  2. SHHHH!!!!!!!! Don't give them any ideas.
  3. Well the FIRST time Remo wanted to see my spiffy new base on Procon so he signed in as Insurgent. I popped out by the Command and Control and Remo popped out by the barracks. I made my way to a DJP (#2 I think) and tried giving Remo directions. Those darn bases are BIG so Remo hops into an assault vehicle and drives over my way. I kicked Remo out of the driver's seat and went joyriding myself. After that it was time for a coffee break or something. The second time went like Remo said except that he far overrated my skill as a shuttle pilot. After I climb in through the cockpit window and lock the marines in the back (plausible deniability) I take off through the trees like a drunken monkey trying to remember all the old manual controls. Well, the poor thing finally shoots off a low rise in a cloud of dust much like the General Lee from Dukes of Hazzard and I get airborne. After doing several barrel rolls (imagine throwing a brick) I finally get the craft stable and begin tooling around over the forest. Remo's fighter did manage a few hits on me (in his screenshot). I was going to land and "give it back to him" but at night the water looks amazingly like a nice flat runway. Needless to say I was stuck. I've seen Derek explain floating a shuttle and taking off before but for the life of me couldn't remember it at the time. The exact instant I decide to go for a swim is when Remo's shuttle arrives and snatches mine away from me. I tried swimming for shore but that was gonna be a no go. We need one of those little personal water scooters. It was Remo's dinner time so we called it a night. (5+ year vet runs off to read the manual and tutorial)
  4. I don't get Sawyer yet. I can't figure out if he's a good guy trying to be bad or a bad guy trying to be good.
  5. Hehe that's cruel. Now combine it with the Japanese water white noise maker but let it not totally cover it up.
  6. ok cleared a lot of them
  7. quote:still no one has answerd my question of why monkies are still monkies and not something more close to a humanEasy. The original line (monkies, apes, etc) did well enough but the "new" line tending torwards humans did even better without displacing the original line. New fossil find might be common ancestor for all apes.
  8. Because then you may gain insight into where we are going.

Locke "has seen the the heart of the island" and knows what's up. Yeah, right. And you know this how? Just a guess. Locke is always running around the jungle. He had opportunity. Doesn't mean he actually did do it. I'll gladly be wrong.
  10. Ya gotta love an article that can use buttocks. Grandma used to pat me and say "round but firm".

  12. Bleh, dunno. Fleets in MP should be their primary assocation. Galcom, Insurgent, or Raider. In RP you can write yourself into or out of any situation. So it seems to me that a group of players who joined ISS could just play MP and kick rear as ISS. While the RP guy in the group could write ISS as the In System Support fleet and fend off any Insurgent incursions. These things can be mutually exclusive.
  13. Looks like Zane has it for the "test" match. Edit: Hmmm I replied "RIGHT AFTER" Zane. How'd Remo post before me? Surely I didn't zone out that much. hehe. It's all good.
  14. quote:The server logs show you being destroyed but not by whom which is odd. Not at all. Documented in the VCF. quote:21. If your CC is destroyed due to a reactor shutdown or similar mishap unrelated to being destroyed by another client or NPC, the server will not send a message because it doesn't handle that situation. You will just respawn as normal and other clients will see you as reconnecting, not knowing what happened. This usually happens if you took serious combat damage and your nuclear reactor goes South and self-destructs. If I damage Ben enough so that I do not destroy him immediately but his reactor later blows it is just registered as a destroyed. Kinda like the bullet not killing you but the gangrene does. Also, If I were to sign in as simply a fighter I am "Chavik [NONE]". Dunno about piloting one of my own. Never paid attention. I would also like to retract my suggestion about a free for all after objectives. Not fair to those waiting on the sidelines.
  15. http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/miracle/program.html It was John Lithgow and not John Cleese.
  16. I saw the most interesting show on Nova a while back. Two "x rated" spots. 1. The man did his thing in sort of liquid filled vessel so they could show that part. 2. They showed a live birth. EVERYTHING. And get this; John Cleese narrated. Other than that it was extremely interesting. Getting an egg fertilized is a feat unto itself. The sperm have to go a long way in a hostile environment to get to the egg. After which the "lucky" sperm must match neuron receptors on the egg exactly or no go. Then the egg softens the wall and the sperm enters and begins the dna stuff. Then the egg must attach to the uterus wall and burrow like a little parasite. The rest is what Soback has discussed. Watch it if you can. It's "X rated" in spots but in a clinical sort of way.
  17. I finally bought something at E-Bay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=4938683707 My Timex has taken to hiding lately. The velcro clasp is about worn out anyway. My other nice watch has had a dead battery in it for about 7 years and refused to work with a new one so I treated myself.
  18. I'm just glad Arafat died of natural causes.
  19. You would probably have to do a "controlled experiment" type thing. Day to day and week to week you probably wouldn't notice. That one time you simply "have" to pass someone and REALLY get into it could ruin a whole week's worth of savings.
  20. The amount you would save in a car for my 30 or your 40 lbs would be tiny and unnoticed unless you went deep into the decimals. But try leaving several hundred pounds of junk in the trunk and watch what happens. Reminds me. It's probably time for a tune up.
  21. So you are a dolphin?
  22. This should curl your toes. quote: The American Pharmacists Association, with 50,000 members, has a policy that says druggists can refuse to fill prescriptions if they object on moral grounds, but they must make arrangements so a patient can still get the pills. Yet some pharmacists have refused to hand the prescription to another druggist to fill.
  23. I did my part. I lost almost 30 pounds. My car gets 28 - 30 MPG. That isn't quite as good as the Escort at 30 - 32 but the Altima is much nicer.
  24. I remember a long time ago Derek played a match or so of MS Combat flight simulator with us. That would be cool if we could kidnap him for a session.
