  1. No. To my knowledge in the Free BC3K 2.09 the game starts in debug mode to disable the CD check. This is in the bat file and has nothing to do with you pressing keys.
  2. I use Eclipse. Always have, always will. Of course in my RP profile I've had several assignments aboard other ships.
  3. quote: This is place where i'm supposed to tell you problems and you help me with them. No, this is the BC COMMUNITY not the personal help line. Sure we try to help out people as best we can, but we are not under ANY obligation to provide help... especially for UNSUPPORTED software. quote: You tell me that after 20+hours of download that I didn't download it right? Even when the program I was using said: Yep. quote: I don't get it. No, I guess you don't. It really isn't that difficult for a file to be corrupt on download. As was stated earlier, shouldn't the lack of hundreds of others complaining about installers not working tip you off that it just might be YOUR download has a problem, not the installer? Basically, go redownload the files. The best tech support in the world can't fix a corrupt download.
  4. I agree it's pretty stupid, but then again Star Wars: Clone Wars is a bit redundant. Still I'm sure they could have thought up something better...
  5. Well generaly prisioners are obtained by sticking a gun up to an intruders head and forcing him down to a detention cell. Unfortunately most marines have yet to overcome their primal urges to completly annihilate the creature that attacked him and his companions. This usually results in a problem known as "messy floor syndome" and the propler crews are called in to remove the ramining biomatter. On the plus side, it keeps the ships Commander from having to feed his new guests. You can get prisioners in FF and ACM, just depends on if any survive long enough to be captured. And yes I believe sending marines to the Detention hold has them guard it.
  6. No problem.
  7. I'm using ZoneAlarm right now. It seems to work ok. The URL is www.zonelabs.com
  8. Set waypoints for the CC and tell it to follow them while you go off an explore.
  9. I'm going to take a wild guess that it's going to be in stores... If your wondering what gave me that notion it's quite possible that the HUGE box on display at EB did. If you are from p'cola, goto University Mall go into Electronics Botique, you know right next to the jewlers, and look for a very large box that says Battlecruiser Millinium. Of course I'm pretty sure those boxes will be ariving at EB via mail carrier. You will have to wait longer to get it if you haven't preordered becuase the first mastering will be going to those who preordered.
  10. Or to simplify even more, whike in Tacops, just zoom out of the debris field and zoom back in.
  11. I have and played through all the factions of Earth 2150. I found the game a better than average attempt, but in the end there was still certain unit combinations that would just shred through everything. I usually just popped on rockets and plasma for the UCS, Sonic cannons or lightning guns and rockets for the Lunar corp, and I forget what for the ED. Not that it matterd. Once I got my core units group in the UCS and made certain I'd weathered NEO's blasted unit takeovers, I'd haul in the veterans from my main base and clumpped through the mission shredding every thing. LC was slightly different... Remember that neat little unit with that super energy weapon they gave you... well for the first 1/2 the game that sucker can decimate an entire enemy base. After that you should have strong enough units to blast your way through. Overall I found it to be a fun varient of the standard Gather, Build, Overwhelm formula RTS's seem to be fond of.
  12. I have been thinking about trying... but haven't gotten around to it. Too many other things going on. Odd I just tried it. Just stuck the CD in and double clicked "setup" seems to be installing without any problems... Now to see if it will actually RUN the game. Ok the game did RUN, and I DID get into Xtreme Carnage without mishap. I did run into a sort of major problem... the mouse was limited to a little box on the upper left, almost as if that was what it thought the extent of my screen was. Made it slightly difficult to get into certain things. [ 08-03-2001: Message edited by: Eclipse ]
  13. Calm down Hellbinder. There is nothing wrong with him voicing his opinion. In fact there was quite a fuss over the idea of losing the bridge and other cockpits early in the beta. As it is now the bitmap really isn't missed that much though there are a few other things that might be nice to do in it's place.
  14. Bridge Chatter was in there for awhile, but I don't know when, why, or if it disappeared... I will say I haven't noticed it recently though.
  15. I usually never launch fighters, take manual control of the BC, use afterburners and retros to evade PTA, turn on EMD to keep missiles off my back. Pick a target and kill.
  16. I think it might be that while you have a very good reputation with Gamms and their allies, you would have a very poor reputation with Insurgents/Galcom and their allies.
  17. it should be Commander Hellbinder(CE) I don't believe he has been promoted.
  18. It is intended and it is just autocentering. I generally have better things to do than try shooting with the turrets.
  19. Hope someone lives through evac and send em back out...
  20. How yould YOU look if you had your face plastered to a scanner so they could make a "photorealistic" texture? I might pick it up in the bargain bin, but right now I don't see much that intrests me in it.
  21. Deflector Arrays. Buy at Galcom sell at Pluto. you can hold quite a few more. I would suggest that you search the Debris fields... very helpful.
  22. E5: Not all fighters require 2 crew members.
  23. Badgerious... ye be a tad late for that...
  24. 1)no 2-3)yes
  25. Maybe if I reply we can bring the average age back down to the low Thirties... Welcome aboard
