Ever since I started dropping quarters into those arcade boxes with a twinkle in my eye. My head has been in space ever since I first discovered what was beyond the cloudy blue atmosphere of our home world. It became a place I could only dream of visiting with the sophisticated machines required to do so. Derek brought that dream to life when he sat down and began compiling the code for BC3K. He created a new universe to explore in lieu of what is needed to explore the one we live in. To compare the BC series to any other game would be a travesty. BC is a genre unto itself. Like the reviewer said, it's not a mindless twitch and click game. Nor is it linear, boxed, or confined to someone elses imaginatory story line. In one word it is INFINITE OK, I should stop now so Derek can still get his head through his domicilliary portals

The main questions on my mind regarding the new Iraqi government are these.. How much more money do we the Citizens of the United States have to give, to get Iraq, and who knows how many other poor countries on their feet? How long will it be before we get stabbed in the back, again!,and have to do it all over? How much money will the elitist snobs in DC make off of this military foray and how much of it will actually be reported as income? Oh, wait, not a problem there,they cut the taxes on that. Whether you want to admit it or not, the Republicans, especially Bush, are laughing all the way to the bank, to deposit the money they are stealing from the treasury.

I don't see where linking two PCI graphics cards is going to boost video performance to any significant degree. You will still have the bottleneck at the CPU and the MOBOs bus speed. When 3DFx was selling their so called SLI magic bullet, I gave it a try. I really didn't notice any Supercallafragilisticexpyalladocious benefit in using the thing. So what is Nvidia's intent here? Elimination of the main bottleneck in every PC on the planet in regard to graphics processing? I think they just want to sell more chip sets and increase board sales for their vendors. I think I'll send them a couple of questions::: 1. What are you guys smoking? 2. Would you mind sharing some of it?

I think that opinion is pretty spot on, SC. Hence my reasoning for not trusting game reviews. And one of the main reasons that I don't like console gaming. If the game is stamped and shipped incomplete and full of bugs, the buyer has no way of obtaining what was paid for, instead being left holding the bag and the flashlight, waiting for the snipes to appear. A console game can't be patched and sending out millions of patched discs to disappointed gamers is not monetarily feasible for any publisher. So, we have a catch 22 here for developers and publishers. IE: If a game gets bad reviews, it won't sell. If a game has blatant bugs in it and doesn't work as intended, hardcore console gamers are going to find out about it and steer clear of making a purchase. If a developer/publisher is betting the farm on one game, they are going to do whatever they can to sell it, even if it means bribing a few reviewers and screwing the unsuspecting consumer. I have seen this underhanded (sell and forget) tactic used too many times with PC games. Why would console games be any different? I wish you great success with your first foray into console gaming, SC. Your success will be riding on the backs of whomever is testing the game, and if the publisher keeps everything above board. Considering recent events, do you think Dreamcatcher will?

The current trend in PC scalability and performance is going to result in a new type of system (chained PCs) that will require a 220 volt ac power connection. Like your dryer. :LOL Right now, Nvidia might be a little concerned about their future since a new type of 3D CRT has been developed, one that produces a 3D picture without the need for a clunky pair of glasses or a GPU. I foresee alot of epileptic seizures in the very near future.

I would recommend getting a Cable/DSL Router. LinkSYS makes a very good one that almost sets itself up. Radio Shack sells them for around $40.00. It will serve as a hardware firewall for everything on your LAN and double as a DHCP addresser.

Race, please add a complete listing of your system specs and I'll try ro assist you. I used to be a telephone Tech support guy for Verizon and I'm sad to say they suck! At present, if you are calling verizon DSL tech support, you are most likely going to get a person who barely passed the simplified computer knowledge exam, given by the 3rd party contractor that Verizon uses.And this person will be half trained and clueless. During my time performing the job I was literally dumbfounded by the blatant lack of knowledge amongst my peers. At the end I had to quit to preserve my sanity. I was not only taking calls from PC clueless customers and fixing their problems, but was also assisting other tech reps with their calls. /ramble mode off. Now, a complete Spec Sheet on your equipment would help me help you. Oh and first things first.. Get AOhelL off your PC. Verizon is using the PPOE authentication method, AOL's garbage tends to muscle it out.

Prevention of Government business competition with it's citizens. Barring Automatic citizenship to children born of illegal immigrants. Repeal of the Selective Service act. Which was judged unfavorable by a committee. Go figure. And a whole lot more. Notice particularly what Rep Ron Paul of Texas has been doing.

At the present time, China is gathering as much steel as they can get their hands on, which is causing some shortages here in the USA. The company where my lady works produces steel reinforcement products for construction and they have suffered a crippling shortage of steel needed to make their product. A shortage severe enough to cause them to turn away new customers. I am certain that China with it's huge population would have enough intelligent people to create alternative energy technologies. The United States "already has" new technologies for this purpose, but alas we will not be seeing them soon. The New World Order is not going to allow that to happen because they are making billions in profits from fossil fuels today, and the economic gains that can be made by depleting the oil supply first, and then rolling out the new technologies is mind boggling. This would put the United States at the forefront of global energy, effectively putting a stranglehold on the rest of the world. Every nation on the planet will be at our beck' and call. Can you say "GROVEL"? or "Federal Empire"? As Jaguar is so fond of saying, " History repeats itself" and Rome is poised to rise from the ashes.

I viewed the trailer and it seemed more like a good anime cartoon, rather than live actors. The original Thunderbirds TV series, as I recall, was done with puppets, which wasn't something new at all. I'm sure my fellow old timers here will recall another TV series called Fireball XL-5, which also used alot of strings and pyrotechnical toys. Since I am a fanatical fan of any and all types of science fiction,Thunderbirds the Movie looks interesting. How about 5 sequels to Spaceballs? "Please stop hitting me with your schwartz"

I am puzzled by that picture posted above. In the original Episode I; Old Anakin was shown next to Yoda and Obi Wan after his death. There are Swiss Cheese holes in the plot, all through the series, that need to be filled and I see no way to fill them without a complete re-write and start over.
