As for the other statement I often feel the gov't is like a mean old parent and does "what's good for you" whether you (america) wants it or not. Just trust them. But in this case most do want it. 60% or so favor a war if the question is generic. Start getting specific and things start changing though.

Quite interesting developments. For some of the veto holding members of the UN to tell the USA "hold up wait a minute; let's look at this" is fine. But, for Turkey to ask for help as provided for in the NATO agreement (right?) and have the decision for help and/or a review held up is something else entirely. Turkey is sitting there quietly supporting the US against Iraq. Of Course Turkey is worried about a retaliatory strike against them. Now Turkey calls on NATO to defend Turkey per the agreement and other countries (specifically France) suddenly hedge on the agreement. Do I have this right?

Quite humorous. Terry Pratchett has some good funny stuff too. David Eddings Belgariad is good. Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time is good but some are complaining he's taking too long. Book Ten is out right now.

Perhaps it was improperly presented to the media and/or public or perhaps the Democrats got in a really good counter argument but the perception is there that it is a tax break only for the rich. That's part three of the argument by the way. The perception of said tax break. I doubt I will change your mind but perhaps you will see my point. That's the other thing about the Yahoo boards. I am detatched enough to see when either side has a good point. I am against going into Iraq like cowboys but Bush did have a good point when he asked where all that other stuff went. (Anthrax and VX gas and stuff.) I can do that with this argument. You Steve are probably (hopefully) right when you say that it takes tons of well performing stock paying dividends to actually get any appreciable revenue from it. So this tax break probably won't be a drop in the bucket in the grand scheme of things. Then again maybe so. I'm not interested enough to go seeing if those numbers are around anywhere. That was cool. I would suggest the single page view. The most exciting thing to me was the polymer nano solar cells. I would love to solarize (?) my house. Generating my own power would take some of the load off the power plant resulting in lower emissions. I would also save money. Double whammy. Gotta love it. You could paint a hybrid car with the stuff maybe and on a bright day it would be nearly self sufficient also reducing the load on power plants.
