Just blowing in the wind.

The trouble is when you know the scripts by heart you never let them play out so I cant tell you if the events don't play out as intended it sertainly used to work. I am always waiting in Arima by the gate to Xylan with a shuttle deployed at the start of this mission. Just tow the ECV-STARBALL to safety with the shuttle once the STARBALL arrives. Then fly your CC on to xxxxx, nope not telling you'll have to work that one out for yourself

The worst of it is that the CPU change that I was doing didn't work. I was changing a PII 350Mhz with heatsink and noisy fan for a PII 350 with large heatsink and no fan on my web and database server, the fan failed alarm goes off all the time as soon as W2k get to the logon even though its disabled in bios?? (I know the database has been down since November and the web queries from my web pages don't work I will fix it sometime.) Had the cdrom on the desk face up so it wouldn't get scratched but the corner of the PC hit and damaged it. Going through cold turkey now can hardly type.

Still around Just waiting for another copy of BCM to arrive, I dropped a computer on my last copy

Wasn't it a TV mini series? Or is it a remake? Caught part of an episode when it was shown and was hooked even thought it was in German with English subtitles, when it was repeated watched it again. Like most countries here in the UK we are taught a slanted view of history. This film / series shows the men in the German armed forces as "real" men doing the job they had been trained for. Might just go and look for this one.

November Balor Fleet Roll Call (belated)
Pugwash replied to Charles Lindsey's topic in Insurgent Fleets
Wondered what kept you Maybe we ought to report in for December as well. -
If you want some printer friendly pages (well fairly friendly) on which you can sort the data before you print it try these web page Just be careful when you enter the search criteria, its all to easy to restrict the search so that no data is returned. On the Trading item page the price cargo displacement ratio is especially useful when you have more money than cargo space got to optimise those trade runs. Edit: URL updated. Bull and china shop spring to mind I could see away of getting what I wanted but failed to see the easy way. So it would appear I'll be able to get the data require with out all that effort thanks SC

I'm after some help collecting data for this web page I'm short of time for the next few weeks as I'm covering for an absent colleague (gits got a sick note for 3 weeks ) I work 12hr shifts and with travel time that's nearer 14 hours gone out of the day, I'm also working tonight in a couple of hours but Sundays only a 8hr shift, Wednesdays are University with 8 to 10 hour homework to do so I don't have much time for anything else. What I need is some volunteers to install each combination of upgrade then run the game for 1 hour and calculate the fuel usage for each of the upgrade combination. I'll write a script so that the volunteers have all the upgrades on board the CC (but not installed) and plenty of fuel so that the is no need trade to for funds. Any takers? [email protected]

Comms and some surface combat questions

Because the ATV has run out of charge To reproduce SNG TER/MIL/COM EARTH/GENESIS VIOLIN (this will work with any asset any career no asset has infinite power) Launch from Starstation Send AE to a shuttle Launch Shuttle Set way points etc to planet Earth once landed set HALT. Deploy ATV Exit Shuttle Enter ATV Fire gun of said Vehicle for around 50 - 60 minutes your mileage may vary. (I just put a rubberband round the joystick fire button) Your reactor runs out of power NO GUN NO ENGINE. Gun charge meter in SSD falls to zero. Now in debug mode you can dock with the shuttle. Then return to your CC and check the ATV status charge = 0. If you cant be bothered to do this like any good BluePeter presenter here's one I prepared earlier. These saved games where prepared on 1.0.0.8 RC18. This is not a bug its how it works if you don't put petrol in your car it stops, if you don't fill the CC with radine it stops (well sort of). Edit changed my home page name now im at web page [ 10-18-2002, 02:47 PM: Message edited by: Pugwash ] -

Yep they will eventually run out of missiles if you wait. I updated the Terran Raid script as it was pointed out to me that if you cloak the Terran run home (scaredy cats) when the player cloaks if they had previously detected the player. so rev 1 of the script will allow you to cloak. Also the escorting cruisers wont go home if the craft they are defending is destroyed, as long as the player is "here" they will attack. (might have been better to use exists) N.B. all the Carriers will cloak some are using the ai for the cloak others will remain cloaked at all times. The Bethebunny script will probably suffer from the same problem but I haven't updated that one too idle. If you want the update download it from the link in my previous post.

I did another sort of instant action script to complement the BUNNY Script called TERRAN RAID You need BCM1008RC15 installed and don't even think about running it if your system spec is around the minimum required to run BCM. This time you play the Gammulan Commander I had to modify the script so that the starting craft is not fixed as I found I could not save the games progress. Its a cut and paste job of the revised Bunny mission but set in Gammulan Space Again you can continue playing after this single mission as "ROAM" AG is on. The suggested starting craft is Gammulan Stormcarrier but you can choose any and see how you fair. I killed all but 2 Terran craft in 24 minutes managed to track down 1 of the cloaked carriers but gave up on the other, Only suffered some minor damage to a couple of systems when I was hit by a volley of missiles. TERRAN RAID rev1 BE THEBUNNY rev 1 This is a revised version of the Bunny mission the Stormcarriers have escorts to help defend them not quit so easy now EDIT:URLs changed [ 10-30-2004, 08:53 AM: Message edited by: Pugwash ]

That's why I smile to myself and think "ah fresh meat" whenever someone says they are going to be a Gammulan so they can have the Stormcarrier as their asset. Its a sitting duck for any good Commander. Oh and never waste missiles on them you might need them latter. But don't expect to see allot of Stormcarriers in MP and you will probably never see one without an escort / fleet with it. A human controlled Stormcarriers will not be as easy. Maybe I should write another script from the other side, the player commanding a lone Stormcarrier with 10 - 20 assorted carriers / cruisers and their support craft attacking it. Notice in that script you get no help from GalcomHQ or Genesis and you can not dock I did this deliberately the Launches and weapons are off for both Galcom and Genesis The cloaking ones can be a pain to find but theres a trick to that. There is an oversight in the script as some of the 64 attacking fighters will attack Galcom, should have added the ignore flag I might add a 10 or 12 Cruisers to the script so that the carriers can have some support / escorts.

Been running a server myself I like to play hide the carrier as an engineer so I can repair it after the air attacks in between manning the AA guns then I go up for a few bombing runs the bailout back over the carrier When the servers busy and player are queuing up on the carrier deck for the aircraft a lot of team killing goes on I've banned a few players not only from the game but I add their IP's to the fire wall as well. The game tends to give me a headache after a few hours unlike AAO which I can play all night I'll have to buy a new monitor. Servers a Dual 800Mhz PIII SCSI hds Cable 1M/512k GF4600TI SB Plat Live showing its age a bit now but plenty fast enough for BF can struggle with AAO when the anti virus, hd cleaning and defraging utilities kicking during the night. IPS 60.30.250.61 port 14567 for those in the UK not often running with a password but if its protected try pass or password mostly been running AAO on it for the past month so if its not running BF1942 try a game of AAO open 60.30.250.61:1716 edit my ISP changed my static IP address for some reason? Gone back to running mainly AA0 with a few BF1942 games [ 08-24-2002, 11:34 PM: Message edited by: Pugwash ]

Yes but I still suggest you use the released and supported 1.0.07 FULL to patched the Cdrom install, then use the 1.0.0.8RC15. Using this method your sure to get all the patches in the right order, not to miss any, or patch with the wrong version. At least once a file has been updated again the same day or an additional file has been uploaded, are you certain you have all the files and the correct versions? Its simpler and cuts down the risk of patching errors and should leave you with clean stable install.

I made a small error when I zipped the archive I stored the relative path , that relative to the standard Install path ie C:Program Files3000ADBattlecruiser Millenniumscripts If anyones not sure how to install view this applet GBS_Install_viewlet.html TheBunny If BCM has become unstable uninstall it then delete the BC300ad folder reinstall and patch v1.0.07 full from the file download pages then patch bcm/bcm1008RC15_update.exe I'll upload 1.0.0.8RC15Full to my site if Derek gives me the ok Then you can patch straight from the cdrom install one less step to go wrong viewlets removed from my site so nolonger available [ 10-18-2002, 12:56 PM: Message edited by: Pugwash ]
