  1. Kal, Please step down from your anti-Kerry/Liberal/"insert label here" soapbox long enough to look around and see with your own eyes what is going on. Personally, I didn't vote for a single one of the criminals who now hold office, but I did vote. So I can gripe all I wish to. When it's all boiled down it's all about the Benjamins. Plain and simple, eh?
  2. Another example of a small group of people who wish to force their will upon other people for the sole purpose of making a buck. I am with Remo on this. My employer has no business dictating what I can and can't do with my Homo Sapien robot. I too have respect for all the other HS Robots and I always ask if they have a problem with me using tobacco in their general vicinity. If they do I will transport to a more secluded area. So what's next? "You have been tested and shown to have been breathing greenhouse gasses which are detrimental to your health and will drive up our healthcare costs. Therefore we regret to inform you that you are dismissed from employment with this firm." On a side note, your test also shows that you have been imbibing copious amounts of McDonalds Fries, which are also unhealthy and we urge you to cease this manner of food intake along with quitting the tobacco and all other unhealthy habits as listed in the employee manual. Oh Big Brother! Corporate America has way too much power already, in that your rights are left in the parking lot as soon as you step through the door and you either comply or quit. Mark my words kids... "YOU AIN"T SEEN NUTHIN YET! The days of Martyrdom are closer than you think. Total Apocalypse is next. All in the name of money.
  3. Maybe the next step is going to be... " You go to your favorite gaming outlet to buy a game. The clerk pulls out a copy of the EULA and you are required to sign it before completing the transaction. The clerk sends the document to home office or forwards it to the game publisher." Then and only then will any EULA become a binding document.
  4. LMAO... The White House seems to be a little lax on it's security protocols. Can we trust the rest of the bureaucratic departments, recently created by the way, with national security????
  5. Yes, Vol 2 is on DVD. I have them both. I didn't consider 2 as good as the first but it was good nonetheless.
  6. That's funny Especially when one considers that the Japanese are really fond of communal bathing.
  7. quote: Originally posted by JerkFace: What's the difference between "Federal" and "National" in the context of security? Federal refers to a central governing body, ie: Federal Government. The context of my statement refers to the Federal Government's security... from Joe Citizen (aka USA Patriot Act), which they guard with the utmost care. The Patriot Act hasn't rooted out any terrorists that I have heard about. Let's ask Jaguar. We have already seen how well they guard the security of Joe Citizen. It is my estimation that the Patriot Act was literally crow-barred into law, for the sole purpose of protecting the real terrorists and to push forward.their agenda of totalitarian control. Can you say "Big Brother"? I knew you could.
  8. Not enough room in this solar system for two blue planets, Saturn has to go. "Pembroke to Bomb, come in Bomb."
  9. The Patriot Act raises it's ugly little head and snarls at this citizen of America..... January 29,2005 Dear Commander H. T. Wolferz, Commercial Drivers License Number: xxxxxxxx License Expire Date: 07/04/2005 Federal regulations issued by the Gestapo... err U. S. Department of Homeland Security, Transportation Security Administration(TSA) in support of the Federal USA PATRIOT Act will soon change the application process for each Commercial Drivers License (CDL) holder who is renewing a hazardous materials endorsement. The new Federal requirements take effect on May 31,2005 , and will require all CDL holders who are renewing their CDL with hazardous materials endorsement to provide proof of U. S. citizenship or proof of appropriate immigration status, have their fingerprints taken, pay additional Federal fees and successfully complete a Federal criminal history background check. Requirements 5/31/2005 and after [*]Pass the hazmat recertification knowledge test [*]Appear at a Driver License Center and provide proof of U.S. citizenship or proof of appropriate immigration status [*]Complete a Federal Security Threat Assessment application (DL 288) [*]Pay Federal fees totaling $58.00 check made payable to PennDOT includes TSA Security Threat Assessment application fee of $34 and $24 FBI fingerprint check fee) [*]Appear at a Pennsylvania State Police location to be fingerprinted for the Federal Security Threat Assessment. [*]PennDOT must recieve clearance from the Federal Department of Homeland Security, Transportation Security Administration for you to retain your hazardous materials endorsement. [*]Submit a renewal application. [*]Pay the Pennsylvania renewal fee. Now, I'm sure these new regulations were imposed with the best intentions but, I'm having serious doubts as to the myriad of possible outcomes. Notice that it says Federal Security, not NATIONAL security. This adds to my belief that there is definitely something seriously wrong with our government. Logic dictates that there are paranoid individuals within our government who are following a well planned agenda to consolidate their power over Joe Citizen and secure their position as the new elite owners of planet Earth. They don't have to change the CONSTITUTION to do this. They are doing it through regulations written into existing laws. Regulations that the President can change at will, without even a glimmer of Congressional Oversight ( also known as turn a blind eye and put the money in my pocket) The Neocons have tipped the scales of the Checks and Balance System in their favor and we will all be the losers for it. I bet TJ is spinning in his grave.
  10. The world is full of strange individuals and they're getting stranger every day. Maybe a lesbian lovers quarrel this time?
  11. ok, last piece of advice on this one Tac.... Buy American I don't suggest this to be snide. Speaking from the voice of experience... Japanese cars are nice vehicles. They are engineered and assembled with the utmost care and precision. They make money by being meticulously efficient in the manufacturing process. They make even more money on the backside of the dealer by charging rediculous prices on maintenance and replacement parts. My brother found that out the hard way, even after I had warned him not to buy a Toyota. Call the dealer and ask the parts department how much factory oil, air, and fuel filters cost. then multiply that by the number of oil changes in a years time. oh, btw, if you do buy one, you will need spot on maintenance records to keep the warranty intact. Nothing like having your engine spin out all of the main bearings near the end of the warranty and you get a repair bill for around five grand because you missed an oil change.
  12. Call Toyota and lodge a complaint. I bet the manufacturer can/will straighten it out. The problem leaves me with questions... 1. Did they seek a dealer trade for the model you wanted? if not... 2. Why did they take a production order for a backordered model or so close to the end of the production year? It sounds to me like an old bait and switch tactic, looking to squeeze a few more pesos out of the deal. Again, contact Toyota and voice your extreme displeasure. "Car Dealerships... The only place on earth where you can get rear-ended before you pull off the lot."
  13. Or at least she won't be loading anymore snowballs with rocks.
  14. Let's send them a few snaps of an Osama doll wallowing in a pig sty with a huge grin on his little plastic face or some freed Iraqis smacking it with a shoe.
  15. There would be a great wailing and gnashing of teeth.....from Kofi Annan.
  16. Science but, I think that normal people are the real geeks.
  17. LOL Mickey D's will have to put warning labels on the wrappers.... "THIS FOOD CAN CAUSE OBESITY" "PLEASE EAT RESPONSIBLY" "Want Liposuction with those fries?"

Regardless, they appear to in the game because they disappear after a while. Maybe someone else snatched them up. Cargo pods can be picked up by transports, some are booby trapped and will explode. Not a good thing for a shuttle. Instead of using marines to pilot a shuttle, I usually toss the pilots with the lowest AI in them and the missions are completed without much problem and it's good training for the pilots. Bumps thier AI up pretty quick.
  19. There are certain items that are considered hazardous and some extremely hazardous when stored together with others. The SC was quite devious in this application of stored materials and what they will do to your ship. So now you know that you have dangers other than cloaked Gammulans to worry about and it's not a bug. Sorry I told on you SC
  20. Doc, Those little milk cows for ants are called Aphids, aka Plant Lice. The ants don't really herd them like cattle but they do carry the little fellows to fresher pastures when needed. it is very interesting to stop and take a closer look at what goes on under our feet and it has always forced me to ponder Darwin's Theory. Which even today, with our technological wonders and scientific gains, is still an unproven theory.
  21. Wassup Grayfox? I don't recall the exact series of events that produced Dr Doom, but for the sake of screenplay there must be liberties taken with storylines all the time. In this case, imo, bringing the storyline up to the first meeting of the F-4 with Dr Doom might require several more movies to tie it all together. What better way to create the antagonism between the main characters than what is being presented? Graphic Novels that are printed as ongoing monthlies are not ideal screenplays per se'. To have enough content within the cover, they would be as thick as a telephone book. Not that I would mind, but..... loud THUMP. in the night There goes the magazine rack by the throne again. I will be at the theater for the first showing no matter what. I will save the critique for afterward.
  22. I'm seeing shades of Shirley on that site lol If they really want to hit EA where it hurts, just stop buying thier games.

Note to self: "Maintain eye contact and watch her hands" FEET DON'T FAIL ME NOW!
  24. Hmm, "An eye for an eye" accomplishes only one thing, it makes us all blind.
  25. A small correction if I may, When you sign on the dotted line for Uncle Sam, it's an eight year commitment, (2-4 active duty and 4 in ready reserves)
