I loved that show. I was very disappointed to see it cancelled. Always hoped it go into syndication, you know maybe someone will "Shuffle the deck and deal the Wild Cards" again. That Col. with the nipple on his neck was real cool.

Dude, you have too much time on your hands. Sit back and enjoy the show.

BTW SC, Starhunter is a Canadian sci-fi effort that has some similarities to the First Wave. It lists 2000 as the original air date but is only now being aired in syndication in the US. My understanding is the have two seasons in the can. Pare stars as Dante Montana a bounty hunter looking for his abducted son when he discovers that humanity is threatened. Haven't seen it listed on any of our local channels (Pgh,Pa) The show has a couple of fan based websites you may want to check out.

I saw "Fastlane" and enjoyed it too but am careful to file under the guilty pleasure category. A fusion of Miami Vice and Fast and the Furious. Hell , they even stole the Phil Collins tune made famous in Miami Vice during one sequence. I'm interested in Firefly but honestly it looks awful. Hopefully I'm wrong and Josh Whedon can pull another one outta his ass ala Buffy. Hack has Hackeneyed written all over it I guarantee it will be cancelled before Christmas. Most of the lineup looks to be the same regurgitated paplum the networks churn out year after year. Like ER? Check out Presidio Med. A CSI fan ? you'll love Without a Trace. Blah , blah ,blah. Thank God for HBO. I do feel Birds of Prey with Dina Meyer from Starship Troopers has promise. John Doe looks interesting and the New Twighlight Zone has Pen Densham writing scripts , he of the Outer Limits and that dear readers is a good thing. Me? I'm waiting for the season premier of The Shield , IMO was the most captivating hours of tv last year. Until then I'll just keep the old dvd revved and ready to go. Tonites features Changing Lanes and the restored Lawrence of Arabia. That'll keep me busy for a while.

I always thought Hell on Earth was Erie , Pa . It's nice to know it is really located in the Great Northwest!

I am a die hard Pittsburgh Steeler fan. Need I say more? I guess so. Does anyone not know how to beat my team? I almost called off of work and would have but I knew everyone at work would know why. Please no mean remarks ,I'm looking for sympathy here. And oh yeah if anyone does have anything bad to say I simply remind you what Jay and Silent BoB did to thier detractors at the end of thier movie....I have frequent flier miles and a nasty disposition! Happy B-Day to my best virtual friend. I hope you enjoy yourself and employ the use of a designated driver this evening. You are a fine young man who handles a situation (single dadhood)that most "tough guys" couldn't begin to understand. After four hours with The Evil One I am on my knees praying for my wifes return. Keep up the good work and be the man. Three cheers for the Fox!!!!!!!!!! Hooray for Grayfox Hooray at last... Hooray for Grayfox , he's a horse's ass! (Traditional Bannon Family birthday cheer)

I am indeed an old fart and damn proud to be one. I have no pretense that I am hip or "down" with what is perceived as youth culture. I am also prone to generalization and to lesser or greater extent , so are most other people. My statement regarding self gratification was flip but based on some empirical evidence( I spend 20 hours a week doing psyhco-social profiles on adolescents that ask questions like 'how often do you masturbate)Futhermore I was trying to add some levity to a subject that had gotten pretty heavy. DL I go out of my way to be unoffensive but not to the point of draining the emotion and humor that has served me so well. I was really impressed that someone Dredd's age was really devoting time to a subject of that nature and it was IMO a testament that at least in his case (they) are not all generation 'less' as some would have us believe. Lastly, I am not senile. I would be happy to match you synapse for synapse any day any time any place( except when Wheel Of Fortune or Lawrence Welk is on the TV) So there! What was I saying again?...I've forgotten. Oh crap..forget about it.

Apology or no you were way outta line Enigma and I've lost some respect for you. Not because I think you are a racist because I'm convinced that you are not , but because there are some lines you don't cross even as a joke. We can have long debates on politics, religion,PC whatever but lets be a little more sensitive. That said apology accepted welcome back to the fold.

I am passing that article out to everyone of my cannabis abusing clients. Thanks EPs for choosing my adolescent group topic for the week.

All I can say is wow! I mean all that reaction to a fundemental query of adolescent angst. I mean Dredd is 18y/o!! I'm suprised people his age can stop masturbating long enough to think those thoughts. It is a real tribute to Dredd that he has the maturity to delve into such a heavy subject. However as adults we should recognize his feelings for what they are and not over react by prosthelizing eachother and being disrespectful of others beliefs Jag certainly has a right to his beliefs even though as a Christian I disagree with him. TOLERANCE!! thats a big word that is often overlooked. Getting back to Dredd , son you seem intelligent and you appear commited to some important values. As you live your life , your way,you will make mistakes. Some of them will teach you some very harsh lessons and some of which will force you to change how you view the world. Some of us older farts can attest to this. You'll fall in love and at some time lose love. Your heart will break and you will wonder how you can go on. But you will. You wil come to terms with your own mortality in ways that you think you can't survive (My father died two years ago and I'm still not over it) and you will experience joy that you can now only imagine ( birth of a child, or a religoius awakening)But whatever path you choose just keep walking kid. The game ain't over as long as you are on your feet. One day you will be on the other end of this converation and you'll better understand just what it entails to make the journey. Good luck and Godspeed

All this from a country that is the gateway for middle eastern terrorist. While I lived there three Americans (two dipolmats and a naval officer) were assasinated in broad daylight with nary a hint of a suspect. Last year radical members of Sept 17th ( a terrorist group with ties to the KKE Greak communist party) robbed a police armory and got away with out firing a shot even though the placed was F**king filled with Greek cops. So let's place all our efforts on the evil and dangerous gaming community...that'll solve our problems. Beautiful country , great people and culture , stupid corrupt government.

She should change her name to Lucy Wooooooooo! Anyway I hope the movies better than the game. I have heard nothng but bad buzz about it in GBA circles. Havent played it myself so who knows?

We are currently up to 24% Not bad for a so called fringe game for control freaks. If the SC's personal wealth wasn't at stake I'd say F**k em let it be our little secret how much this game rocks!

I think it is more appropriate that I tell you what I haven't caught(yet) Beri Beri , jungle rot scurvy , lockjaw, yellow fever and cholera. Everything else I think the Evil One has passed on to us. Here's the kicker , when she gets it it's bad and after a few days she's aces. When I get it its so bad that a week later I feel I should be the subject of made for tv survivor movie. If anyone knows where I could get a portable bubble suit , hook me up

How to spend an hour goofing off...
Kevin Trotter replied to Supreme Cmdr's topic in General Chatter
Ahhh...Okay so next time pee sitting down and what movie did you go see and lastly all that only took an hour? Every time I read one of those techie post I fell even older and dumber. Thanks for the confidence boost. PS. Wouldn't you hate to be the dullard tech support guy taking the SC's call? It's like Resnig's revenge...they are probably the progenitors to the old incompetent one. I just hope the SC hasn't screwed up the space time continum -
$ilk unless you are handy with the tools , find the best looking best maintained house in your subdivision and make nice with the owner. Then ask him or her what contactors they use for repair and renovation. I know this seems really simple and I know you are a smart guy but it is sometimes overlooked. DO NOT HIRE ANYONE BEFORE SEING AT LEAST FOUR ESTIMATES AND ALWAYS< ALWAYS ASK FOR NEIGHBORHOOD REFERENCES. I didnt do this and had to have my roof repaired twice!! the first guy,a friend of a friend, screwed it up and had my new roof colapse in my guest bathroom three days before Christmas . Total cost of both jobs $4700.00 Merry F'in Christmas. I know this sounds like a no brainer but you'd be srprised how easy it is to forget
