GCV Andromeda 02:00 Cyron VI James sat staring at his Tacops disply observing the Gammulan fighters as they continued to scan the planet for any sign of them, the fighters had split into three distinctive groups but had never strayed far from the other groups, following the three groups on screen he watched as they completed their first search pattern and started on course for their second. Holding his breath for a few seconds he breath a little easier when he realised their new course would actually take them further away from the Andromeda. Looking around the bridge he could see the tension on his bridge crew. "Allright, relax a little everybody they're moving away," James could almost hear the sigh of relief on the bridge,"But keep those fighters on alert just in case we need then!" James rose from his chair and exited the bridge to his office just off the bridge, he walked over to the window and looked out. Outside he could see the wall of the canyon stretching up clearing the top of the great ship, as he watched marine scout teams started to make their way up the rock face, some climbing some using jump packs, to get a better view of the surrounding area. Walking over to his desk he activated his display and pulled up the damage report, repairs were going well but without the parts for the coolant system and the Hyperdrive they were not going to be going anywhere in a hurry. James sighed and flicked off the display, returning to the window he looked out and started to wonder...........Were they lost or was help on the way?

The only thing I would really have liked to have seen would have been a star wars/elite/privateer style game. With the same freedom/options as say frontier or privateer 2 if they got the feel of the universe right they could have sold millions but I think there trying something like it with Starwars Galaxies but more devoloped and including roleplaying.(sorry the RPG is the main aspect the space travel and ships, etc is a expansion pack) SWG may be the only other online game I play (depending on how it turns out) after BCM multiplayer. I have never played a MMORPG before so it should be interesting to see.

Can’t remember the last time I awaited for something with such an optimistic and excited attitude before, ... I guess that’s what marriage does to you, after 6 years...! I have good news ooJAYoo and others like you (and me) awaiting in Europe I got a mail from BMTmicro to say shipping should be complete by monday next so not much longer left.(although I am fighting hard to not go buy a plane ticket and buy one from EB) LOL Lets see ┬ú300 for the ticket return $50 for BCM and probably about another $100 for place to stay and food while there, total price about $600 yep still a resonable price to pay adn well worth it(only problem is I don't have a passport) [ 11-22-2001: Message edited by: Emmett.hendrick ]

Open letter of thanks to the BC fans....
Emmett.hendrick replied to Supreme Cmdr's topic in Forum Community
Not being here as long as some of the others SC all I can say is YOUR THE BEST I had a choice this month to buy one game, as money is tight but the choice did not have to be made it was pre decided. You rock and your games rock and the amount of support you give the fan base puts you head, shoulders and the rest of your body over other devolopers/publishers. I am honoured I could assist in BCM's devolopment as part of the Beta team and hope I can help again in the future in some way. Happy thanksgiving! -
What have you been upto while waiting for BCM?
Emmett.hendrick replied to Pyros's topic in General Chatter
well no such luck holidays wise over here so since I work on a helpdesk I have been taking my frustrations on the sad B******* that call the desk -

(Beta testers only) should't be much longer though. What do I count as I fall into both categories? (no response from BMT yet and I'm about to pull my arms off in frustration)

Hummm car stories...... I used to drive a Ford Escort, nice car, drove well, put in a fairly good stereo, cd player and stuff, used to use it when working as a field engineer to get around put 70K miles on it in a year(quite an achievement over here I tell you) Driving to a client one day crawling through a little town and guy in front of me brakes suddenly, I brake, I skid, I hit him. Ok got that sorted about two months latter heading back to the house from the shops and a child runs out in front of me(luckily I was going slowly I never was one of those mad drivers), kid was ok and about 6 witnesses said there was no way that I could have avaoided the kid. But after that I could not drive, not good as a field engineer, I had to take time off work and everything. This is now 4 years latter and I still hate driving a car, I bought a motorbike a little while ago and I loved it, but I had to sell it due to financial difficulties, now I drive to work because I have no other choice but I so wish I could get my bike back.

Has anybody who ordered on BMTMicro got confirmation of shipping yet? I'm dying here is it to late to upgrade to air mail? I can't wait. Going to send mail to BMT to request air mail back soon

quote:Originally posted by Supreme Cmdr: OK you lazy bastards. The first person to give me info on the dance tracks played in the movie nightclub (see above) and which are not on the soundtrack CD, gets a free copy of BCM. So far, everyone I've asked, doesn't have a clue. It seems as if the music played at the disco are not on the soundtrack. That in itself I consider to be a rip off. I agree with you SC it is a rip off and it happens ALOT they tend to miss the best/most popular songs when they do soundtrack CDs however having not seen the film i can not advise on where you can get a copy(and I'd really love that copy of BCM)

I got a DVD on my pc almost 2 years ago now(PIII 600mhz) had an OEM voodoo 3 3000 card (no tv out) but when we first got it we used to get the 19" monitor and stick on a table in the center of the room place my 4 satellite speakers( I have the FPS 1000 speaker system) and sat down and used to watch DVD's on the monitor before we bought a TV/DVD and now it only gets used because I have DVD version of Baldurs Gate. So at the moment a TV/DVD is a better buy as games don't really use DVD's (YET) but they will eventually

Ah yes the Xcom series I have em all (except XCOM interceptor that sucked) still go back to em, especially apocolypse(sp?) I completed UFO on most levels but terror from the deep and apoc still kick my ass. As for MO-slow it works I used it for Privateer 2 the Darkening and it does work takes a couple of tries to get it working right though but now I just use program priorities in Win2k

Report from the Bureau of Statistics Between November 2001 and January 2002, the divorce rate took a sudden and mysterious turn from 49% to 59%. Interviews with a sample population of divorcees yielded only one two-worded response: "Battlecruiser Millennium". In conclusion, the sudden increase in the divorce rate was the result of a belated science fiction themed New Year's Eve party. LOL I think my wife is going to kill me soon after I get BCM she already complains I spend to much time on the computer (BC3K off course) so she's going to go through the roof when BCM arrives.(Although she is pregnant so I could claim she's getting emotional because of that) I must show her this thread, show her she's not alone. Maybee she can start a "BCM deserted wifes/partners" website. [ 11-15-2001: Message edited by: Emmett.hendrick ]

GCV Andromeda 01:25 Cyron VI Alarms sounded through out the decks of the Andromeda as James raced back to the bridge. Emerging onto the bridge he found a bustle of activity, bridge crew attending their stations try to work around the engineering crews carrying out repairs on various systems. "REPORT!" he barked "Probe reports a squadron of Gammulan fighters emerged from jump anomoly a couple of minutes ago they are heading for the planet SIR" "Status!" "We have partial main power, three PTA turrets operational, flight crews are replacing the lost IC from the one we keep in cargo now sir, estimated time to ready 10 minutes, remaining IC's are primed and redy to launch now" James hurried to his chair and pulled up the Tacops dislay finding and displaying the fighter squad his heart sank, 15 light/medium fighters approaching the planet at crusing speed they greatly out gunned the Andromeda. however judging by their course and speed they were still unsure of their location hopefully that would by them some time. As he watched the fighters started planetfall and started to seperate. It looked like they were entering standard search patterns, as he watch the squadron split into three distinctive groups each heading for seperate points on the planet. James flicked of his Tacops display,"Keep the IC's on alert but don't lauch yet, tell the marines to be ready for aerial attack and activate weapons and PTA systems I want to be ready if they do find us. And see if that remaining IC can be readied any quicker" Bridge crew responding to his commands quickly and effeciently weapons systems activated, shields raised and IC's were moved to launch positions, the coms officer was relaying his commands to the Marines encamped outside the andromeda. James sat back and waited wondering if there signal had got through to anybody or if they were on their own?

Problem with targeting and views
Emmett.hendrick replied to Outlander's topic in Battlecruiser 3000AD (Legacy)
I've seen the same problem with a thrustmaster FCS (recalibrating worked for me but may not for bc3K) if it happens in other games the contacts on the stick may need a clean. -
I just expierenced this prob myself while checking new posts etc noly about 3/4 of the thread was display and a refresh did not sort it out.

GMV Darkstar 01:20 Cyron VI(cloaked) Rising from his desk as he finished his drink he replaced the glass and returned to the bridge. "Report!" "No activity in the local system sir, however one of our probes picked up a sensor ghost in a local system." "I doubt the Galcom craft would still be able to cloak with the amount of damage she has taken, but perhaps she is scheduled to rendevous with another ship and thats what we are picking up. Keep the probe in that system and continue monitoring." The Gamulan commander smiled a evil smirk and sat down in his chair. "Sir ships emerging from the jump anomoly!" "RED ALERT!" As he watched his tacops display a squadron of fighters emerged from the jump point leading deeper into Gamulan space, immediatly taking up formation they started to head for the next jump point. On the bridge he recognised the markings on the fighters and opened a com line. "Attend commander Gamulan fighters this is the GMV Darkstar requesting ID" The fighter squadron replied effeciently and quickly,"GMV Darkstar this is fighter group Gamma02 we have been ordered to assist you in your search for the Galcom vessel, please provide locational co-ordianates." This angered him he did not need help to destroy the intruders he could handle them himself but he understood commands reasoning. "Gamma02 this is Darkstar, we do not wish to reveal our location please proceed to the planet and try pickup location of enemy carrier, I am pretty sure she is still in this system. Darkstar OUT" He did not allow the pilot reply, counting the numbers as the fighters moved towards the planet he counted 15 fighters mix of heavy and light fighters, so impressive firepower, command did not want this intrusion to go unpunished........

Show my Nerdiness here but for anyone who's ever played Warhammer 40,000 they have a mech which is basicaly twice the size of standard troups which carries some devastating firepower and can really turn the tide of combat. even for a vastly outnumbered army(mine usually!) Maybe something like that would make a bit more sense.

Enterprise: The Night of Judgement...
Emmett.hendrick replied to Korono Lakeela's topic in General Chatter
The character in ST6 that defended Kirk and Mccoy (played by michael Dorn(Whorf)) is supposed to be one of Whorf's ancestors as far as I know. Wharf's grandfather I think not quite sure though -
