I found some issues in the language.lng file today and which affects the priority list menus. The patch will be reissued today to include the fixed file. Will advise when it is available via the Updater and D2D. UPDATE: The server now has the fixed version. Just run Updater as normal and it will indicate that 1.00.16.01 is available. Note that the version number for the game will not change. It will still show 1.00.16 in the main menu. The update is currently only on the update server. This patch requires the April 2006 (or later) DirectX runtime Use the game Updater to download and apply the patch. The online VCF has also been updated. NOTES: If you use the game's Updater, the process will go like this: If you have any version lower than 1.00.07, it will download the 1.00.07 update first. After applying this, you need to run Updater again so that it can download the incremental update to the latest version. You will have to run the Update multiple times to get all the updates to the latest version. If you already have 1.00.07 or higher installed, it will download only the incremental update to the latest version. If you don't want to use the Updater, then you have to check one of the public mirrors for a link to the full patch; which you should then copy into the game's folder and execute from there. Though this latest patch contains a new SETTINGS.INI file, if the Updater downloads the patch but it doesn't run or you discover that it didn't patch, you may need to edit the SETTINGS.INI file in Notepad and make the following changes : version=1.00.15 to version=1.00.16 (or change this to whatever the previous version was) location=. to location=%updater% Then save the file and run the Updater again. WARNING: DO NOT DOWNLOAD THE PUBLIC PATCHES AVAILABLE ON DOWNLOAD MIRRORS IF YOU HAVE THE DOWNLOAD (e.g. DIRECT2DRIVE) VERSION OF THE GAME!! USE THE UPDATER INSTEAD. ONCE THE PUBLISHERS MAKE THEIR VERSIONS OF THE PATCH AVAILABLE, THE UPDATER WILL DOWNLOAD THEM. THE TIMETABLE FOR THOSE PATCH RELEASES IS UP TO THE PUBLISHER DUE TO HOW THEIR PROTECTION SYSTEM WORKS.

I couldn't care less. The problem is that it is shows like this - and Christmas bum rush - that cause games to be rushed out. In fact, it is at shows like this that crappy and buggy software gets shoved into the limelight and disreputable sites hold scoops on games otherwise declared as crapware when released. Next Gen continues with their story

Yeah, space looks a little better in UCSE due to some new lighting. Also, now all the crafts (fighters, shuttles, vehicles etc) have specular maps. In UCAWA, only cap ships and stations had them. The D2D version has already been submitted for protection. Once I get it back and build the installer, it will be ready to roll. We're shooting for this week sometime.

HEAT had the best shootout of any film I've ever seen. In fact, I just got through watching it again. Man, that was intense.

I already made it clear to Remo and others. If any Prime member leaves to join any fleet, they won't be allowed back in any official fleet. Not in mp. Not in UCO. Not ever. I hope that I have made myself clear on this

I suspect that it could either be a graphics or audio issue. Try lowering the acceleration on your audio card and see. Also make sure you have the latest video drivers for your card. Also, anyone who goes and tinker with their swap file, not knowing how to do it, is asking for trouble. With 2GB of memory, Windows should be allow ed to manage the swap file. This does not cause any Windows crashes. It is when you incorrectly set a fixed swap file, that problems start to occur.

Don't even bother. The only good thing I have to say about this movie, is....wait, scratch that. I can't think of anything good. If you're a Mann fan, go see it. But with much lowered expectations. Otherwise, wait for the DVD. This was a movie made out of ego and it shows. It was just plain bad. Even the end battle which should have had Mann's signature, came out as a total flop and anti-climatic. I was so dissapointed, I'm considering boycotting Mann for the next couple of years. 5/10

Man, with all the good shows hitting this fall, I'm gonna need to upgrade the HDD on my Tivo series2 box very soon. In fact, a few months back, I bought an LG LRM-519 for the living room. Connecting it to my 802.11g WiFi network and using Windows Media Connect, I can view pictures from my computers, play music, transfer shows back/forth etc. If you do get one, be sure to check their list of supported WiFi adapters before you buy one. I was foolish enough to think that the DLink brand I use would just work. Nope. You have to buy a specific model from specific manufacturers. And MS made the Microsoft Program Guide free, so you no longer have to pay for it.

Another one of USA network's character driven series. It is really quite good and hilarious for the most part. If you haven't been catching this, now would be a good time to start. It follows Monk, another one of my all time favorites. If you missed the pilot, then you won't get it. He isn't actually a psychic. He just pretends to be one using his remarkable power of observation and auto-suggestion. Only his partner (West Wing's Dule Hill) knows that he's not a psychic.

Man, this is the funniest and hippest show in a while. The second episode was just as equally strange and hilarious, all at the same time. I love the lead actor. He plays his part with that dead pan look that you can't help but burst out laughing in every other scene. EVERYONE around him is smarter than he is, yet, he realizes it but plays along anyway. Spoiler: You have got to see the ending where his automated house locks him out. Its laugh out loud hilarious.

Madman? According to everything I've read thus far in the Hollywood entertainment magazines, this movie has kicked him over the edge and out of the it list. Unless he pulls the next one out of his a$$ and not insult our intelligence, he's done and gone.

Yeah, dropping down the sound acceleration usually fixes Windows sound problems with games. But I will leave this thread here, just in case someone else doesn't realize that the use of headphones has nothing to do with sound reproduction.

If you can reproduce it then prep everything ready for launch. Select a target etc etc. Then save the game and send us the saved game profile to look at to [email protected] There is a thread here explaining what files make up the saved game and what to send. And you better do it asap because the 1.00.16 patch is due out next week to coincide with the release of UCSE. So if there is a bug which can be reproduced, it can be rolled into 1.00.16. I take it that nobody else has such issues with OTS detonation?
