MP is par-excellance IMO Parias. The more BMF shiptypes in MP game the more processing power sucked up. I only have a 2ch ISDN (128k)connection where as you, Andergum, and Rattler have Cable or xDSL - and I was the host server. Not bad IMO. The lag that ye stated that ye experienced whilst chatting was due to my preoccupated attention state. I was concentrating on fragging the comp ships so my chat replies to you were delayed. All-in-all, KA is an excellent product and is in contention for those 'zines Game of the Year Award(s). This will probably change once BC:M is released. I agree with you Remo, e-signatures will expedite some transacions in the b-worls I think. Instead of FedExing documents for signature across the country and/or the world, the docs could be zipped, e-signed, and transaction complete. With the advent of this legalization along w/ handwritting recognition capabilities of software these days, maybe, just maybe the paperless office may become reality. I agree with you there SC. I am tickled pink with my Voodoo5 doll. With the exception to one annoying quirk, the V5 outperforms the GeForced based cards IMO. I base this on actual comparision between 3d Prohet DDR-DVI and the Voodoo5 5500. The 3d Prophet is a good card but the V5 gives the better eye candy and visual stimuli IMO. I cannot justify spending the additional $50 for a GeForce 2 based card over the cost of the Voodoo5 5500; i.e. 3D Prophet 2. The choice I'd make would be the V5-5500 but if ye can wait some and have a decent sized piggy bank the V5-6000 is coming soon. Yep, I am going to get one of those too. Ye needs to start think global community Whisper; which means using GMT timestamps (that be ZULU time for you civie types ). We have fleet members around the globe. 2100 EST 25 Jun would equal 0200 26 Jun GMT (ZULU). Then ye has to take into account timeframe that is most available for the majority of participants. This will not always be the best time for the scheduler either. Time I used today was not best for me but I knew that our global members could attend the chat - and a fine chat it was. Ideas are great Cmdr. Logan, the hard part IMO and IME is getting them out of the noggin' and into a webpage. The ideas I have for Corsair Cove abound, just haven't gotten around to putting them into html code and what not. Interesting, can be turned off though. As to info being sent, well that is questionable. Just a little script that displays desktop in a new window - quasi slight of hand. Other info can be obtained from the TCP/IP packet header - no biggy As to the monitor trick - how many of ye actually were foolish enough to go to the top right hand corner of ye monitor and say ahhhh..... Duuhhhhh!!! We have been giving info out freely ever since the advent of der cookie. To date they be benign but only a matter of time before they become malignant.
