Looks like they have posted some of them on their official gallery as well.

While you folks are waiting, sink your teeth into these. Also, I sent the 60 shots to DC and they're sitting on them it seems. photo747 photo748 photo749 photo750 photo751

Whats there to fix? Its moving faster around the planet (its in orbit) than you are moving.

Asset switching is based on class and the commander career can't do it, because he has his own forces. e.g. a marine can grab a vehicle and run off with it, but he can't fly a fighter. An EFP can grab any type of fighter, but not gunships etc etc And this has nothing to do with the asset you start the game with because even if you do have one, you will probably end up losing it at some point. The assets you can use are those found in the game world; so you can't buy one, deploy it and use it.

Man, I better release those shots and movies huh? Seeing how you guys are literally climbing walls.

Anyway, I just got into my office, so I'll see about getting the shots up later today; and maybe some movies (if I can get the latest version of Fraps working ok)

quote: Originally posted by Spindoktor: For those interested in this game, here is some good info. in the form of beta reports. Since its coming out (11/10) in the US before UC, I'll be picking this up. It certainly sounds good from these reports. Yeah, I saw that the other. I'm looking forward to this one too. Hope its not as tedious as the previous one. -
quote: Originally posted by Jaguar: quote: Originally by Supreme Commander Anyway, I alerted Brian to the thread and he has since posted a warning of sorts. That was a "of sorts" that is for sure. I'm here, and if you don't shape up, you won't get any ice cream. Woohoo, that's gonna be taken seriously... Go figure. Then that git Shingen doesn't realize that he was called a lying sob specifically for what he posted. Yeah, he has lurked on the Dreamcatcher forums and only posts when necessary. Yet, he only registered in Oct 03. and only started postind when I started posting there. Go to the GG forum and search on the same handle, and you'll see. I think that twit is aspiring to become the next Huffman - except that he's actually played the game and Huffman hasn't. Ever.

quote: Originally posted by Extinct_Reptilia: Well, I would rather play the game. That's a no brainer. I'm just really anxious to view how what'll be like, that's all. I actually have the shots, but have been busy with the last parts of the manual because it has to go to production today. So, you have to wait a little longer.

You should know by now that when an upgradeable system is being replaced, it is first downgraded (hence the reason it appears to be damaged) during the replacement process; in order to simulate reduced functionality during the upgrade. I don't know how you acquired that amount of Numega's, but its perfectly normal, due to the range of the values. But if you have a saved game - that is from the VERY LATEST BCM build, I can take a look at it to see if something fishy is going on.

At least there is someplace where mature individuals can discuss things. Hence the reason for the jealous temper tantrums on other forums, Due in whole to the fact that they can't come here and spew their anarchistic crapola, which seems to really stick in their craw. I love it! EXACTLY! Anyway, I alerted Brian to the thread and he has since posted a warning of sorts.

LOL!, you guys must be bored

quote: Originally posted by Race Bannon IV: Gee after all these years I've been thinking I'm an adult. And Mr.Nice developer guy who slams Derek and then informs him that NO ONE who plays his games or posts on his forums will buy a BC product, what a maroon! He slams DS for his forum moniker then basically infers HE has so much power none of his customers will buy a BC product cause they are adults? Them folks who drank the Kool-Aid in Guyana were adults too. I guess if Derek is the Supreme Commander Mr. Nice developer guy is the Grand Poobah..All hail! Not even going to address the comments of that other wanker. Hence the reason I didn't pay any attention to that fool.

Anyway, I'm still a tad concerned about the ground zero detailing (see shot 738) and it may need another detail texture pass to make it better (yes, this game is going to make your graphics card its b*tch) from that height. As you can see (shots 732, 733), the higher you go (the jetpack altitude is on the right), the better it looks because of the resolution and detail texturing. To make ground zero look like, e.g. shot 733 or even 732, would mean some very high res detail textures - which is going to make any pre-2001 video card, pee on the sound card sitting next to it). Can't do anything about it now though; maybe in a patch or something. Gonna talk to Darrin (the primary developer of the new terrain engine SDK) to see what we can come up with and if I can implement a quick solution in the game or not.

See? This is the kind of thing I'm talking about

Just follow the instructions in the FAQ to uninstall the game. Then re-install and get it RUNNING before you start applying patches. If you can't get it running from a fresh install, patches aren't going to help. [ 10-26-2003, 06:53 AM: Message edited by: Supreme Cmdr ]
