I agree with $lik. Remember that not all websites are based on the US Eastern Coast. I bet the demo file is out there, but SC is doing what $Lik said. No one wants the ftp problems that plagued the 1st 2 days of the released of Episode 1. SC doesn't either, I'm sure. --- Um, we do have to wait until time itself crosses over the international date line, to be sure. Around 7hrs, 20min. But I think my math's wrong. Anyone? I think so too. Maybe it would be listed under the "Organizations" logos on the logo page? The picture idea can be converted and added to in many ways to make a general Police logo. That's the best way to go, in my opinion. Since the police are galcom friendly, I used the terran logo as my backdrop, much like Delta Wing (Prime Fleet-Galcom) has.

Time for some logo building. First off we want corporations/guilds/organizations, or else the fleet guys and SC won't let us use any logos. I'm thinking up something for the police at the moment. The idea for the GSI (Galactic Special Investigations Bureau) is cool to me, although one for the GalCom Police Force in general would be better. Any ideas Spuzzum? You being the only active RPing and boarding police member here (other than myself), you're the only one to ask at this point. Yeah, and up in Fleet Related Discussions I posted some questions as to the organizations of police caste. Blades thinks we are partially allied with GalCom, much like the police and military of same country are. Here's a draft for a generic police/police organization logo. We'll put an abreviation above the bird (GSI; GPF for GalCom Police Force). It is scaled to the size of the other logos. GalCom's Prime Fleet -> Delta Wing already has one of their own. If you think -snore- ISDN is slow, I've got a 56k that only runs less than 31k, because my security system -snore- seems to create some line noise (or at least that's the best official phone company explanation). -snore- Hey, I downloaded the low content version of Episode 1 Demo overnight with DAP and my slow connection. I started at around 1:00am, went to sleep, and left the scheduler on to disconect at 9:00am, but at least it finished at around 7:30am. 6.5 hrs if you want to know. Well, for now, this is an unofficial RP idea. Read the Fleet DB Race/Caste Logo Page because it's got some empty sections (guilds, corporations). The GSI would easily fit under corporation, or organization. UPDATE: DISREGARD FOLLOWING: I'm still not sure if they work under some other organization (GalCom), so that information has to come first, though. Um, blades posted after I put this up. I'm wondering about the Police caste. Does the police caste work under GalCom/with GalCom? Or does it run on it's own, arresting both sides? I've heard people say things going both ways. --- Also, I'm thinking that the Police force should have it's own Logo, or at least police organizations, with logos. Read Into The Fire, Act 4, Page 4 for an idea for a police organization, called the GSI, or Galactic Special Investigations Bureau (yeah, I dropped the B off the GSI, because it didn't sound right), which is like the future of the FBI/CIA. I seriously agree with both Tac and Blades. The only way Prime Fleet is higher in command than the others is that SC belongs to it. It really shouldn't, because it's like the president of the United States having the control over all the military. He has the control, but it is equal over all sections of the military. --- Here's the best explanation. Fleets are equal. SC, is the commander-in-chief of the military. He controls all fleets, but belongs to Prime Fleet, because it is based at GalCom HQ, which is the location of his office or whatever he uses. --- Although I'm not affiliated with either GalCom or the Insurgency, I have read up on older RP's and read most of the history of the BC universe. Quick tech question for SC. Will the Second Demo Episode come with more of the optimizations enabled? I remembered reading the readme of Episode 1, which said they were disabled for the time being. Just wanted to know.

Since you said earlier that this RP would tie in with Into The Fire, I'm just letting you know that there's gonna be an investigation on the destruction of the S.S. Vulture, which may or may not cross over with your RP. I haven't been reading up on Independent Way so much, so I'm not sure if it will. I'll be reading up soon. Also, if you do want the crossover, You can use that little scenario for any crossovers you'd like, just email me something along the lines of what you'd want. Read the post for more info. He spoke some notes in his PDA's Log. (Uh, he doesn't really have a rank, so it ain't a commander/captain's log.) Log 20th of May, 3008. I'm in the GCV-McKendrick. Um, what time is it...... (sound of some junk falling on the floor) It's almost midnight, so it's more like the 21st of May. Well then, uh, the Vulture was destroyed by Gammulans, and most of the other Mercs I had begun to know are now dead. I wonder if I should still go on with the mission. If they don't need me, then I won't need to go anymore. I'm just afraid I'm gonna die or something. I'm only 27. Well, considering most of the Merc compliment died, those chances are slim. I'm just hoping for the best now. I still wonder what I'm gonna do. I signed up for the mission for my Marine skills, so maybe that's it. A land invasion of some sort. Oh well, I think I'm gonna take a short rest. The briefing is happening soon. Nova, out. MaHuJa, Um, if it's still crashing, well, check again for "release" drivers, not "beta" drivers. www.cnet.com has a checker for drivers, and any other program updates for windows. Go to cnet.com and look for Catch Up. (update): Hey, since you've got IE and WinMe, then you should get online, open IE, and go to tools->Windows Update to open windows update for some download fixes. Look for a microsoft virtual machine and download all the critical updates. You can also go to www.windowsupdate.com for it.
