The cheapest, dumbest, weakest missle is not, say, 10 times cheaper than the most expensive, smartest, strongest missile. Ten of the cheapies do not equal one of the fancies. There are a variety of fighters and capital ships as well. Each has its own strengths and weaknesses (speed; pitch, roll, yaw; turret sweet spot; number of turrets; etc.) and they do not necessarily offset each other in any way shape or form. Go read (I'm sure you have but for the benefit of others) the Favorite ship thread in the fun stuff forum. Some people like the faster ship even though it is a bit weaker. Some people like those lumbering slugs because of the firepower. Pilots and marines start out at a skill level (intelligence factor) and learn and grow as they do stuff. The AG (auto generated) pilots also have certain skill levels. You might come up against an Ace in the best fighter and just not be abel to kill him. But unlike your BF 1942 scenario you described there is no secret to killing him. You don't have to have the one super best missile there is and nothing else will do. There is an overall balance to the game but it's not this ship equals three of those or it takes exactly ten or more marines to kill that missile launcher but nine just won't do sort of thing. Skill is a factor. You do have to know how to use that particular ship you have chosen and strategize. Going in hell bent for leather guns a'blazin' often won't do. Hope that helps. (Looks down nose) We are not snobs. Just elitists. Derek has worked on "balance" for a long time but I'm not sure if it's balanced the way YOU think it should be balanced. An unarmed transport cannot take on a Stormcarrier. No balance there. A lone marine cannot take out a starbase. No balance there. But with careful utilization of assets you should have fun. If by anomaly you mean things listed in the VCF as fixed then it is almost a useless question. To count them Derek would have to know about them. If Derek knows about them he fixes them rendering it no longer an anomoly then the count becomes moot. Hope that helps some.

Singe in English is to burn or crisp. If you stand to close to a fire you can singe your hair. The grill was too hot and I singed the chicken. So the play on words is that Derek is going to singe (burn or crisp) competing games.

Yup, internal organs is definite gore. And this is going to be gross but I've seen dead animals on the side of the road (we kill a lotta possums down here) with more meat hanging out of them than some of those dismembered bodies which were hidden in the shadows for the most part. I was dissappointed you never really got a good look at the werewolves. Seemed a lot like Aliens in that respect. A good story should flow as a languid river in my opinion. As you add more elements, whether it be characters, additional info, conflicts, or subplots the river should gain breadth, depth, or speed correspondingly. This movie is like one of those fountains with multiple bowls. The little boy (or girl) is pouring the water into the first bowl (the first action scene) and the water wallows around in that for a bit before descending a short waterfall (storyline, info) into the next big bowl. Derek is right, if you don't pay attention you'll miss it but it seemed to me the bowls were too deep and the waterfalls too short. Just one "reviewer's" opinion. I'm not knocking the movie too terribly bad but it wasn't quite up there with Blade or The Matrix.

Dunno, Maybe I'm in a weird mood but it seemed they hung the story on action scenes. It wasn't quite coherent enough for me. They built it up nice while feeding you bits and peices of the story but it just didn't quite hang together well. Still a good movie. Gore? Please. Knife wounds that drip blood. The powerful werewolf was able to expel some silver bullets. The werewolf doctor pulling the ninja star things out of the big black guy. Maybe I'm just not squeamish. The worst part was at the end. 7.5/10 (pass the flame retardent suit please)

It's exciting because the Pentium 64 is not supposed to be backwards compatible I.E. it WILL NOT run 32 bit apps. The blurb in the newsletter I got said "AMD skunks Intel" meaning they trumped them (for those that play cards) or beat them to the punch in a much better way. I think drivers haven't kept up because "they" (OEM's) didn't think the AMD 64 would come about so they are sort of caught with their collective pants down. And here is the article where Tovalds say they (SCO) are smoking crack.

I feel really dumb. I misread your post and here I been thinking you were going after your electrician's card. Better than plumbing because you don't have to play in poo but then again you can get killed being an electrician. Same old same old here. Just cut over $40,000 in requisitions for various sundries.
