Well, I just whipped out my copy of Civilazation 2... and it has me hooked all over again. I have a nice big Roman Empire and the Americans didn't seem to like me too much so they decided to start something with me..... Now they only have 3 cities left with my empire that much stronger. They were pratically begging me for peace after I assimilated over half their cities.

For number 2: I *think* (I haven't done it for a long time so I'm not 100% sure) a good trade route is buying missiles at GALCOM and selling them at the station around Pluto. If I remember correctly, this has gotten me loads of money, enough for ship upgrades and Orbit to Surface Nukes! Also for number 1: If there is no extra cargo in the shuttle after collecting cargo pods, perhaps the cargo pods are empty? You can see what items are in a cargo pod before collecting it by pushing the "L" key to cycle through the video window modes until you get to the "Cargo Manifest" mode. Keep moving, don't stop or enemy fighters will shread you up. The afterburner/retrorockets help greatly. Also your ship DOES have a cloaking device.... (hint, hint) .

I tried the demo of Conquest: Frontier Wars and I myself was not impressed. Anyways, I'm looking forewards to Indpendance War 2, Morrowind, and perhaps Metal of Honor: Allied Assult (from what I've seen of it, it makes Day of Defeat look pitiful)

IMO, you should try both Privateer, and Privateer 2.

I was just exaggerating a little bit but really, You can see a whole lot further in BCM than you can in Tribes 2 or almost any other first person shooter.

One thing I like about the demo is that on planets, I can see for miles and miles unlike Tribes 2. On some Tribes 2 maps, I can barely see past the gun that is infront of my face due to some strangely dense fog. [ 06-23-2001: Message edited by: LordDavid ]

I got it and it is no BCM, but it is no Wing Cmdr either. It is a game in itself. The graphics are Great, especially the ship models, and it runs smooth on a GF3 . Sounds OK to me if you get a Geforce2 or higher video card, and an extra 128 megs of ram would help too...and then you could get.........

Just finished watching it. IMO it was a wee bit cheesy. The borg queen watches a large screen TV ? Interesting..... I liked the series finalies for The Next Generation and Deep Space 9 a little bit more. During the show, there was an advertisement for the next Star Trek seriese titled "Enterprise" with takes place before TOS when warp technology was new. Hopefully it will be better than Voyager.
