware utility in Cyberscrub and Spyware Nuker right after, Nuker finds what Cybersponge missed.

Does your spy/whack-a-mole software detect infected registry keys? If not, the spyware comes back as soon as you reboot.

Many thanks for your input, one and all. Well, Masefield seems happy with his system and Bandus seems to have been slightly shafted. Bandus, Could you elaborate on their reasoning for a $600.00 deposit for a video card,I ask that only because there are very few cards out there that cost that kind of change. The link you provided, I take with a salt lick. It seemed to be only a bunch of purplefooted sour grape stompers who probably have trouble operating a toaster. Oh and lest I not forget. Mr Stoan, Very good advice and I would gladly have assembled a new system with the best parts I could find and not have troubled anyone for their thoughts about it except for one small problem; My eyes aren't as sharp as they used to be, making it very difficult for me to see tiny things in dark places. You should see me trying to take a pee on a very cloudy day, without first turning on the bathroom light. At any rate, how's this look? What's it like living in your neck of the world
Wolferz replied to LostInSpace's topic in General Chatter
Sounds like fun over there to the west, Joel. I have been to some of the outlying communities near Pittsburgh but haven't physically been in town, except for a quick landing to change planes in both airports. (the old one and then the new one). The little town of Drums is situated in the Wyoming Valley, not far from the intersection of I-80 and I-81. It is mostly farm land and forests. After growing up in the largest city in Kentucky, the quiet solitude of this place is a pleasure and a relief. A traffic jam here consists of four cars at most. Shopping is close and their are some very nice restaurants and diners nearby. The only real problem I have noticed in this area is a stranglehold on wages by a small group of people who dictate what every company will pay their hourly employees. I find this odd to the extreme and another point in my belief of the Secret Society Conspiracy theories. Our nation was birthed in the southeastern corner of this state, so it is only logical that it plays a pivotal role in our history and the plans of the conspirators. -
Interesting discussion. I am debating whether to get my two cents out and throw them in. Ah, why not? [backspace key held down a long time] All I'm going to say is this: Be in the world not of the world, Learn from the human experience we chose to come here for. The exciting part is that I may never get to meet you folks in person, but I will get to meet you all eventually.

Pentagon: Bush Military Records Destroyed
Wolferz replied to jamotto's topic in Politics, Religion & Legal etc
I have to wonder about those who wish to hide behind a shrubbery. The article could very well be true, who knows? The military is synonomous with the nomenclatures; FUBAR and SNAFU It just seems odd to me that stories like that seem to surface when it is most convenient for a Rankist's purposes. If you are in doubt as to the validity, then send a request to view those records yourselves and See what kind of response you get. Otherwise, put away your labelmaker and save it for labeling other things. Since I am neither liberal or conservative, it doesn't matter to me. The system is FUBAR from one end to the other and only boils down to two sides in competition with each other for the power of dominance over every citizen in this country. They get richer by making us poorer and I strongly feel that the so called honorable Mr Bush And his probable opponent are in on the fleecing of us all. My opinion on the service record of both candidates is that they are both highly suspect. -

The day has finally arrived for me to decide on my new model of spacecraft interface for the GCV Kentucky. I have narrowed it down Falcon or Alienware. Thoughts? Any other recomendations?

Galaga, Quarters, and annoying little kids
Wolferz replied to Freyar's topic in PC Gaming & Technology
LOL Ken, that's the exact reason I ceased visiting arcades and concentrated more on PC games. If friends and their family come for a visit, it's really easy to kick them out of my home. Just another example of what Jag and I vehemently gripe about.Parents who either can not or will not control their children. I am sorry to say that if I were you, I would have grabbed the kid by the scruff of his neck, drug him over to his father and chewed dad a new backside. There might have even been a rapid escalation to mudhole stomping with pop on the recieving end. If the kid was that bad in public "with" his parents, imagine his actions in school. We already know that the kid has been walking all over Mom and Dad at home. Now it's just a matter of time before his unfortunate school chums and teachers could be on the wrong end of a weapon. Disciplined children learn to resent undisciplined children and they will openly voice their opinion about it, socially alienating their peer. Maybe you should have pimp slapped his father before you left. -
And Kerry is better or different than Bush how?
Wolferz replied to LostInSpace's topic in Politics, Religion & Legal etc
Street, you are absolutely correct my friend. The real criminals and the real patriots are going to be forced to show their true colors soon. Another example of a loss of freedom, maybe the first one actually practiced by authorities: You are pulled over by a police officer while driving. Every police officer will begin a line questioning. "On the street interrogation" a'la Gestapo. May I see your license and registration? (papers) Where are you going? Where are you coming from? Do you have any drugs, weapons or other contraband in your car? Do you mind if I take a look? Now, don't misunderestimate me on this, I do not condone people hauling contraband around in their cars. But, if that officer finds anything he deems suspicious, you are going to jail, and can be held in jail until it is determined that your cargo isn't contraband. This can take a significant amount of time. In some cases up to six months. In the mean time, your incarceration is going to freak out alot of people. Your family, your friends, and most of all, your employer. You make your one phone call to your Scheister, who is sitting at his mahogany desk, in his high backed leather chair, rubbing his hands together briskly and thinking "Alright! another cop just afforded me another payment on my (insert any make of high priced luxury car here)". Things like this have the word Scam written all over them. The only freedoms in the good 'ol US of A are the freedoms the lawyers, turned lawmakers have to create new ways to squeeze more fiat money out of the system. They win and we lose. Politicians don't win elections anymore. They are placed in office by big money and the criminals who have it. So, let us continue to debate who is the better candidate while someone other than the sheople decides who will sit in that office. It keeps us distracted from what is really going on. quote: "How fortunate for government that the people do not think for themselves."Adolph Hitler"
