$10 a month is something, but look at it this way. Look at Ultima online, it basically tests and builds it's game as time goes on and complaints pile up. That game charges $10 a month and yet it's plagued by so many bugs that after playing for an hour you start wondering how the hell anyone has the conscience to even put that game in the stores instead of just releasing it free for download and attaching a release file to it with a warning that the game is just bieng tested. So basically not only you have to pay for the game but you are also paying the company to test it for them. My friend played it for 3 months, the after he made so many complaints and they basically blew him off he droped it. So if Derek will charge $10 a month to play GCO and he will deliver it like he promisses in gameplay and in shape, (and up to now he always did) then consider it cheap and well worth it.

If you are over 60 deduct your licence. I once saw an old man with 3 passengers driving on the opposite side of the road. An oncoming car actually went onto the curb to let him pass. He saw that, slowed down, looked and then continued as if nothing was wrong and it was the other car that was doing something weird. Then at the intersection, guess what, instead of stopping because the light was red, he pulled and stopped right in the middle, right under the light, but just far enough so that he could see it. Basically blocked the whole intersection. Then when the cars started honking he did some weird manuvers in the middle of it, then did a 180 and was thinking about which side to go back on, I was happy that he finaly chose the right one. When I took a look at the man's face, the expression was like what the hell is everyone doing? I think that if you are over 60 then it's a driving test for you every year, and if anything like that happens to me, I am giving up my licence voluntarily.

How hard is it to read about something that you are going to use before you actually use it? How dare he blame someone else for his mistake. YOU SHOULD ALWAYS READ THE FAQ AND THE README FILE, guess you deserve it if you don't do something you are supposed to.

I think he might be askind if everyplayer would need a cd for multiplayer or would you only need one cd to start a multiplayer game and then everyone else can log on. Kinda like a spawn version of Diablo, where if you and your budy want to play you can install a spawn version on his computer and then start a multi game on yours and he can join without the cd.

I look at it this way.For GCO. If it's advertising from the real world, like coca cola and other stuff then if it brings down the monthly cost of the game, I am fine with it. If it's for people in the game, if I am a trader and have a trading outpost someplace, I would love for people to come visit and say that they saw my add a gazillion miles away in some other system, it stuck and they were around so they dropped by.

We will see who will be laughing last, them for crapping on the game and wanting to play BC:M or GCO when everyone is talking about it or us when we get to say, things like, hey sucker, what do you think about the game now?

Whenever I hear that the release date has moved I just smile. For me it means that the game will be just that much better.

Are you talking about GCO or BCM? If GCO then if you destroy a vesel carrying illegal items you should get your reputation reduced, even you are a police officer, because you can always disable the other ship (wait for a sos signal) and then tow it to the station.

The reason I would say it's like Hercules because remember all that stupid/retarded jokes that were in Hercules, well guess what, they are in Andromeda too, so that's why I said that it's like watching a poorly made comedy show.

Yeah, I read the faq, it says something about some problems with voodoo cards and that they are unresolvable because 3dfx are out of business. If voodoo 3 will run the game then I am not going to upgrade untill the next summer. The rest of my system is ok so the only thing I am worrying about is that voodoo card.

So, does that mean I don't need to upgrade my 3d card to play BC:M, I want to find out now because it's much simpler to get a new 3d card now then go through the frustration of buying BC:M and trying to play it only to find out that I gotta go back to the store and look for a new 3d card, would much rather do that before the game is out and be prepared for it.

There were no problems with the demo because the 1st demo is using DX7. All the other versions will be using DX8 including the BC:M itself. So I was wondering if voodoo 3 will be able to handle the BC:M.

I am running windows98 SE, the best windows I ever tried. Dont want the w2k, I heard it eats up a lot of system resources, so I will upgrade my pc to the max first, and maybe then, someday, get w2k.

What would be the best card right now for no more than $150. What about Hercules Prophet? Also, if voodoo 3 with 1.7 drivers works with DX 8 but doesn't support all of the DX 8 functions, will it play BC:M or not? [ 05-14-2001: Message edited by: Soback ]
