Tweaks & Cheats galore! Enhanced single player in 32-player map hack right here! quote: I'm not sure you guys know this, but you can edit aidefault.ai to put more bots into a single player game. Cool enough. But did you know that you can boot up a single player game, and then have other people connect directly to your IP address for bona fide co-op play with a mapload of bots?

quote: Originally posted by Prez: Hmm. I kind of got the impression that the battle with the Joker will take place off screen and the next movie will take place after. Not sure why I got that impression, but I think it would be hard for the new series of movies to maintain a serious dark edge with the Joker stealing the show. BTW, wasn't the Joker played by Nicholson in the Burton film? Carey played the Riddler, unless I'm mistaken. He said OK, I'll look into it. To me, thats a setup for the next movie. I could be wrong. Yeah, Carey player the Riddler, but I think he would do better as the Joker. The box office numbers are in. [ 06-19-2005, 08:32 AM: Message edited by: Supreme Cmdr ]

Supreme Cmdr replied to Supreme Cmdr's topic in PC Gaming & Technology

Derek, we've been doing this for going on 6 years now. I yam what I yam and that's all that I yam. Love me or hate me, I'm here to stay. Yep, thats why we love to hate you. quote: Originally posted by Shingen: My idea of "persistent" online games would be: Trade Wars 2002v2 (MajorBBS) I played a TW game of upwards of 18 months way back in '92. 5000 sectors, 1500 turns. Game ran 24/7, never reset and except for maintinence, the game was online and playable. Terminus: Played a Terminus game for upwards of 3 months (on and off) no resets. I got my ass kicked regularly and took a few names myself. Anyway, please excuse my ignorance. Yeah, and thats the problem. What you describe it not persistence. Not in the least. Leaving your oven on and going to bed doesn't mean that its going to bake a cake if there isn't anything in it. Anyone can take a server online - even a server for an fps game - and walk away from it for three months. All of a sudden that makes it persistent? uhm, no. quote: Originally posted by Teknocack Prime: Forgive a n00b butting in but it seems to me that this whole discussion between SC and Shingen is simply both of them defining persistence from two perspectives: the gamer, and the progammer. Just my two cents. Yep

I wasn't planning on releasing any further patches until the final 2.00.30 patch, but the testers discovered a critical issue which I fixed and decided to release another interim version. Once the final version is released, thats it.

I was reading the latest PC Gamer and they mentioned a mod that I decided to check out. Since then, I've been playing mp this weekend. Its really cool and just addictive as I remembered it. To get back into it, do this: btw, the expansion pack is crap. Just stay away from it. Do a fresh CD-ROM install of AvP2 (or AvP2 Gold) Apply the 1.0.9.06 patch Then, from here, download and apply the following updates in order. AvP2 Multiplayer Map Update #1 Aliens vs Predator 2 Single Player Map Update #1 AvP2 Custom Map Pack (155.1MB version) AvP 2 - Jungle 2 Map If you want, you can also apply the ProJam 4.4 mod (recently reviewed in PC Gamer) FilePlanet also has several good maps which some servers are running. If you have GaySpy or GaySpyArcade, you can search for servers. I use ASE (which is going down the crapper since Yahoo! bought it) and only play Team DM on two really good (read: no wankers) servers; [9thCMD]Fight Club [D] WWW.TIMELESSGUARDIANS.COM [ 06-22-2005, 08:27 AM: Message edited by: Supreme Cmdr ]

Check the reg page. The online VCF has also been updated. You have to positively read the VCF before applying this patch. You have been warned. For those of you new to UC. You need to install the v2.00.00 patch first, before installing this patch on top of it. WARNING: Due to users going from the base 2.00.00 patch to the current 2.00.xx patch; this patch WILL delete ALL saved games. So, if you are upgrading from 2.00.19 or higher, backup the files in the SAVE folder before applying the patch. If you run an mp server, you should also backup your UCSETUPMP.INI file. After applying the patch, copy them back to the SAVE folder. If you attempt to do this with any saved game version earlier than the specified version, good luck bud.

I saw the trailer to this on the big screen, at the Batman Begins showing. I almost pee'd my pants. I can't wait!!

They are sure to threaten you with the dreaded rubber stamp of NC17 doom. Zombies or no, R ratings don't allow for hardly any graphic violence these days. Oh really? Then please explain to me the R rating that Sin City got. That film had NC17 written all over it. quote: Originally posted by Grayfox: ive seen that one, and yes... pretty damn bad Which?

OMG!!! OMG!!! OMFG!!!!!! I loved this movie!! Its the best movie since.......Gone With The Wind!! Yeah, thats it!! Better than even Chitty Chitty Bang Bang!! It will wipe the pants off The Wiz Of Oz. It is even more cerebral than, uhm, oh wait... No seriously, this movie was badass in so many ways, I totally REGRET seeing Mr. & Mrs Smith right after. Right through the Pitt & Jolie romp, all I kept thinking about was rushing out and right back into another Batman showing. Before this, Burton's Batman with Keaton was my fav. But, I tell you what, when you see this, all memories of every Batman movie will be erased from your memory. Seriously. The style. The pacing. The acting. The backstory. Everything was just perfect. I see what Hellbinder was talking about the combat being in tight camera angles. The point is that you're not supposed to fully see all of that stuff. Batman is a Knight of the night. He is swift, sudden and unlike superheroes (for those who don't know, Batman is not a superhero) just does what needs to be done. Just like his ninja training taught him. The fight scenes were just perfect. Perfect!! I absolutely LOVED the pacing of this film. I can't think of any single boring part. I can't believe that in all these years, it took a low key director (Chris Nolan of Memento fame) and a vastly underrated actor (Chris Bale) to revise this franchise. Good thing they all signed up for a three picture deal. 2007 can't come soon enough. Now that they've got his origins out of the way, I expect more visceral action and fight scenes in the next installment. Man, Batman makes Spiderman look like a school girl. Seriously. Batman is dark. Dark as it should be. And serious. Very serious. I bet I'm going to see this about three more times before it finishes its run. Chris Bale is finally going to get the recognition that he deserves. When the movie ended, the audience just sat there. And clapped. And clapped. And clapped. I've never seen such reaction to a movie before. And I go to this theatre all the time. btw -- SPOILER alert --- from the end of the movie, it looks like he's going to be facing the Joker in the next one. I hope they bring back Jim Carey. I can't think of any other actor who would fit that role.

Geez guys, you're not helping here. I'm trying HARD to not see this until tomorrow so that I can see it back to back with Mr and Mrs Smith. Man, this is going to be hard. I probably won't sleep tonite. LOL @ Scriv
