  1. If you need any help with the team management procedure, PM me or Remo.
  2. Well, since no-one else finished their sets, it was decided at yesterday's fleet meeting to go with this set (though whether to use the extra 'Combat shield with bar' idea in some way was not decided (it probably won't be). I hope you all feel this an acceptable default choice, and would be proud to wear any one of them on your dress uniform. The Fleet League will be restarting very soon- get ready.
  3. Your food orders were made on an unencrypted frequency. We have listening posts all over the place, you know
  4. Well, Marv, if you go into the psi-deck and have a session on the Q setting, you can have the trout jump out of the water and smack your intended victim without lifting a finger . As part of the launch ceremony, All galcom fleet staff and above have been given an executive all-inclusive pass to the plaza with 24 hours of credit (which normally costs 2000 galcreds), meaning you can go anywhere and try out anything in the Plaza for free (including sampling absolutely any of the menu items on offer, and accessing the executive ring). Using this pass you can visit the Plaza for free any number of times to use up your 24 hours of credit, e.g. 8 3-hour visits or 4 6-hour visits. So, you can get your earthen-oven-baked mushroom and artichoke Calzone after all, and free to boot In addition, all ISS non-staff members (those below level 5) have been given a non-executive all-inclusive pass with 24 hours of credit (which normally costs 1600 galcreds), giving them access to all facilities (including all items on the food and drink menu, but not including the executive rings) for 24 hours at no charge. 100-hour non-executive passes can be bought for 5000 galcreds (executive passes 6000), or can be awarded to ISS Fleet members for an admirable performance in the line of duty, along with the appropriate medal. 200-hour passes cost 9500 (executive 11500), and 500-hour passes cost 22000 (executive 26500). Diplomatic passes work in the same way as executive passes and have no time limit attached to them (they are paid for out of the fleets diplomacy budget), but become invalid as soon as the official diplomatic visit is over. If you are going to make a short one-off visit to the plaza, it is better to just pay individually for what you use.
  5. The waiting is over- Was it worth the hype?
  6. oh, that's because you're playing BCM, and Wraith station is in Rinaal in the Cyrian region, 13 jumps away from Earth. Wraith Station was moved to Lyrius in Sirius in UC, which is much closer.
  7. OK, I'll send you a list in the next couple of days (we're still working on our charter and in the final stages of discussing our rp structure)
  8. Your first guess was the closest so far...
  9. We have some military bases there no doubt, but no starbases, indicating control/ownership of the planet, or stations indicating control/ownership of the region, along with strong indicators of hostile control. I'm not disputing that we are by far the dominant force in the Terran Quadrant, but the phrase 'owns every star system' implies that there are no opposing forces in control of any star system in the quadrant, which is not the case. According to the manual appendix> launch bases, the only stations and starbases in Barnard's star are raider or Insurgent, and the same goes for Tau Ceti. ISS HQ is in Saturn, we never had any station in Tau Ceti. Using the sort feature in the Launch bases page of the Appendix for all stations and starbases in the Tau Ceti system gives us the following results: In Arima- Starlight station(Insurgent) and no starbase In Eori- Quanticon Station (Insurgent) and 1 Insurgent Starbase on the planet In Xylan- no station , mixed raider starbase on the planet. For Barnard's Star: In Sygan, Syganstar Station (Insurgent) and an Insurgent Starbase on the planet In Zilon, Idan Starstation (Raider) and no starbase on the planet Also, the only two ways in to Barnard's star are both occupied by the Insurgents (Fluxfield 5 leads straight into Sygan and Lennen contains Borealis Station (Insurgent) and no starbase on the planet. If you meant that we do not recognise the occupations of Barnard's Star and Tau Ceti by raiders and Insurgents as legitimate, then I fully agree with you on that one. We have jurisdiction over every star system in the Terran Quadrant, we just don't have control over those regions, yet SC's been giving the Insurgents more stations again, an extra three since UC, all in the Terran Quadrant (that makes 9 Terran Insurgent Stations in total (6 in the terran Quadrant), 3 Starbases and a Naval Base in the Terran Quadrant, compared to 7 Terran Military Stations, 2 Starbases and a Naval base). Given that the Empirian and Vesperon Military are not hostile to the Insurgents, we have our work cut out for us . Kinda makes you wonder if there's an Insurgent mole in SC's office... It was the joint control/station ownership statements that made me , along with Wraith seemingly described as not having a station in MP. ISS having a prescence at all Galcom stations (as do all the other Galcom fleets) is clear and agreed. It's all good [rp] Let's just get working togehter to those Insurgents and Raiders out of our quadrant, then we can finally in peace [/rp]
  10. No, Earth>Wraith is 2 jumps (Earth>Jupiter>Lyrius)
  11. Looks very nice, but I don't have that font so the pages are a little messed up for me when I view it, but that's irrelevant. A couple of things struck me as I read through sections 4b and 4c: quote: Within the Homeworld galaxy, GALCOM currently owns every star system in the Terran quadrantand quote: In the Terran Quadrant, Prime has control over the following sectors: Sol, Sirus, Barnards Star, Polaris and Procyon.I'm not sure the Insurgents in Lennen, Sygan, Nevuela, Arima, Eori and Midae or the raiders in Zilon (UC:AWA galaxy) would agree with that Galcom doesn't own any stations or starbases (indicating control of the region) in Tau Ceti or Barnard's Star (nothing but raiders and insurgents), both of which are in the Terran Quadrant. quote: Orion and ISS also jointly control two starstations in the virtual galaxy: Victory, orbiting the planet Somaris, and Eterna, in the Neutral Zone. This comes as news to me. I thought the arrangement was Prime owns Paladian station in Procon, Orion has Victory in Somaris, ISS has Guardstar in Junae, and Wraith has Eterna in the Neutral Zone. Was this changed recently?
  12. Nah, that'd be boring. The construction area is cylindrical in shape, approximately 320 metres in diameter and 21 metres high, spread across the central section of 7 station decks (I assume each station deck is 3m high), so not that big compared to the amount of real estate in ISS HQ (according to the appendix it's 5km high and 24km in diameter, so this space could fit just about anywhere inside the station's superstructure without obstructing the normal flow of traffic within the station that much, and would comfortably fit inside the main central ÔÇÿspikeÔÇÖ column of ISS HQ, being a type 1 station, and be dwarfed by the central section of Guardstar Station in Junae, being a type 8.) The grand unveiling will be in a couple of days, to build some interest. Anyone else is free to guess in the meantime, but those high up in ISS may already have some idea (but only if they've been paying very close attention )
  13. If a fast hyperdrive and top speed is important to you (i.e. you want to navigate around the galaxy relatively quickly and hope to arrive at the battle before it's over more often than not), then go for the Violon, even though it's shields and guns are a lot weaker than the Megaron's. For all round awesomeness, though, the Megaron is hard to beat.
  14. Yeah, the Solnar is my favourite in UC, too- good guns, good shuttles, good shields (for a heavy cruiser anyway) good hyperdrive, good turrets, pretty good manouverability- pretty solid all round.
  15. The sounds of major construction work deep in the heart of ISS HQ have long since died down, but none of its members are any the wiser as to what has been built. Some have seen strange major shipments entering the construction zone but not coming out again. Colossal numbers of computer components, very unusual heating and cooling devices, and even containers holding organic matter have been reported. Rumours abound as to the nature of the great project. Is it to be some great codebreaking computer? A biological weapons research facility? A new form of interrogation centre? "All will be revealed very soon", assures ISSÔÇÖs enigmatic fleet leader. "You will not be disappointed, I assure you."
  16. All current active members of ISS please read and respond to this thread If you cannot read that thread that either means you're not an active enough member of our fleet in the fleet (you need Level 3 clearance to view it) or there has been a technical error, which you will need to draw our attention to here.
  17. Stay safe out there.
  18. Well, that hasn't happened the last couple of months, so maybe this is instead of last month's meeting?
  19. I'll be there. Could you send me the new MP/RP handbook/ scoring system you're using, Remo? I'd like to keep ours compatible. I'm nearly done with our full RP structure.
  20. you never know
  21. Well I saw six, but I'm a proof reader by profession, making me unusually sensitive to prepositions and the particulars of the English language, especially with the subject title you gave. I guess it would have been better to have a few empty lines before the answer is given so that it's not on the same screen as the test, since when I opened the thread, the answer was in the middle of the screen, spoiling the test.
  22. Look for the file named settings file in your game installation directory, and look at the game version entry. It should say version=1.00.06. If it doesn't, then something went wrong with your patching
  23. I check our new recruits list almost every day, I hadn't looked at the other fleets.
  24. Ristar is there, second from the bottom. Did you read carefully?
