Typical Jack Sparrow yarn. I sorted like this one better than the first in some ways. But boy is this one hilarious!!! There isn't a single scene that goes by where you don't LOL and go wtf? All the performances were top notch and those two reprobate mutineering (sp?) pirates (that odd couple, where one has a false eye) are back. Each time these two show up on screen, you know something crazy is about to happen. This was very well done and well paced. It is a long as Superman 3 but you won't notice it due to the pacing. Can't wait for the third and final (?) installment. 10/10

North Korean Missile Crisis

The West - nor the US - can't do ANYTHING without China, Japan and Russia on board. The issue this: Who is responsible for that little prick having an arsenal to begin with? Thats right. All the people he is currently blackmailing. Its not like scientists leave his country, go somewhere to learn all this shit; then happily return home to share their acquired knowledge. As to the test failure. That just goes to show that not every instruction sheet found on Google will work or is credible. That prick. Someone just needs to send a GPS guided bomb and bury his ass. Both Iran and NK are doing the same shit; so I won't be surprised if they were'nt comparing notes. -

Does anyone watch this? I don't see it discussed here. It is really quite good and season two is just as good (if not better) than season one. Watching Brenda juggle work and a new relation is hilarious and serious all at the same time. Its on TNT btw.

Oh boy, this is getting heated up. The next episode is going to be interesting. heh, Kill Isabelle? Yeah right. Like she won't see it coming.

Actually I didn't see Sky High. It just looked stupid; so I passed. Is it worth getting on DVD?

A pretty good mind trip. If you liked Donnie Darko, then you'll probably like this. Its like Donnie Darko lite but easier to grasp. It is a typical date movie, and I thought it was well done and well paced. 8/10

FYI, resurrecting a long dead thread while not adding anything particularly useful to it, is a crime punishable by sudden decompression. -

Its not much, but until the full trailer shows up, this should get your juices flowing.

At least until they decide to make another Galaxy Quest (I loved that movie), this will have to do.

I did say that ALL the characters played their part very well. That of course includes Spacey. He was perfect for the part.

Not even close. Batman is way better than Superman.

They took 20 yrs to come up with a little over sub-par movie of one of the greatest superheroes of all time. As Superman, Brandon Routh is instantly the best thing about the movie. He is Superman. After Spiderman and Batman Returns, I had very high expectations for Superman but I was seriously let down. It doesn't even have the appeal that makes you want to go back and see it again. Like Spiderman and Batman, I saw them three times before they finished their theatrical run. The next time I see Superman, it will be on DVD. It wasn't all bad though, but to me it was just as sub-par as Fantastic Four and The Hulk. The special effects were well done and ALL the characters played their parts VERY WELL. But I felt that the film was lacking something. I can't quite put my finger on what it is lacking, but it just didn't feel right. Lets not even go into the plot holes you could drive a train through. e.g. Clark and Superman disappear at the same time and returned at the same time. Yet, nobody seemed to notice, nor make the connection. Plus, I never got that whole thing about Clark and Superman looking exactly alike, yet, nobody connects the dots. Who knew that a pair of goofy glasses could totally hide someone's facial features? Oh yeah, he has a child. Thats so preposterous its not even funny. How is it even remotely possible for him to even conceive? What about genetics? This is the guy who can't feel bullets fer crissakes. This is a guy who - for all intent and purposes - is an alien. Its like mating a dog and a horse. In fact, I'm only giving it a 7 because Brandon Routh convinced me that he was in fact fit to play the part of Superman. 7/10 [ 06-29-2006, 08:07 AM: Message edited by: Supreme Cmdr ]
