According to CNN: Army probes whether GIs broke military code The military said all 19 members of the Army's 343rd Quartermaster Company -- which has been in Iraq for nine months -- were told to report to duty Wednesday to deliver fuel from Tallil to Taji, a dangerous area north of Baghdad. WASHINGTON (AP) -- The Federal Communications Commission won't intervene to stop a broadcast company's plans to air a critical documentary about John Kerry's anti-Vietnam War activities on dozens of TV stations, the agency's chairman said Thursday. "Don't look to us to block the airing of a program," Michael Powell told reporters. "I don't know of any precedent in which the commission could do that." Eighteen senators, all Democrats, wrote to Powell this week and asked him to investigate Sinclair Broadcast Group's plan to run the program, "Stolen Honor: Wounds That Never Heal," two weeks before the November 2 election. Powell said there are no federal rules that would allow the agency to prevent the program. "I think that would be an absolute disservice to the First Amendment and I think it would be unconstitutional if we attempted to do so," he said.

Another reason Kerry is living in dreamland. Concerning the loophole where companies have incentives to export the workforce "we will close that loophole in a nanosecond". Hah, such fancy words he probably doesn't even know how long a nanosecond is let alone think things can get done in any government that fast.

NEW YORK (CNN/Money) - Blue chips tumbled Wednesday, dragged down by surging oil prices and weakness in producers of metals and other commodities. The sell-off in commodities happened amid new reports that China would be taking measures to slow its rapid economic growth, which would, in turn, hurt demand for copper, steel and aluminum. "A slowing Chinese economy would put a damper on commodity prices," Schrader added. "People are concerned that slowdown would hurt the global economy." Will this mean lay offs in the copper, steel and aluminun industry. Yup. Where am I going with this? I'll let you take a guess.

BAGHDAD, Iraq (CNN) -- U.S. forces have exhumed a mass grave in northwestern Iraq and uncovered the remains of hundreds of people. Many of the bodies found at the site near al-Hatra are believed to be the bodies of Kurdish women and children thought slaughtered by the Saddam Hussein regime. . Sure raise the minimum wage to $7.00 okay now companies will raise their prices either to keep the profit margin or thinking "hey people are making more let's charge more they can afford it" making the minimum wage raise a wash. And that education statement about N.Y.city is not Bush's fault or the federal government it's Albany. N.Y. city tax money goes to support upstate schools while City schools have to skimp and save because of this disproportionate tax share.

Kerry keeps saying that he's going to roll back the tax cuts on 200,000+ income yeah do that and guess what they won't pay it they will just raise prices to pay for it or cut jobs to bring back their profit what they were making before taxes raised. Oh yeah the Pell grants have gone up because there are more and more immigrants in this country that want to go to college but can't afford it. Just getting home and turning it on I hear kerry say that Bush has lost more jobs etc than any other president. Apparently he didn't do his homework on the unemployment rate that jamotto posted in another thread.
