yes, that's right. Thanks for signing up at bcfleets.net, Marc and Prez, your invites have been sent. Prez, I'd still like to hear your availability times, as much as you can tell me. Jack, you still need to go and sign up to bcfleets.net so I can invite you to the team.

Here's one old timer glad to hear from another. You get that old heap o' junk out of mothball pronto, ya hear? In the meantime, don't you worry about Centris. ISS has a whole flight group from Defence Wing's tactical support arm stationed around there, supporting what's left of Orion's Alpha Centauri contingent.

No, they are selling their leftover stocks of an existing item (UC), only mislabelled as AWA. Someone should definitely correct them on that.
-
That's not A World Apart, that's UC mislabelled in the Amazon database.

Hi guys, The league table and stats module have been moved to the new all-fleets hub at http://www.bcfleets.net Please create an account there and I will invite you to the team. Please check here frequently, and for those of you who haven't yet, post your general availability times here so we can start issuing some team challenges. While I've got your attention, go and issue some duel challenges for this month Let's go show 'em what were made of!

3000AD Fleet League Duel Challenges here!
Ben Zwycky replied to Ben Zwycky's topic in General Multiplayer Fleet Discussions
aha. Sorry for the confusion. All our teams are password-protected and are formed by invitation only, so all team members have passed the required training level by default, so it didn't occur to me that your teams don't work the same way. -

you're not registered in Team Alpha Wing at www.galcom.net. That is required before you can take part in league activities, since only official team members have their stats recorded in the individual stats table. -
there is already a thread for this here and the download is 541MB

3000AD Fleet League Duel Challenges here!

Well, this puts Chavik top of the individual standings table by virtue of destroying a higher value asset than me. Congratulations, Chavik, we'll see how long you can stay up there. Next challenge, please! Casey, you can't take part in an official duel challenge until you join an official fleet MP team (which you haven't, last time I looked). Firestar, you want one last try to get our duel in today before the end of the month? I'm available from about 1pm GMT for half an hour if your up for it (If I see you on a server or in the game lobby before then, we can have our duel as soon as I can get on your server). Any cruiser or carrier, but no cloaking, agreed? -

The log is not so important for a duel, since the scoring is very simple. As long as both parties agree on the ship types used and the victor, there's no need to fall back to the log for verification. In the future we should try and have a third party present for duels to ensure a neutral point of view (and complete chat log for submission). I.e. when a duel time is agreed here, one other league player (ideally a fleet staff member of some kind) should volunteer to observe. This rule can be waived if the agreed time for the two duelling players is very difficult for anyone else to make (e.g. weekday morning/noon GMT) Agreed? I'll update the table tomorrow- we have visitors tonight. -
The ISS logo on teh first page was messed up. (it didn't like having a jpeg there, sop I replaced it with the indexed gif I used at the end of the document) I have corrected that and reuploaded the file.

What craft were you both in (for scoring and stats keeping purposes)? -
It is with great pleasure that I officially release the ISS Fleet Charter (it's a really big file because I wanted it to look good.) Read and respond, on pain of industrial waste transporting duty

Sorry I couldn't get back fast enough, firestar. I'm in the MP game lobby right now if you're still around, otherwise same time tomorrow? -

Excellent. Well, we could do it right after lunchtime my time, which would be 11:30pm-12:30pm GMT, when my boys are usually in bed. Cruisers only? -
We use it for voice comms during matches and training sessions (just start it up and leave it running when you start the game) Usually people agree on a time to meet there, otherwise it's pot luck whether you meet anyone, as some fleets have their own seperate teamspeak channel I'm on the fleet teamspeak channel right now, btw.

You've obviously been going to all the wrong funerals Most of the Christian funerals that I have been to were celebrations of a life well spent, and the only sadness we feel is the same as when a close friend moves away to a distant country- we simply miss their company. I also much prefer unanswered questions to dogmatic deceptions, and am well aware of my limited capacity on many issues. I find the ID/Evolution debate irrelevant to my life, but occassionally interesting.

basically you can start issuing and accepting duel challenges in this thread (challenge one other player to an official duel that will be scored in the individual player score table, 2500 EP and 250 ranking points plus the value of the destroyed asset for the winner, no penalty for the loser). Also, your team captain can begin issuing and accepting team challenges using one of the match formats listed at the end of the MP handbook (The Death Match would be the simplest match type to start with, and you can move on to more advanced match types later on). However, before you can issue or accept challenges, it would be very helpful to state the times when you are generally available to play online. This is important for duel challenges, since it lets other people know whether they can find a compatible time to challenge you, but it is most important for your team, as you will have to co-ordinate the times that enough of you can make to constitute a valid team (2 is the absolute minimum, less than 2 team members turning up to a match equals a forfeited match, but it's best to have as many as possible, since being short-handed compared to the other team will make things more difficult for you.) Any more specific questions?

Congrats, Jag, may he/she bring another dimension of richness to your family. I'm doing my best to catch up with you, my wife's pregnant with our third. *dodges barrage of popping corks*

You can't use probes in MP, and yes, NPC's occasionally do that. I look forward to providing you with human opposition in the near future (that's a whole different ballgame)
-
no, that error message usually means either the server is temporarily down, or internet traffic as a whole is too congested. I was having the same problem yesterday, but no problems today. The user password is whatever you choose when you register on the server (which you will need to access anonymously first using the server password)

So who's up for a challenge this Saturday from 6-8pm GMT or this Sunday from 7-9pm GMT (the clocks change between Saturday and Sunday, at least over here)? -
Yeah, I've been following the site off and on ever since I saw this thread, my wife and I are both big fans of the series and are really looking forward to this one.
