I've worked (used) a computer running Microsoft Longhorn and at this point in time it's worth about $1.38. I wouldn't worry that it's already on the market because it's still very buggy and it runs slower than molasses.

Technically, if you bought the game, and then downloaded a copy of it, then you destroyed the original media when it arrives you'd still be legal.. :grins:

I watched one of those "Inside Scoop" things on the new Battlestar Galactica and I'm thinking it may not be as bad as I first thought. I for one am going to give it a chance, the first couple of episodes will tell the tale...

I think that it's plain and simple someone looking to make some money. Or it's someone who is extremely ignorant. Granted, they were enslaved not to long ago, that does not mean we should have to hear about it for the rest of time. Build a bridge, get over it. It's a computer term, not even close to a slave in the derogatory sense..

That seems somewhat fishy to me as well. It seems to me that more likely than not the computer would have a dynamic IP address. Even if it were a static IP he'd have to log into the Wells & Fargo network to be assigned it, right? Something just seems...off...with that story.

The game looks really interesting and promising but so far the release has been a complete cluster.... EB games thinks the game isn't even out yet but I know for a fact a buddy of mine is playing it as I type this. It's been really interesting and I hope the patch releases go smoother than this has...

It's hard to say how any computer react with any given number of ships on the screen at one time. There are tons of variables that go way beyond your memory, processor, and video card. Ultimate requirements is a computer that most people only can dream of. My example of an ultimate requirement computer would be an Alienware computer that costs around $5,000. That system would cause the lights in your house to dim when you turned it on and you'd probably have to get a nuclear reactor installed under your house. If you only spend $3,000 on your computer, your probably in the recommend requirements bracket. If you spent $3,000 on your computer, 2 years ago, your probably in the minimum requirements bracket. Anything other than that and your on your own...
