The downloads page has been updated with the links, but you'd have to keep checking until the mirrors themselves have been updated. The VCF has been updated. All saved games are invalid because I screwed up in the 1.0.06 patch and got the wrong number of turret class vectors for some station types (type 2, 3 and one other) which is what caused them (e.g. Sygan) not to fire. The patch will delete all saved games So, since this patch is minor, do NOT use it if you have a previous career you want to keep.

You should still be able to stand where you think the model should be, face it, take a shot. And indicate that right in front of you is a model that is underground. PLUS, you display screen shots WITHOUT following the rules related to posting such issues. We don't know what mzone, what scene etc etc. fer crissakes WHAT is it going to take?

Hell yeah. Buy it and find out Playing as a marine is the freakiest and scariest thing this side of dating your sister's ugly friend. And in MP only the talentless whimps use the Smartgun. Or so I'm told each time I show up toting one.

I have moved the important GBS-II tutorials from here into the forum archives. Go there and you will see them with new headings. I have created an extensive new topic related to models. In the future, all such tutorials will be moved over there in order to preserve them and prevent useless chatter. Each tutorial or a specific question related to scripting, modding etc, can of course be posted here.

Without the Resume Waypoints order, the craft won't fly any waypoints. Giving that order and turning on the AP is the same as setting waypoints for a fighter and then launching it. The fighter pilot automatically initiates this order if it detects that waypoints are defined for it. In fact, you can override an NPC craft's orders by giving it another order (e.g. SAD), then give it Resume Waypoints order later. After performing the order branch (i.e. SAD) it will go back to the waypoint pattern. [ 03-06-2002, 09:46: Message edited by: Supreme Cmdr ]

quote: Originally posted by Duncan Idaho: Heheh, Isn't that a little like getting Einstien to speak at your school without ever once mentioning his past work? I think the history should be there, because that history, if told correctly, lets one know just how far SC will go to be sure his title becomes what he envisioned it would. I mean, he DID go to incredible lengths when almost any other developer out there would have cut their losses, and quietly joined some other company. Not SC. Keep the history, even if it's sometimes an unpleasant reminder of things past. It's also a reminder of true dedication. Idaho I agree. And FWIW, I like the way both Denny and Jeff (and some others of recent memory) mentioned this in a subtle fashion without overbearing the reader with the intricate details and wasting valuable space. After all, like it or not, Derek Smart and the Battlecruiser franchise are probably part of the whole game industry pop culture now. Yikes! Such pressure.

btw, unless there is something pending that I don't already know about, I will be releasing the 1.0.07 patch later today. So, if there is anything that I should know about that is a confirmed and reproducible problem, I'd like to know about it by 3pm EST.

Sending it now, with a description in the email body. Fixed. The email explanation and the screen shots helped a great deal!! quote: Originally posted by Duncan Idaho: Hmm, I think it would help if you provided more information: i.e. Which planet? Which mission area/base on the planet? Idaho No. That would be too easy. From the shots, it looks like he's on Sygan. And since I don't see ANY fp shots, it looks like he is AGAIN posting about that Tacops camera issue I have already discussed earlier in this thread. Your guess is as good as mine as to WHY he wouldn't provide any fp shots. I swear if I'm right, he'll regret it.

And for AvP2, I'm usually on the Duke Nukem, Stargate Avp2, Hadley's Hope or Roman Marine servers. In fact, this weekend I'm probably going to host a server on my BCM mp box here (a 2Ghz beast). Its on a DSL connection, so, if anyone wants to play (Sat or Sun), let me know and lets setup a game.

Ho Lee Cow!! You must've really pissed them off. Word must be getting around.

You need to download winRAR from www.winrar.com and use it to extract the program. Then read the docs which are extracted.

quote: Originally posted by Duncan Idaho: Heheh, I got waypoints down, just can't make my CC hyperjump to one. If it can be done, I'll figure it out, been busy starting a 3rd new character. Idaho You should know that you can only jump depending on the distance to the target. If the distance to the waypoint is too close, you won't jump. To have your CC follow a waypoint in space for example: create the waypoints in Tacops (for the CC) give your CC the Resume Waypoints order turn on the AP sit back and enjoy the ride You can even see the waypoint markers and the distance to the current one, from the HUD. And you can cycle the waypoints (check your keyboard sheet) just like normal targets. And if you want to go around a planet to a target on the other side, without accidentally doing planetfall, set Tacops to a top-down view (numeric 5 key), zoom in (Tacops keyboard zooming commands work best. check the manual) to where the planet+target are, then set several waypoints which form a route around the planet and to the target. Simple aye? [ 03-05-2002, 19:43: Message edited by: Supreme Cmdr ]

Just because I don't play it - as a gamer - anymore, doesn't mean I don't enjoy it when I DO play it - as a developer. Your definition of enjoyment is probably different from mine. [ 03-05-2002, 17:21: Message edited by: Supreme Cmdr ]

Waypoints work just fine. Learn how to use them.

Considering that he made the most stupid mistake ever (thank Gallion for setting him straight), even though the procedure for patching is CLEARLY outlined in several places, only a complete tit would listen to any advice he has to give. Yes, DD removes ALL driver traces - and that route is always suggested if a driver install is suspect.

Works as designed. Your AE is in the shuttle, hence access to those systems. And please STOP making references to mp since you know nothing about it or what it does. And please play the game some more before posting anything that isn't a confirmed bug in here. You obviously don't know enough about the game (going by the majority of your posts) if you are posting stuff like this (and the others I deleted in the past). I stopped playing BCM several years ago once the novelty wore off. Now I play only when I'm developing, testing or bug hunting. I don't remember the last time I actually sat down, fired up the game - and played - without doing that specifically for dev purposes. Is that good or bad?

Yep. I'm looking forward to this one too!!
