Unable to repair support ship systems
Charles Lindsey replied to chanys's topic in Universal Combat Series
Try this link. I linked to my specific post but you can scroll up for other infomation. Be sure to click the link in Ace Ventura's post. That's another good thread. Also, you must have the parts to repair support craft. You are given very few. There are also kits that will repair almost anything on a support craft but you are given even fewer of those. Or is it the other way around? HMmmm. Darn. Either way you are given very few parts to repair support craft. To summarize: You must have the parts. Don't repair a system if its status is green. Don't assign so many system engineers to a repair that it only takes a minute. That screws with the AI logic of the repair guys. -
quote:Remo said something like this: LOL! I love pizza myself. Thats probably why I'm weighing close to 220lbs now also. I quit drinking sodas during the day and started walking my dog a lot. I have lost 20 lbs and am now hovering near 135. Cough! Cough! Choke! Gasp! I looked at BAbylon 5 on amazon and it's almost $370! I would have paid the $40 I paid for Firefly. That would have made five seasons about $200. But almost $370? I'll have to think on this. Maybe one season a month which works out to be even MORE but not as big a hit on the wallet at one time.

Dragon Flight and Dragon Quest were great. The White Dragon was darn fine as well but she went towards tech. errrrghhhh Dragon Song, Dragon Singer, and Dragon Drums are my favorites I think. She went whacko though on Moreta's Ride. Very depressing. Plus too much backtiming. Has Anne passed on? I recently read that her son has a book in the works that is going to concentrate more on watchwhers. Watchwhers are much underrated in my opinion. I'm rambling now. I'll quit.

I don't watch all that much television. This is the sort of qualifying that makes harsh statements less hurtful. quote:but it burns me up when I hear people say "Better you than me", cause that lets me know that they are a nobody, a coward,That also shows selfishness. quote: and a mistake I am sorta mad at that part of your statement. quote:I respect those who have legitamate reasons (like being marreide and having a kid, or having some type of disability) for not joiningThank you. quote:Sorry if my comments sound kinda rudeI think you did just fine. quote:Deepfreeze, before i say anything more. Your above post was perfectly fine. Keep it just that way. -
Sho and I thought we should do an entire fleet roll call. Who is still hanging around? To my guys: WeeGee: you're just flat out bent. Don't scare El Che like that. Cruis. In: I'm about ready to start on the boat. Come on and get finger printed. It'll be good for ya! Pugwash: Methinks I have a wolf in sheep's clothing. Dreadx: Hope everything ok at work. Finder1: How long have you put up with me? Hee hee. Thanks again all.

April Balor-Bishamon Fleets Combined Rollcall
Charles Lindsey replied to ShoHashi's topic in Insurgent Fleets
Ok another hour to go. I'm central time. In the meantime I have decided to go ahead and update my PC Cillin software that came with my motherboard. It seems to work. I haven't gotten anything yet. I did that one time I turned everything off but I forget if it was this machine or the former one. Erggh my swiss cheese memory. But at $19.95 for the upgrade it's cheaper than a standalone version of anything else for now. So I'm just passing the time at a blazing 2.83 kbs. I REALLY need to get cable. Hey! After two years of waiting I got my last merit raise finally. I'm topped out now and have to hope for cost of living raises now but it turned out to be an extra ~$50 a paycheck or ~$100 a month. That should pay for cable modem. HMMMMMMM -

quote:those are lablesObviously. Didn't answer my question though. I only wanted the factoid, not research. But research I did. I found this definition of interference quote:2) INTERFERENCE: ANY UNWANTED RADIO FREQUENCY SIGNAL THAT PREVENTS YOU FROM WATCHING TELEVISION, LISTENING TO YOUR RADIO OR STEREO, OR TALKING ON YOUR TELEPHONE Background Interference is any unwanted radio frequency signal that prevents you from watching television, listening to your radio or stereo, or talking on your telephone. Interference may prevent reception altogether, may cause only a temporary loss of a signal, or may affect the quality of the sound or picture produced by your equipment.in two places so that must be the accepted FCC definition of interference. I also found this. quote:The Commission's rules require private land mobile radio station licensees to take ``reasonable precautions to avoid causing harmful interference. This includes monitoring the transmitting frequency for communications in progress and such other measures as may be necessary to minimize the potential for causing interference.'' 47 C.F.R.§ 90.403(e). My "boom box" has the first warning as does my newer 27" television however an ancient 13" color does not. Another factoid learned. quote:Gore invented NOTHING..THANK YOU!!! That's the point I was making. He was careful to use the word create but it got all out of proportion. quote:he only help impliment what was already invented.Which is probably what he meant but phrased it very poorly. I'll certainly admit that much. -

Been reading about it on Yahoo message boards for weeks. Was waiting on ya'll to pick it up. hehe Some people theorize that it was a protest to the war. That's right. A protest. The thinking is that if you want to start a war let's see how you like it if YOUR (meaning the politician's) kids would have to serve. I don't particularly agree with that thinking but it's out there. I am against conscription into to the armed forces for an odd reason. It's not that I don't like war, I don't. It's because so many kids nowadays are diagnosed with ADD, ADHD, Bipolar disorder, and who knows what else that they have been on drugs since they were six. Do we really want all these crazies knowing how to operate weapons? At least now with volunteers the ones who are crazy get kicked back. Hopefully. I wonder about Jag though. So my reasoning is this; if all these crazies know how to operate weapons what's the first thing they are going to turn to when they go off the deep end? -
Bump Somebody mentioned a war stories thread and I remembered this was being used for that. I enjoy reading them. I like "Humor in Uniform" in Reader's Digest but that's about as close as I want to get to the military.

Interesting discussion. PArt of what Jag said made me remember something. What's that warning you see on various devices "This device is a class such and such device. This device must not cause any interference with x but must accept any interference it receives"? I always thought it was to protect television signals. Gotta keep the masses numb ya know? Does it mean something else and I'm just extremely naive on the subject? -

quote:Ummm... they have a recording of Gore:Ummm... where, pray tell, is the word "invent" in that quote? Creating and inventing are two different things. That is the Urban Myth. That he claimed to have invented the internet. http://www.truthorfiction.com/rumors/g/goreinternet.htm He did try to take credit for the camcorder though. quote:This new Broadband will be Broadband over powerlines, which we have EVERYWHERESo THAT'S why that spammer keeps posting on Yahoo. Trying to drum up business for his fake broadband over powerline deal. Otherwise that's good news. quote:the HF bands will be dead because of the Broadband over powerlines. That's gotta be disappointing. Bet they go for the "greater good". -
Have you seen the new Citibank ad with the guy sitting on the riding lawnmower? Hilarious! Almost as good as the first. The guys seem to impersonate the gals better than the gals impersonate the guys.

Not to go political right off BUT quote:Gore claims he invented it Yeah Urban Myth. Various news sources and truthorfiction.com say Gore was on the Commission that approved the internet. Or something like that. They all state that he himself never claimed to have invented the internet. There is an old thread around here somewhere that DragonLady participated in. The topic of discussion was whether the gov should subsidize broadband for everybody or at least the rural regions. At the time I supported it but with ever increasing tech it may not be needed. -

Patriot Act : Reality Check

I wouldn't think it was a walk in the park. Even with the TV ( a form of crowd control) just not being able to leave would ruin me. I have experience using work detail inmates. They aren't real happy campers. -
I thought about doing the University of Phoenix thing. Dunno how respected they are. No way I can go to school in town what with the animals and all. The UOP thing still takes four years though. Just teach me to be a network admin and I'll rollover into the IT dept and fix pc's. I like fixing things.

quote:You guys continue to amaze me, you clearly have no clue WHAT I'm talking about or what I mean.(and yes you guys don't know what I mean, in that case ASK ME instead of drawing a false conclusion)And once you realize you are being misinterpreted you should back up and redefine your argument. You did that and got a nice (I thought so at least) response from White Wolf. Deep Freeze did use a bit of sarcasm but I don't think he bashed you. Arguing about the argument is getting a bit usenet so thank you Kalshion for defining your complaint better and let's move on. I said somewhere in another thread (which isn't worth quoting or finding) that I like the idea of getting bad guys but using Deep Freeze respones to Kalshion sometimes the universe conspires against you. Wrong place at the wrong time kinda thing. OOOHHHH here is one for you Kalshion. Not bashing I promise. When I was 16 my first job was at a theatre. Consolidated to be exact. I don't know if they are still around or not. Southern powerhouse Cobb (now Carmike) ran them out of town. Anyway, one evening after the last show or my shift ended I heard what I would have sworn was a cat fight. I looked up to see a woman getting her purse snatched. She fought like the dickens for it but lost. I stood dumbfounded while the guy got away. I know he was was a black guy because he was black and he had an afro (they weren't quite out of style yet. Heaven forbid they come back). However the parking lot had no lights (perhaps it was after the last show and they were turned off) so I really couldn't tell any distinguishing features. I asked her if she wanted me to call the sheriff to which she said yes. So I did. He got my report but I was never asked to identify anyone. I couldn't have if I tried. What then? If the police had had to rely on my testimony the man would have gotten off scot free. On the other hand I didn't send an innocent man to jail. -
quote:Now days there seems to only be three type of shows on the air the sitcom (Friends & Fraiser) the soap opera (any rescent startrek serries) and the reality show (and the not so reality show - fear factor)You forgot sports. I got hooked on General Hospital my senior year but haven't watched them since. I LIKE reality shows because they are like, real. No hidden morality plays inside like 7TH Heaven (which I liked for a while) or even Star Trek (which I still like). I watch the reality shows and that's about it. My rabbit ears don't get good reception so my mother tapes them for me and I watch them again over the weekend. I bought Firefly from Amazon.com. Neat show. I am tempted to go for BAbylon 5. I loved the first few seasons but lost interest after a while.
