  1. quote:Originally posted by Commander Elio Jason: i'll say it has potential but ym eyes are on this looking at one of the wallpapers, i imagine one of the guys must be mighty strong to be able to hold a M60 in 1 hand only by the handgrip, considering the lenght (42in) and the weight (20lb) of the weapon
  2. A very long but good read. 3 pages. clicky Quoting a part on the 3rd page quote: In a recent letter home, a reservist with the 124th Infantry Regiment of the Florida National Guard told friends and family that violent days had become strangely ordinary. In the past week he and his buddies had faced RPG and mortar attacks, "even a car bomb in the area." But that was unexceptional: "It has been just another set of days going by. Most of us don't know what day it is anymore, the concept of a 'workweek' and a 'weekend' are as foreign to us as the Moon." The soldier then proudly told how his unit had uncovered "a large weapons cache" in the town of Ar Ramadi, adding parenthetically "(still no WMD, sorry)." Irony turned to cynicism: "On the subject of WMD, we once did a raid on a place where we heard they may have been storing 'mustard gas,' [and] being the patriots that we are and always out to prove our Commander in Chief's allegations, we geared up in our chemical suits and stormed the place. It turned out to be a restaurant ... but they did have mustard, and some guy there had gas."
  3. This is interesting ...
  4. being politically correct is like washing hands before a handshake, because you might give them germs ..
  5. that'll teach microsoft to give a chance to the little people - see what happens next
  6. gabe is really talented .. and getting famous too .. if he can be more famous than he already is.
  7. 1 - not sure 2 - i can't answer that one. 3 - some buildings have a purpose, but beside the starbase there's nothing to interact with. 4 - nope 5 - nope 6 - modding? not really. at least AFAIK 7 - If it's like in bcm, you can add missions, add ships and other models, change stats, but you cannot change the universe.
  8. a fair solution until this issue is resolved ..
  9. quote:Originally posted by IceCold: You can do the same thing by reading the e-mail source and looking up the sending server. AOL is just making things "easier" to use. not so easy. alot of SMTP servers allow you to send email even if you don't come from there.
  10. i was told once (no source or anything ) that during the cold war the military developped anti-missile rail guns satellites concepts.
  11. What the hell? WTF is funny in this? Man you're weird.
  12. why don't we just devellop an ion cannon like in single every RTS games with modern or future USA (or derivative, AKA GDI) as a faction?
  13. ...because those people wouldn't have made it Sheesh.
  14. never was much into warcraft or medieval mmorpg, but what the heck... ..signed up
  15. it's a little difficult to make a game easy to play without dumbing it down. Steep learning curves are the side-effects of having lots of features and details. Put a little more faith in yourself and you will learn how to play soon
  16. quote:Originally posted by DeepFreeze: I don't understand why you guys think BCMG is so hard. Granted, the game doesnt hold your hand through everything in the beginning, but the premise is fairly simple. Get some money, go around, and blast shit. (Though I must admit trying to figure out tacops was quite an adventure). personally I've never found a game hard to play. Hard to master? maybe, but even wwiiol is relatively easy, you just gotta read the keymapping 3-4 times.
  17. I've been trying WWIIOL lately (although i don't like it) - it's very hard to start. X2-the threat has a tough learning curve - the average gamer will be lost and broke for quite a while.
  18. yeah back in school the teachers always reminded us of how much that thing costs everytime someone touched it.
  19. the game is unimpressive, predictable. Weapons sound a little too weak, and you hear far people shout 10x easier than you hear them firing automatic weapons. There's some humor in the voice acting, i must admit "Come on my grandfather can trash talk better than that"
  20. i dunno jag, considering the amount of stuff written "made in china" around the household i say that cutting china economically would cause some major inflation over here Mattel would go out of business
  21. quote:Originally posted by Drax: quote:Originally posted by Epsilon 5: i cannot confirm, but i did hear sometihng about a iraqi/usa wargame simulation using probable iraqi armament, and in the end it resulted in the "iraqi generals" to sink the US carrier with scud missiles. Then the rules were changed so the iraqi must destroy all the escorts before touching the carrier This happened a while back, maybe two years ago. It was a joint training exercise with UK and US forces simulating a war with Iraq. The UK forces were representing the Iraqis. Basically 2 hours into the start of the exercise some Royal Marines came along side the carrier, (Enterprise?), and shouted Boom! The idea being that the boat was packed with enough explosives to sink the carrier. Because the carrier had most of the US force aboard, the action effectively ended the exercise. The US commander, however, got stroppy and insisted that the exercise be restarted, with the conditions Epsilon 5 mentioned. Talk about sore losers. ROFL the UK dudes in the boat must have been laughing their asses off
  22. I wish there was an easier AI setting, I'M getting spanked by AI as bad as players. I remember reading on another forum that today's best ww2 game players are most likely better pilots than actual ww2 pilots, because in ww2 no one ever had combat training, and that some of today,s best gamers have over 10 years in flight experience, even though virtual. Today's game pilots know exactly what each plane can do and cannot do. Some gamers are good enough to be able to use convergence and hit a wing everytime. An ace gamer can take over 5 normal players at once
  23. scrivener AND derek giving a 10-10? wow it must be good
  24. well i chose to play different and be the first to roleplay an Empirian (with green eyes!). Sadly, I preferred the grey-skinned empirian look from bc3k than the blue duck-faced gorillas we have now *sigh* I took the only empirian picture available, removed the beads, and put on a Galcom commander uniform, since I am part of Galactic Command - not the Empirian Starforce.

The game is quite dark, but not dark enough to not be able to see (at least not for me). Here, let me show you. Argon collossus in Argon prime Light side Dark side by the way, bump mapping makes such a huge difference, i don't know why i turned them off Without With
