  1. LOL< those newbie wishlists and suggestions are SO funny. Where were they 3 years ago when the game came out? And DON'T tell me that only now did they hear about this wonderful game, with all the controversy surrounding the game you have to work overtime to not hear about it.
  2. What about that digital camera that doubles as a video camera and a webcam. I saw it over at good guys or circuit city, one of those stores, it's expensive as hell, but oh man is it cool.
  3. Now that's a perfect example of paranoia. Poor SC, I would go nuts with all those people on my back everyday, how does he live through it?
  4. I can make a 99.9% guarantee it's not Terminus. I agree that it's most likely Feespace.
  5. You guys should check out BC:M demo. 1.Drop down menus for easy and convinient personel assignment. 2.Capital ship does not behave like an interceptor. Slower turning rate. 3.Go ahead and try launching a shuttle and parking next to the space station and then zoom out. Always get a kick out of that one.
  6. LOL. I thought that is had some kind of special meaning pertaining to games. I guess the meaning for the game is kinda like shareware of sort?
  7. And by asking what a legacy product is I don't mean a list of names (I got a list of them at the top of this thread) I mean why are they called legacy.
  8. Probably a dumb question. What is a legacy product? I have an original disk of BC3000AD v2.0 is that a legacy product?
  9. Nice, really really nice.
  10. Try downloading the BC:M demo, or the free BC3000AD v2.9. I recommend the demo, better graphics, and absolutely read the online manual.
  11. On a little lighter note, what did we learn from this? DON'T CHEAT.
  12. Don't you all know that it all revolves around $$$$$. You want a good review, you buy it. That's all there is to it. Even if your game is crap you will still get the most gentle and uplifting review if you pay.
  13. That is why I love shopping at EB, they always have mixups like this. ALWAYS.
  14. I never tried mugging a ship. Do you get a violation for that or is it just your conscience that takes a hit?
  15. SC put out the free BC3000AD v2.9 kinda ealry. I was down at the EB world this week and there's a disk of BC3000AD v2.0 for $19.99. Obviously people are hearing about it and it's getting good reviews if a game that's 3 years old is selling for 20 bucks. Nice.
  16. I have thier one of Rowans games called Mig Alley and it's great, especially the flight physics. Now I saw this Rowans Battle of Britain at the store, and was thinking about buying it. Does anyone have this game? How is the gameplay, the flight physics, is it buggy or not? Bottom line, is it worth buying?
  17. LOL, ok I will clear it all up. Anything about the BCM Subscription goes here --> http://www.3000ad.com/cgibin/ultimatebb.cg...ic&f=9&t=000240 Anything else about the dev diary update, epecially the big news of free v2.9 and Derek's funny words goes in this thread. Also, I didn't want my thread deleted but rather moved here or just left alone, but I guess that's up to the moderators mood (please be kind). So lets get it all together and continue.
  18. To NovaEM Relax, kick back, take a deep breath, and read this. IT'S READY WHEN IT'S READY; AND RIGHT NOW IT AIN'T READY.
  19. This one is not coming out for a while but it looks kinda interesting. Computer Gaming World said that it's a mix between Magic the gathering, Might and magic and some other games. Check it out and post your thoughts. www.etherlords.com
  20. Hint: Easy way to crush a coup d'etat. If you have police and a prison, you can just arrest the soilders that are waging a coup d'etat against you. Don't know why but they don't fight against the police, just quietly lower thier guns and follow them to prison.
  21. Ok, I just played it for the past 3 days, so here's my review. The game deserves a 9 out of 10. It's very interesting in a unique sence that the people are not just some mindless drones walking around your island and every one of them lives out their lives that you can track and watch. Also I like that they are very diverse in their opinions. The buildings are also nice in shape and variety. Not many animations though in them, I would like to see some smoke from the factories or something of that sort. As for the ammount of time they take to build that's the best part. I just hate the games where you plop down a building and there it is (I just get a feeling of "WHAT NOTHING MORE TO THIS") it adds a great deal of realism to the game. I would like a better building animation though, like scaffoldings and such. The game can be approached from many different ways, try to be nice and kind, or when it doesn't work and people start to want to much, put them back in their place. Nice game, takes the best concepts from others and puts them into one package (that's what makes the good ones). Also, is there a forum for Tropical? Hopefully an official one, and if there is could someone place a link to it because I can't find it. It's official site is kinda skimpy. Thanks.
  22. I just got this game. Does any one else have it? How would you rate it and why?
  23. I will probably be a trader. I just don't want to register yet because BC:M is not a completly persistent online game, so I am waiting for GCO. Then when it's close to being released I will register.
  24. The game prety much is like privateer with a little different storyline. You do missions for money, buy and upgrade your ships(the only difference here is that you can own more then one ship), and just go with the storyline or kick back and do missions and let the story unfold on it's own(that's what I am doing right now, since I shot down some of the United Earth League ships they been after me, so I bought a cargo ship and just do mining runs from asteroid belt to stations that need minerals) The changes from Privateer are better graphics (compared to Privateer) and kick ass flight engine compared to everything else (even I-War 2). Don't buy it for 29.99 though, because you might not like it and feel like you threw away 30 bucks. I played that game once for about 20 minutes at my friends and was dead set against it because I couldn't get the hand of the flight engine (you turn one way, ship goes the other way and it makes for some hard dog fights). Now that I saw it for 19.99 I decided to give it another shot. So I actually went through the training missions and found out that there's some nifty things thrown in that if used right can make you an ace at dogfighting, like computer assisted thrusters and some other stuff. But once you amass enough money to buy the best fighter and outfit it to your liking (no matter how hard you try you need to choose between getting the best thing and skipping on something else because of not enough space on the ship or of downgrading a little bit and cramming one more thing into the compartment, that makes for kinda unique ships because they have different equipment and handle differently depending on your mass) you can just go on a rampage agains the faction that you don't like or just take away cargo from the merchants. So, it's worth buying this game for 19.99, but unless you are sure about it, don't spend $30 bucks on it.
  25. Parias, when I clicked on that link that takes you to that win NT site I thought that you were trashing the game by comparing it to how crapy windows can be sometimes with their crashes lock ups etc....
