  1. Thanks Vorpal. The irony of the situation is that I checked the 3dFx website arlier today and there was no mention of any new drivers Will download all and post the results there of. TTFN
  2. Welcome to our nightmare To answer your question as to why I anticipate BCM so much...remember that selection of the pull-down tab that states, All the Above!? That is what I look forward to when BCM is released Actually the thing I look most forward to is getting Tac in a M/P session and implementing A DE Deconstruction process on his Battlecruiser or whatever it is he be driving. Then again there are several members of this forum that I have visioned in the same situation, but then again there are some that wish to attempt the same thing on me Wonder who/whom that would be? Nothing personal Tac - just a whim that I have is all. TTFN ------------------ Commander Gallion GCV Graf Spee *1st Squadron, *Corsair Wing Stationed, *Starbase Cerberus "Run Silent, Run Deep" ICQ# 29486270, EST (GMT-5) =Wraith Fleet= Second in Command, Wraith Fleet Bushi of the Dragon Council [This message has been edited by Gallion (edited 07-21-2000).]
  3. [rp] 2000, March 15, 3008 Undetermined Location, Gammulan Quadrant The Handler was nervous. Lack of information and current status of the Operation made the Gammulan War Council member nervous and on edge. He had already terminated the existence of two brearers of bad news. A third awaited his attention outside his chamber door. The offensive was bogged down in Lydon. Wraith Fleet resistance in Lydon was stronger and more effective than pre-offensive intelligence estimates. Then the unexpected Mandorian entry into the fray put yet another damper into the offensive. Gammulan Warships remaining in the Gammulan Quadrant that can be spared were in the process of redeployment to Lydon. Then there was the HandlerÔÇÖs Operation that could be key to the offensiveÔÇÖs success. Elimination of the target would seriously hamper the Terran defense in Lydon and in Sol. Although the Operation was not crucial to the Gammulan offensive effort, it was an unknown radical that could determine the outcome of future Gammulan endeavors. The Handler decided to quit worrying about what he could not directly control and signel the waiting messenger to enter his chamber. A nervous young Gammulan errand-boy entered the War Council memberÔÇÖs chamber and waited patiently for the occupantÔÇÖs attention. With any luck, the messenger would survive this delivery but for some reason, the messenger did not think he would as the HandlerÔÇÖs attention focused on him and the message he held in his handsÔǪ 2010, March 15, 3008 Lyndon, Krydon Fleet Commander Londono received good news for the first time since the beginning of the slaughter. GALCOM had finally responded to his warnings and cries for relief and help ÔÇô they acknowledged receipt of previous communiqu├®s. His mission was now to delay the Gammulan forces for as long his forces could and then withdraw ÔÇô read retreat by Londono ÔÇô to the Lyrius system. Lyrius would be the location of GALCOMÔÇÖs counter-offensive. Two major obstacles stood in the way of Fleet Commander LondonoÔÇÖs latest mission orders. Wraith FleetÔÇÖs remaining strength andÔǪ Getting what remained of his Fleet through the Insurgent stronghold in Antis. Then there was the mission Delta Wing that continued to gnaw within his craw. History had once again repeated itself, for reason or reasons unknown, Delta Wing was once again MIA from combat. Londono didnÔÇÖt have time to worry about the missing Delta Wing; an important message waited his attention. A message that just might pull his and what little remained of Wraith Fleet out of the frying pan and fire that Lyrius had become. The Kandorians were about to enter the fray ... 2009, March 15, 3008 LV-103, Alpha Cygni GCV Graf Spee The Corsair masquerade was working and Gallion knew that things were going to well to be true or to last for much longer. The Graf Spee had been queried several times already be numerous Gammulan Warships heading out of Falkyrie space for places and parts unknown. Initial reports from the Humble Pie indicated that TringadÔÇÖs mission on LV-103 was on schedule and proceeding as planned. Gallion had no idea what that mission was all about. He only knew that something was up and he had a hunch that he and the Graf Spee would be needed more here than in the fracas in Lyndon. 2010, March 15, 3008 Lyndon, Krydon Bridge, GCV Shogun Fleet Commander Ristar read the incoming message from GALCOM. Wraith Fleet was to delay the Gammulans for as long as they could then execute a tactical redeployment of forces to Lyrius. Ristar saw his window of opportunity and relayed his intentions to Fleet Commander Londono. RistarÔÇÖs plan was simple. Whilst the Gammulan forces were occupied with Wraith Fleet, the Shogun would cloak and extricate from Lydon to LV-103. 2010, March 15, 3008 MedBay, GCV Shogun Hari was recovering from his wounds well and would be released from the Medbay in several hours to resume his duties aboard the GCV Shogun ÔÇô on a limited scale. Little did the cerw of the Shogun what HariÔÇÖs real duty was ÔÇô terminate the target. Patience was the virtue that Hari needed to cultivate and groom. He had all the time in the Galaxy to accomplish his mission as he began to formulate his plan. [/rp] Ok, I be back into the fray once again. 4. Thanks for the point Vorpal. I downloaded and installed this gizmo. Initial impression(s) look very promising. v-ctrl recognized my voodoo5 doll features, etc. without any hick-ups...yet Will experiment later this eve and post the results there-of TTFN
  5. Interesting read but I have to ask on question - why worry yourself about it? The government has been lying to us since its inception back in 1776. Do you really think that they (the govt.) would change? Wasted effort IMO to worry about this smack. I have physical proof that aliens are living here on earth amongst us. I gots this neighbor that is really out there.... TTFN [This message has been edited by Gallion (edited 07-20-2000).]

  11. Should've included a little about yourself there Blades. Fleet Commanders lead by example, or is that just a puff-ball title in ye sig? TTFN
  12. Hell of a way to get vondicated Rattler. Accessed Config via the bridge and experienced the same hanging black screen of death after selecting either Save or Abort. System setup specs are as Vorpals. Voodoo5 5500 set to factory defaults. Delected joystick.cfg and setup.cfg files as suggested by Rattler. Restarted and configed soundcard, etc., same hanging black screen. It seems that my voodoo doll is not syncing up to 3d after a 2d screen. Thanks Vorpal TTFN [This message has been edited by Gallion (edited 07-15-2000).]
  13. 'tis a shame IMO that one person can influence so many all becuase that one failed to read the warning label on SoF packaging. To make matters worse, this same individual bought a different product for a gamine console and was shocked at the graphic detail that results from death, destruction, and mayhem inherent to and FPS entertainment program. Flippin' Canocks went on the deep end. If a vodeo game (computer or game console) is going to be rated as Adult Material then I would like some T&A to go along with the blood and gore But then again it will not be long before some feminazi or other social conscientious objector will attempt to do the same thing this side of the border trying to use the Canock decision as a precidence. Total sorry state of affairs IMO. Pump up the blood and gore in BC:M TE SC TTFN
  14. Now that is what I call entertainment But going from Winblows to MacOs is like jumping out of the frying pan and into the fire IMO. TTFN
  15. Correct SC. Vorpal, there be nothing wrong with the saved game(s). My problem is that I cannot load a savegame via teh Restore button located at the Main Menu after starting BC3k session. If I select Continue at the Main Menu, then I get all the 3dFx Glide functionality and eye-candy When I select Restore then the game hangs in limbo and doesn't sync-up, at least that is what it looks like to me. Anyway, let me know how ye experience turns out Vorpal. Also your sys specs at setup via e-mail por-favor if ye doesn't mind. Gotta scoot, thunder and lightning heading my way TTFN
  16. Something that I did fail to mention earlier, when I installed Voodoo5-5500 (initial or reinstallations), at no time was I prompted or asked by the setup program if I wanted Glide suppoer for legacy DOS programs.
  17. SC & All, Me woes with this quirk continue to evade me best efforts to fix or rectify Used the drivers and setup as prescribed in the new FAQ SC released, did not fix my quirk. Cruised the web in search of a fix, tweek (found alot of then, not to many for my voodoo doll though), or anything that would work, to no avail. Vorpal has a V5-5500 too but hasn't told me how BC3K runs on his V5. So I am at an empasse I think. BC3K runs great in non-Glide. BC3K will also run great in 3dFx Glide mode but only if I select Contunie from the Main Menu. If I select Restore game and system hangsup in the blank screen of death, doing nothing. This all may very well caused by my ASUS P3V4X Via chipset motherboard. But then again it may very well not be either. Bottom line to all: Thanks for the effort and support. This is a quirk, 'cause other than this minor irk, my voodoo doll runs like a champ. Waiting for the Voodoo5-6000 to hit the streets - gonna get one of them too TTFN and thanks again SC and all [This message has been edited by Gallion (edited 07-13-2000).]
  18. Look at Tac's Profile (that button to the left) and send it e-mail addy there. TTFN
  19. Ye gets to spend time within the confines of various penal locations scattered about the country (US). During which, Bubba and Billy Bob will have the perpretrator hobbin' and bobbin' for the duration in incarceration. TTFN [This message has been edited by Gallion (edited 07-11-2000).]
  20. [rp] Here we go again. Someone hollering, "here I am, come and suck up to me so that maybe I'll join their fleet. Nop I not fallen fer that line on smack. So I'll just ask ye one quest Maj. Bitch, Do you feel lucky? For if ye does than talk a walk on the wild side with Wraith Fleet. And if ye don't, then watch yer six, ye just may become a target for DE Deconstruction [/rp] TTFN ------------------ Commander Gallion GCV Graf Spee *1st Squadron, *Corsair Wing Stationed, *Starbase Cerberus "Run Silent, Run Deep" ICQ# 29486270, EST (GMT-5) =Wraith Fleet= Second in Command, Wraith Fleet Bushi of the Dragon Council
  21. First, the Win9x shell thingy is not supported. Though it is great to hear that you all have had success in running it. I did not If BC ran under dos then I would suggest that ye all go back to it. Do not run Setup via the Program Menu icon. Run it using a Exporer Window or via a dos window. Run Autodect when configuring Sound setup, then accept what it finds for Sound. Select same sound card for midi. SoundBlaster or SoundBlaster 16 will work with any variation of the SBLive! cards available. Something I failed to mention earlier - I tend to configure BC3K in the software, non-eye-candy, mode before trying to get it to work in the 3dFx, eye-candy filled, mode TTFN [This message has been edited by Gallion (edited 07-11-2000).]
  22. hehehe, technology at its finest. Little do the majority of the people using the net know how easy it is to trace these types of activities. If the perpretrator knew wht it was doing then there would have been false trail(s) and what-not left about. TTFN [This message has been edited by Gallion (edited 07-10-2000).]
  23. Now that is not the way a Fleet Commander should be muttering around the troops Tac. I have full faith and confidence the the Insurgent trash will receive their just rewards and be trashed in the process once BC:M is released. Have a little faith and confidence there Tac, we will prevail TTFN ------------------ Commander Gallion GCV Graf Spee *1st Squadron, *Corsair Wing Stationed, *Starbase Cerberus "Run Silent, Run Deep" ICQ# 29486270, EST (GMT-5) =Wraith Fleet= Second in Command, Wraith Fleet Bushi of the Dragon Council
  24. quote:...This damn piece of crap made me uninstall Klingon Academy just so I could plop it on here!... hehehe, I told ye to get rid of some of that junk ye had on the ole HDD there Parias. But ye didn't have to can KA Taking into account yer legendary skill with the written prose, I will take a pass on this form of entertainment that this title, Terminus, portends to embellish. Not that I was interested anyway TTFN
  25. It will tax the old Viper 2 ShoHasi As to the cinematics, best I have seen in some time. Gameplay is good, M/P is kinda quirky but it is worth it. Why just last night I had The Necromancy lined up in me sights. I was about to give him the old what fer and unload a serious barrage up the old blind-six area, but then I gets a tele call that ruined my entire setup Entire episode resulted in a draw. The Necromancer is not an easy nut to crack, unlike Parias is BLUF - I would recommend to any to procure and enjoy. Best cap-ship simulator on the marhet until BCM release. TTFN P.S. - Yep, I be a T.A. nut too ------------------ Commander Gallion GCV Graf Spee *1st Squadron, *Corsair Wing Stationed, *Starbase Cerberus "Run Silent, Run Deep" ICQ# 29486270, EST (GMT-5) =Wraith Fleet= Second in Command, Wraith Fleet Bushi of the Dragon Council [This message has been edited by Gallion (edited 07-06-2000).]
