How about pressing Alt+(left arrow) a few times? God, it's right on the Forum Index! Before I get too off topic, I want to ask: Will there be only 1 universe? How many servers will there be (or how will the galaxy be split)?

Demos are Beta, and have problems that will be fixed before the game is released. Just check the Troubleshooting FAQ (that's the link to the one that's constantly updated, so ya know), to see what you can do to the demos, if they don't work. You also need to also check the requirements, like they said. I was wondering about that, when he said that. Is it really that important to your story? I don't want to go around changing the histories of our dear old RP's. And, I'm sure no one else does. Also, to add to what DeSylva said, I'd like to also remind you: in the game (I'm not sure which/all versions), there were HQ stations for Orion, Wraith, ISS, SCID, and even Spectre Fleet..... And remember, the game starts back in 4-4-3000. You could push back the date of it back a bit, and/or include some/all of the fleets, already formed..... Heh, 3000. That means Nova's still in his late teens! Nice way to bring about my back-story..... Damnit, it's just you. Seriously, tell us your system specs, which version you are running, and whatever. This would also especially help: What graphics card do you have? Do you overclock? If so, how high do you push it? Do you meet the minimum requirements for the game? (this is a MUST) All the problems seem to revolve around people with a nVidia card, not reading the newer versions of the BCM Demo FAQ on the site. Either that, or just a plain RTFM/FAQ would help. I'll swing back later to see if I can help you.

Testing designs.... Here. It uses CSS, and I'm not sure if it would work in less than IE 5, or in Netscape or Opera. Please tell me if you've got any compatibility problems, with it. And please critique it! I'm still thinking over the color schemes for it....

I'm not sure.... It works on my Win ME Machine. If you can go into Display Properties->Settings->Click on Advanced, and look around for an option for Composite Synchronization, try to disable/enable it. On my computer, my monitor can't recieve some screen formats at certain refresh rates, and the DOS Full-Screen screens seemed to be the only ones doing it. It's hard to explain. I see 2 problems in your way. 1. You need a faster processor (at least 500mhz is recommended).... 2. You need at least a 16mb GFX Card.... Nothing integrated either. Other than that, looks okay. More ram would help, but that's it. Okay, now you've got to start using your Orion Fleet sig, Cadet! Check the Orion Fleet Discussion Forum (here in 3000ad's site), as there is a thread on it.

And its even more realistic in BCM/GCO! In BC3K (Non-Debug), you've got to fly within 25 Clicks (IIRC), but in BCM, you've got to clear all the way to zero, before you can dock. But, this is in part that the 'zero zone' takes up a good chunk of the model's boundary, while in BC3K, getting 'zeroed in' was impossible, because the distance was recorded from the center of the model.............

Like I said, take the plus signs out (They're only there to designate the variable of the shipname... Maybe I should have used a parenthesis....), put a ship name instead of Elite Force Marine, and fix those tags. --- There aren't any raider fleets. You might be thinking Insurgents, though. And no one knows if Gammulans and other Alien Militaries will be kept up; in fleets, or whatever. But, if the person you're looking at isn't human, the AI controls them. Of course, we've got 1 Gammulan Millitary person in the Fleet DB, ATM. And why don't you get one of the BCM Demos, or BC3K, and see if you would like to be a commander, or pilot, instead of a marine? Just choose wisely, whatever the choice is.

I installed Windows Me, on my D drive. I didn't get any problems. I just used F-Disk, to partition my new hard drive, copy it over, make my D drive my primary, upgrade from 98 to Me, and there you go. I used to use F-Disk a ton, back in DOS/Early Windows 95, on my old POS Packard Bell........ I'm a command line junkie still, and the Windows Registry doesn't bother me either...... I had to troubleshoot everything myself, just because of the crappy tech support..... But, learning the hard way was better for me. Did I mention, I'm extremely fluent in HTML? I told you I was a jack-of-all-trades! ----- I've got my "Windows Rot" problem under control, too! Had way too many programs installed since 1999 (last reformat).... Un-Installed programs I didn't use, and went into registry, win.ini, and Program Files folder, and deleted their stuff..... Seems to have worked..... Results may vary. Restrictions may apply.......

Yes, you still do. Take those plusses out, and give yourself a ship name as the asset. Just make up a shipname. What did you register in the Fleet DB? And you still have spaces in some of the tags.
