I have heard on the Sci-fi channel forums that Warner Bros is considering Ryan Reynolds to star in a Flash movie for 06. Anybody got a link or something confirming this? Is this DC and Warner trying to make a comeback? I love the character and even liked the 90's TV series but i aint sure the Flash should be made yet. How about the Green Lantern?

The wife is now home! However she did such a bang up job the company wants her back again in two weeks. After thinking it over closely with much consideration and after depositing the company's check for 7700 smackers she can go back! This trip cost her a PSP, 256 mg memory stick, Wipeout Pure, Twisted Metal, Spider man 2 (if available) This second trip will cost her an Athlon64 Area 51. No negotiations and no kidding. Besides I really found out what a cool litle human my daughter really is! They have also hinted that they would like her on a permanent basis. Jeez, anyone out there from Phoenix? If so let me know what I am getting into.

Anyone who has been to Europe or lives in Europe: I need yer advice

I think Greece is a great choice due to the low cost involved. Great beaches, island cruises, history and some of the best scenery I have ever viewed. I wouldnt suggest buying any electronics as they have a 100% tax on luxury items, however food is inexpensive and plentiful. I know that Mykynos is the the Island of choice, but Greek workers and smart tourist hit the more little known ones. My favorites are are Hydra and Poros both where you could see the Blue Gold factory where they make some wonderful china on sight, or tour Hydra and eat Kalamari at a seaside resturant. Good luck. -

Well The wife gets back friday night. Not a moment too soon I might add. However I must concur with Jag as I have discovered what a cool person my little girl is. She is only five but sensed her old man is isn over his head and has really helped out. She grabs cold drinks out the fridge, takes her dirty clothes to the laundry room, and has been behaving exceptionally well in school. We hung out saturday on what was easily one of the prettiest days weather wise I've seen in Southwestern PA, mid 70's, slight breeze, azure blue skies not one cloud visible. We washed both mine and the wifey's car, rode her bike, made a bowl on her pottery wheel, went to Highland park to feed the ducks, went to the playground, had italian ices, and topped if off cooking burgers on the deck. She even told me " dad im gonna be tired can I go to bed after we eat?" Priceless! Sunday after church we went to my friends house who happens to be a chef for an absolutely HUGE spread on his patio. I even got a break as his daughter is 15 and kept The Evil One occupied while the old man lost 40 bucks playing five card stud( Texas hold em is sooo trendy!) Not that we didnt have our moments. The first night she cried herself to sleep pleading for her mommy. She also has a really hard time getting up and has made me late for work everyday last week. Also my hard luck continues. My car hit a HUGE pothole and is so far out of alignment it is virtually undrivable, and I strained my knee so bad working out last week I had to have an Xray and ultrasound Friday and have been hobbling every since. It made for some interesting moments at the duck pond. All in all , not nearly the drama I expected, it was really a cool experience, However zi do still have three days left, so maybe I'm speaking too soon. Anyway I thought I drop a line to my other family to let them know I'm still alive. Oh yeah I always had the utmost respect for my two buds Grayfox and $ilk who do this on a regular basis, but my awe for what you guys do knows no bounds. Hats off to you!

I concur; what a season!

No you werent OMG I cant beleive that happened. This is shaping up to be a great year fro @$ and its fans!

I havent seen it. I dont want to see it now, preferring to watch season 1 on Netflix first.Scriv get used to it, the better a series is, the greater the chance it will be canceled. People like crap, anything thought provoking that requires any investment from the viewer, is scorned like Michael Jackson at the Kid's choice awards. I try not to get to enamored with any series since me liking it is usually the Kiss of death. If its not a cop show, medical show, lawyer show, or a cop-lawyer-medical show John Q Public aint interested. Network tv is so aboniminably bad it is scarcely worth watching.I Tivo these network shows: Lost, Veronica Mars, Las Vegas and West Wing. Of that group only Lost is worth watching every week. Veronica had promise but may have already jumped the shark, West Wing out a habit I guess and Las Vegas...because the four female leads are just too hot! particularly Vanessa Marcil(?) That is why like you I am disappointed that Cable networks are beginning to act like thier network bretheren. Showtime alone has axed a number of promising series.I hope that HBO doesnt make the same mistake with The Wire and Carnivale.

Thanks guys, Jag you got any suggestions?

Well today is it. My wife is winging her way to Phoenix for two weeks on a consulting gig for Boston University's Psych Rehab Team. While I am happy for the 700.00 per day plus expenses she will get, that leaves me at home alone with the Evil One aka My five year old daughter. My mom was going to come to town and give me a hand but, my 17 y/o nephew has the Chicken Px and while taking him to the doctor my sister fell and broken her leg. Mom is staying to help them out and besides she has been exposed to the Pox and I aint ready to walk that road right now.. I am a tough guy (or used to be). I supervise a facillity that houses 50 inmates from the Allegehny county prison, I worked for three years on the Pgh City Schools gang intervention unit, did outreach work in the toughest housing project in the city, and nothing scares me as much as having the Evil One here alone with me for TWO WEEKS! I dont think I will ber seeing you guys around for a while so any help or moral support you offer is appreciated

DS you da man! Happy b-day to a righteously cool brother. I hope this year is better than the last.

Absolutely AWESOME! SCI FI Friday has a real anchor and I cant wait until July..any thoughts on the season finale?
-
Best episode yet!I bet Boone bites the big one!

Tac I think the original series started at the fall of the 12 colonies. The two hour pilot covered the fall of Caprica and the rescue of the colonists. Other than that I agree with both you and Mase's assessment. I am SO over Enterprise being cancelled!

Sc you know a few things about me, I been around awwile, so I'll be brief. Sorry about the accident, you know things wouldnt be the same without your acid tongue. Sorry about the ride too, but....DUDE YOU"RE KILLING ME! That Car? You are KILLING ME! As you know from previous posts, I am quite jealous of you. My wife thinks youre hot and THAT CAR!...NOT FAIR! Since I have bought several of your games I feel I am entitled to part of that car. My estimations indicate I paid for the knob on the sound system, so pony up and send it to Pittsburgh post haste! All kidding aside I hope you are feelng better and know that your crew around the world have you in our prayers (those of us who do pray) -
For the ignorant and unaware, prior to the Simpson case, Cochran did groundbreaking work helping poor people being brutalized by the police in LA in the 60's. It is safe to say that a lot of the police reform in LA could be credited to his work...BTW his son is a Sgt in the LA police Dept. Cochran also worked to free Geronimo Pratt who was wrongfully accused and jailed for 27 years. Mr Cochran never collected a fee and work pro bon for 27 years. I hope to God none of you ever have need for a lawyer.

Can you say poetic justice? The guys at Sega and Visual Concepts have to be loving this one. -
I'm anxious to see what you folks think about BG now that the season finale is coming up. I really like how they have developed the mythos for this show and also how the stories are playing out. Last weeks episode was clearly the best of the year and was played up by Harry and gang at Aint it Cool as having an opening that was the best two minutes on tv this season. Starbuck is a really complex character and Gaius is ...well Gaius. I think it is the most adult science fiction show that has ever been done. What do you folks think...be gentle now!

I saw a stream of the Spiderman2 movie and it was the BOMB!I understand that PSP ships with SM2 as well as a game.I NEVER was interested in Gameboy; with the smallscreen it felt too much like a toy. I held the PSP in a local GameStop and the heft and craftsmanship is more akin to high end electronics than a kiddie toy. I am so there!

Top Cardinal Blasts 'Da Vinci Code' as 'Cheap Lies'
Kevin Trotter replied to jamotto's topic in The Arts
The church is certainly not without faults and yes they have long benfited from the ignorance of some of its followers, but the retort was done for one reason that I can see...There are a lot of STUPID PEOPLE out there so taken in by pop culture they are blind to any truth! They are the folks who think wrestling is real, write letters to tv characters,etc...they believe evrything they see on tv and read so they need to be told " Dude this is not real" In the age of Wag the Dog and Weapons of Mass destruction people need an instruction manual for thier own feeble brains. Not to say there arent elements of truth in this crappy book, but hell there are elements of truth in "Congo" that dont make it a documentary! -
and that warrants a 7/10? Jeez SC I wish you'd do my performance appraisal at work.
