  1. I don't drink.
  2. Looks like the hackers have found a new "cool" thing to do. If leaking code becomes more rampant I beleive that it's going to be the last straw for the computer gaming industry...
  3. I agree. That is why a network security admin is one of the highest paid professions out there....it's only going to get worse too.
  4. Maybe it's a new type of coffee maker... Actually, I found this... http://www.pcstats.com/articleview.cfm?articleID=908 http://www.s3graphics.com/DeltaChromeFeatureDescription.html Maybe that'll shed some light on the subject...
  5. I'm very eager to play that Pirates of the Burning Seas game. I've been following that one too.
  6. Resnig's home computer broke the day before the probe launched...he figured the probe could do without a few of it's circuit boards he needed to fix his home computer with...upon entering Mars orbit the probe's AI made it beleive it was a baked potato. So I've just singlehandedly solved the mystery....
  7. For the record, Planetside is still a resource hog. But to answer your question, my guess, is that the SC has optimized the code of the game to allow it to require less memory. He will be able to better answer this question better than I though of course...
  8. I couldn't find this thread started anywhere else. I'm shocked and I'm hoping that I just missed it. Just in case....Happy New Year folks...
  9. http://ifh.firstones.com/ That is supposed to be the home page for the game but it's not up at the moment. www.firstones.com They are the folks responsible as far as I can tell.
  10. Within a week of New Years? :taps Jaguar on the shoulder and then shows him a calendar:
  11. I haven't had a chance to DL it yet but I hear this game is pretty neat. I hear the physics take a bit of getting used to. I plan on grabbing it tonight when I get home from work but if someone gets it before me, let us know how this game is. http://www.gamershell.com/news_FreeGameBBa...n5IHaveFo.shtml
  12. Ewww, a new and improved board design. Has anyone seen the Truman show? The last scene with the security guards when they realize the show is over and that they have nothing else to do. Yeah, I'll admit it, when I tried to get on the forums this morning and it said, "Down for maintenance" I looked around my office and wasn't sure how to proceed. :snickers: My name is Bandus, and I'm an addict. But seriously, new design looks good SC, I like it. [ 01-02-2004, 06:58 AM: Message edited by: Supreme Cmdr ]
  13. I. Got. Clothes. :folds his arms: :pushes over his Christmas tree: Holiday's over. :grins: Seriously though, Christmas was awesome. I really don't even care for presents anymore. We had most of my family over and it was nice just seeing everyone again....
  14. I too was wondering about motives. From what I hear/read, you never did anything to him SC.... What the hell is his issue? Did you offend him in a past life or something? :Grins:
  15. So basically the stupidest, most immature, SOB on the face of God's Earth?
  16. I was actually shocked by this movie. I thought that Tom Cruise was really going to screw this part up for some reason. I went to the movie, against seeing it. When I got out I was gawking at how good it was. I give this movie an 9/10. The story was superb, the settings believable, the acting first-rate. I definetly recommend this movie. If you liked Braveheart or the like, you'll definetly be liking this.
  17. Scrivener quote:It's part of being an ex-english major+film/graphic arts student who reads too many books and sees too many moviesThat explain a lot though and I can understand why'd you'd catch those. Sometimes it can be a pain in the butt to have "trained" eyes though I imagine. quote:I can also predict most stories with unnatural clairvoyant accuracy. A side effect of reading a book a week since age 7. This has made me bitter and elitistHehe, I hear that. I have to really work at making my brain stop thinking while watching a movie or else I'll sit there and try to predict it. I've read books all my life too so I know what you mean there. It sometimes seems like all movies have the same ending in a way... quote:Yeah, I'm jaded and I hate everything, so take my reviews with that grain of salt. Earlier I said I would hate it if I picked movies apart like that....but....I think I just picked your post apart. I'm going to go sit down now. :grins:
  18. Merry Christmas. May your holiday be filled with cheer, happiness, and food. For all of those that feel lonely this Christmas season, my prayers go out to you.
  19. The world is falling down around the SC and he still finds time to post this. :grins: SC, you rock! Thanks for posting this because let me tell you, I was a breath away from buying one of these for Christmas....
  20. Scrivener While I will absolutely respect your opinion of the movie, if you were watching close enough to see down Froddo's shirt, I think you were focusing on the wrong part of the movie..... I go to the movies to enjoy what people invest years into making. Not to pick it apart. Not to insult you, but I'm glad I don't see movies like you do. I'd never be able to enjoy myself.
  21. ROFL! That page for Bill Huffman is classic all time.
  22. SC, I missed the whole Take2 disaster. I'm here for this one though. Not that you need reminding, but let me just say this: Your daughter and you are #1. DC can piss off because frankly you don't need them, they need you. I gladly second Emmett in saying than I damn sure behind you in this 100 percent. Fight these twits till the bitter end.
  23. Ok. Now. Let me tell you my backstory first. I decided to go to an 11:15PM showing of LOTR:RotK. I anticipated the showing letting out at 2:30AM. No biggie. Half way through the movie the projector breaks down! I didn't leave the movie until 4:00AM and I had to be at 7:00AM. I am typing this at 10:15AM, and I'm probably going to fall asleep. Now, as hellish as that sounds. I have to say that it's NEVER in my life been more worth it. This was an OUTSTANDING ending to a great trilogy. I was very impressed with yet another awesome soundtrack, awesome scenery, and awesome storyline. It strayed from the books quite blatantly again but it really was great. I highly recommend this movie and it most definetly gets a 10/10. Go see this movie as soon as you can. You won't be disappointed.
  24. I tend to agree with the rest of the people here. It seems they are giving you an opportunity to solve the problem. While I don't recommend resorting to violence right away, remember your playing with the rest of your life/career. IMHO, I'd talk with the guys and tell them to either shape up or drop the class. Give them a concise ultimatum and if they do not conform, all bets are off. Blanket party away...
  25. While I will admit flat out that the first version had some bugs that caused CTDs and large save games on certain users computers, the general consensus is that the patch they've just released (version 1.1) has fixed pretty much all those problems. Still a very solid game.
