Jackson] investigating a runaway kid as a favor to a neighbor. While investigating this suspect's neighborhood, he ends up helping an old lady who had fallen on the stairs of her home (it was raining and she'd slipped). She invites him in for a cuppa. At which point he is taken hostage by a group of scamsters who assumed that he was there because he was onto to them. Its really quite good.
  2. Matt, please stop creating duplicate topics. The patch works, if you apply it correctly and as indicated in the FAQ and on countless threads here. So, the problem is probably not the patch, but your system.
  3. I just came across this (the bastards used BCG shots for the article. But don't worry, they've got an inbound email), then I went... Whoa!! talk about a blast from the past! And the v2.0x freeware version is still alive and kicking in the download charts
  4. quote: Originally posted by XOR: no gore!? there was tons of gore lol Tons of gore? Do you know what gore actually means? e.g. when they took out Depp's eyes, did they show it? No. Were the sockets all bare, quite clearly visible etc etc? No. There were just Black holes (when he took the shades off) and Black blood dripping. If it were gory - like other movies - they'd actually show the act of taking his eyes out, show as much gratuitous gore (e.g. where his eyes used to be) as possible. You don't know gore.

  6. Typical RR stuff. A lot of fun and games. Johnny Depp, as usual, is just captivating. A lot of fun and none of the gratuitous gore (RR just did'nt show them!) seen in recent action packed movies. 10/10 ps: The git who created a previous topic, decided he was going to buck the trend and change the subject format. So I deleted it and created this one.

  8. heh, that was quite good
  9. quote: Originally posted by Outlaw: You can't go wrong with the Turtle Beach Santa Cruz. Yep. I've got four of them in machines back here. Soundblaster cards, apart from the whole EAX thing, are vastly overrated - and have far too many compatibility problems with various chipsets.
  10. It was either this or The Order (which didn't have a convenient showing time), but I was quite surprised actually. Nicky Cage nails this one down pat. He's had practice I think. And well, Sam Rockwell (another underrated star like Christian Bale) is always fun to watch. Its a bit out of Ridley Scot's realm, but I was quite surprised actually. 8.5/10
  11. This one slipped under my radar and I only happened to even know that it existed as I was exiting the showing of Once Upon A Time In Mexico. It is very well done and a really good suspensful psychological thriller flick. 9/10
  12. Cool? Whats cool about it? It was horribly gratuitously gruesome (e.g. the lady shaving her legs in the bathtub) - the same thing thats ruining the youths of America. I remember back when movies like Excorcist, Damien, Hitchcock's twistedly demented stuff etc were true horror movies. Today, if its not gory and gruesome enough, its not horrific enough to be considered a horror flick. In fact, I recently read somewhere that the movie studio responsible for the next Excorcist movie fired the producer (?) because it wasn't gruesome enough. F*cking idiots.

  14. quote: Originally posted by Matt Steudl: i am serious about getting tech support, the main reason i started this thread was to find out how to fix the patch. otherwise i would not have bothered. There's nothing wrong with the patch. And there are several threads (in this same forum) about stuff like this anyway. No need for a new topic.
  15. quote: Originally posted by XOR: just pray that no battlecruisers are passing by while the storm hits cus we all know how water is their weakness LOL!! It is? Anyway, I use WeathebugPro, so I get up-to-the-minute stats on weather conditions, via its HurricaneNet feature.
  16. quote: Originally posted by Jaguar: Update, hope you guys understand this stuff, Yeah, I understand it. It means we're all gonna die. Seriously though, I'm in Fort Lauderdale (inland) and even if it hits, it is not likely to cause much damage in this area. Especially since I live in an area that was built pre-Andrew; which means that they have stringent building codes introduced after that sum***** hit back in '92 (?)

Damnit Pery, did you have to go an' tell 'im what color it is? Didn't we already have a don't scare the n00bie thread awhile back? Now he's gonna go dye it Yellow or sumthin' [ 09-12-2003, 06:39 AM: Message edited by: Supreme Cmdr ]

You have NO business posting about UNSUPPORTED game modding when you are requesting tech support. This thread will be deleted when I get back, since you're not serious about obtaining tech support.

  21. *sigh* I never got to see any movies this weekend. Not sure if it was because of the storm or because I am in a perpetual comatose state as we work to wrap up the game (which 100% not the game everyone is expecting that it is) for release....sometime this year. But next weekend, I'm getting even because there are 2-3 movies opening and which I want to see.
  22. Thanks for the update, I am planning on seeing this one on Sunday.
  23. Before today, I'd never heard of these folks, but I've just lost 45 mins of my life looking at and laughing at the daily comics. Here, check out this one. And before you click on this one, make sure you don't have any food or drink in your mouth.
  24. I'm looking forward to this one, but don't have time to piss around with demos atm. So, whats the 411 on this?
