BC3K FREEZES ON LOGIN SCREEN ....
Supreme Cmdr replied to Cyclone's topic in Battlecruiser 3000AD (Legacy)
Its memory related it seems. Either that or he borked the patch (e.g. regardless of the warnings, he ran it from the desktop). -
...she wanted to see it, so I got dragged. It was either that or stay home and work on multiplayer code. I liked it a lot. I am a fan of all three lead characters, so liking it was easy. Its a date movie, without the gushing nonsense. Freaking hilarious in some parts, but funny all around.

If you missed this when it came out back in 1993 (video import) and you thought Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon was good - RUN - don't walk and go see this. It'll make you forget about CTHD. Trust me on this. Wo Ping is the master of martial choreography and this is one of his best works.

Papi, check your mail, I've sent you some questions. btw, the /NM and /LT flags are for the planet surface only. They won't prevent the artifact in image #2 from happening. All flags are at the end of the FAQ

I can have both for the same price. Just wanna know the FPS difference... for comparison purpose. I dunno. And I don't care either. I don't spend my time running card comparisons. You already know my thoughts wrt to the Radeon cards. I don't plan on repeating myself.

..enough with the silly questions

quote: Originally posted by Urza: You could achieve the same thing by watching from the safety of your trusty TacOps computer. Untrue. In BCM, once you launch any OTS missile, you are auto-switch to the spectator view on the planet just as soon as the missile is about to detonate. This way, you can survey the damage from ground-zero, before going back to Tacops.

Or if you can't afford the GF2 Pro just yet, get the GF2 GTS

They sure as hell didn't tell me about it. But if they're getting units the week of 10/15, how can they ship on 10/15, when in fact, the units go to their central warehouse, from where it had to go to the stores? I've already addressed this before. And I don't want to address it again. Common sense needs to be at play here and I'm getting ANNOYED at this rubbish. OK, the game is in manufacturing - the NEXT goofball who posts anything in this thread, that has already been addressed wrt this issue, is going to have their posting rights suppressed. Thats that

quote: Originally posted by Badgerius: Does the AI take the initiative? Does a Sygan's AI decide that it wants Pixan obliterated, and launch its assets with orders to destroy Pixan? Also, do the autogen ships actually launch from their bases and travel to their destinations, rather than simply appearing there as they did in BC3K? I know that this was done to save processing power in BC3K, and I'd like to know if this is still the case, since we've got more processing power now. It depends on the current ROE state Both. Which is why you can follow them back to their base.

quote: Originally posted by $iLk: I have a couple more questions; If I don't like my crew, can I send them all to shuttles and transporters, ditch them in a gas giant, and still be able to somewhat control the ship myself? If I was to be playing as... Terran/Mil what would happen if I just started destroying GALCOM assets and bombing cities? Just a court martial or would my caste change? If I launched the R.A.N.D.O.M. weapon at a planet, then transported myself there, could I get a cool view of armageddon? It depends on the crew member you lost Your caste will not change but will be court-martialed. Apart from the fact that all GALCOM forces would be out to ruin your day. Yes. In the after life

Regardless of what autogen does, the AI of each race/caste is what determines WHAT they do and HOW they do it once they are created by the world (autogen), script (campaign) or otherwise (threat assessment, interception, interdiction) etc. AI is the primary core of BCM and if you (scott1) think I have time to sit down and write a novel on how it actually works, you must be out of your mind. From a simple mining drone that does nothing but using pathfinding to trace routes and then mining, to a station launching fighters during intercept, each and every entity has an AI layer. So, explaining about one aspect is meaningless, due to the MANY layers and levels used.

I think there are alot of people out there who would enjoy a game like this but just don't know about it. I know alot of great games that haven't sold due to the fact that no one knows about em. I hope this isn't the case with this game. You must be drinking. EB has had ads in game mags, oversized BCM boxes and posters in stores etc. Dunno how you missed them, but thats been going on for over six months. heh

Yer gits, if all you see is White, it means the file is still downloading. Besides, you have no business downloading a 14MB file on a 9600 baud modem.
